Is there a hermes emulator for Windows ? - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Hi.
(I Have search the forum and Wiki about this, but haven't found)
Is there a Hermes Emulator for Windows ?
In other words:
- I'd like to try most of the cooked windows mobile available here, and see the interface, hear the sounds, and navigate through menus, etc...
- I'd like to try many kinds of software before I am installing into my Jasjam.
- I'd like to try to cook something... (Maybe)
How Can I Try those on PC first ?
Thanks
Oren

There is not an emulator specific to the Hermes hardware, but you can get a Windows Mobile device emulator from Microsoft.

Has nothing to do with Hermes Mobile 6. Moved to Hermes.
Search Morphgear.

After using the sites search feature to answer a dozen questions I had, I am left with a couple of quick questions I cant find answers to..
I use Windows Powertoys to view my phone on my pc's desktop, although it doesnt allow the same functionality as it does if you plug a PDA into it.
What else is there to use that will emulate the phone on a pc desktop?
Thanks
U can try Pocket Controller-Professional v5.05

Hey that looks pretty good.. thanks
Does exactly what I want.. you can send commands to the phone via the mouse.
Windows PowerToys doesnt allow that if you are using Windows Smartphone, only a PDA, CE device
Thanks
Err.. but wat i dun like is some software was installed in the phone right ?

WinCE shell in WM - is it possible?

Shall I question - it is possible start on WindowsMobile6 graphic interface from WindowsCE? (best that, what had HP Jornada 72x ) Meanwhile I'm found application, which only transfer start panel to lower part display.
Not really. There is an app (sorry, don't remember the name) that makes today screen look like win XP but I am not even sure if it work on WM 6.
The shell part of CE is not there.
That application (maybe) called PocketWin, but it needed Macromedia Flash Player

Windows Mobile emulators?!!!!

Hey,
As you all know I've made a site for touch friendly programs: www.touch-innovation.com
Basically to help me through adding programs and such, I need a windows mobile emulator to make life easier for me!
Link me to some please - free if you can
Isn't there one on the windows site in the wm sdk?
I have that, but it's not an emulator as such, it just catches things (if you see what I mean)

Click to collapse
It is an emulator. It emulates hardware and therefor enables Windows Mobile to run on hardware that wouldn't be able to run it without emulation.
I use it. You will need microsoft visual studio 2005 or better to start with.
What about the free one from Microsoft? In addition to that you need some emulator images:
Cook one (see my signature)
Download them form Microsoft, too.

PC Software to manage apps on my Leo

Hi, i tried to search for this but so far didnt find anything usefull. Im looking for something like iTunes (dont worry im not a apple fan ). It would be just nice to be able to manage all the software a little bit easyer. Meaby if the software could also install the apps... that would be A+ . Does anybody know if theres smth like this for the Leo?
Thanks
the software you're looking for is called Windows Mobile Device Center (For Vista & 7) or Activesync (For XP). Don't expect a marketplace functionality from them though.

program/application icons in windows mobile 6.5

hi guys (and girlz)
i have a question about some program/application icons on my htc snap with windows mobile 6.5, it comes with some pre-installed stuff and i want to delete the icons (not uninstall, just delete) and re-arrange them (so they won't apprear in my menu screen).
i came accross the problem, that when i use the explorer (in wm 6.5), the option, copy/paste/delete is not available, when i connect the device to my laptop using the windows explorer, i thought i would be able to go in to the windows folder of the device (like in wm5.0 and wm6.1).
however, that, it seems, is not the case, coz the folder does not appear in the windows explorer, does any one of you got some ideas i can try or do?
oh, and before i forget, does anyone of you also got a wm6.1 rom for the htc snap laying arround (non wiki links, since that is not working at the moment).
chill, hope to hear from you, thanx in advance.
kind regards,
alex (htc snap s521)
