Paid Application available in INDIA

Guys,
I came across a news from androidcentral.com; sorry dont know how to post a link, that google is currently testing paid apps in india and few of the users are able to see them.
Is it true, anyone from india can shed some light on this. The only thing that i didnt like about my nexus one is that im unable to get the nice apps. Now, this will make life better in india.
Thank you
Hi,
I dont know about androidcentral.com. But if you want to use paid apps from the market, try "Market Enabler". And yeah, you need to be rooted for it to work.
~Sankar
Market enabler has been around since the beginning of paid applications. A few seconds worth of google search would have revealed it. Paid applications are available EVERYWHERE.
Market Enabler has not been updated in a while... Try Market Access instead... it's a rewrite of Market Enabler and works great with Froyo... http://amip.tools-for.net/wiki/android/marketaccess
Yeah i do have market access, but the problem is when the google checkout screen comes after buy, my indian card is greyed out and there is an option to select another card but unfortunately there is no way to select India as the country.
So in my case, having only an indian credit card is impossible to buy apps.
Any workaroung guys other than getting myself a US applicable credit card
i bought 2 apps off the market using malaysian credit card with no problem.

i use market access to see the paid apps but you need to have a valid credit card associated with the country listed under google to buy them. Thats why my card is invalid

Yeah... But I was talking about google's announcement of market availability in 20 other countries including india.. They have announced it yesterday.. But I still can't see apps in market.
I received this email from the Android market. According to this it's over the next two weeks, so I would not worry quite yet.
"Hello,
We're writing to inform you about some changes to Android Market that require your attention.
Effective today, developers from 20 additional countries (Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Israel, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland and Taiwan) can now sell paid apps on Android Market. Over the next 2 weeks, users from 18 new countries (Argentina, Brazil, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Israel, Mexico, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Sweden, and Taiwan) will be able to purchase paid apps from Android Market.

There is a workaround for this problem
1. Go to checkout.google.com on your PC & enter your primary Gmail account details.Make sure this account is also your primary account on your Android phone.
2. You can now register your credit card and also enter an Indian shipping address.
3. Now go to the list of providers in MarketAccess and select any provider.I chose the very 1st option T-Mobile US.
4. Once the SIM has been emulated, go to market. You should now be able to see paid apps.
5. Select any paid app which you want to buy and you will automatically be directed to the Google checkout option where your card will be listed.Select the card and proceed to buy the application.
6. Almost instantly you will receive an email from Google confirming your order details and the application will start downloading from market.
I have purchased about 8 apps from the market using this method right here from India. I am really happy that I am able to support the wonderful Android community by buying the apps. Hope you enjoy your paid apps

[Q] htcsense.com & Buying HTC DHD from abroad?

Hello everyone,
I was having this question and HTC support answers to this in a very cryptic manner so I don't get a real picture. I assume that people here, especially those who live outside UK could help.
You see, when you login to https://www.htcsense.com/ for the first time, you are required to select your country. As you see, for Europe, only the following countries are listed:
•Danmark
•Deutschland
•España
•France
•Italia
•Magyarország
•Nederland
•Polska
•Sverige
•United Kingdom
•Česká republika
•Россия и СНГ
Now, I live in Cyprus and as you see, not even Greece is listed.
I don't really know what all the services there are about but from past experienses, like the Apple store, I understand that many online features could be related to the country, so if my country is not listed there, that feature will be unavailable.
HTC support, informed me that I should buy from local store instead of abroad and now my question is the following:
If I buy locally, it will be about 600 Euros but if I buy from UK shop or eBay, it will be about 100 less. So, if I do buy from UK, will I lose any online functionality from htcsense? in other words, is the phone IMEI or SN locked to a country and can only register there?

Need info for buying from UK / CarPhoneWareHouse

Hi,
We can pre-order now from CarPhoneWareHouse:
http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/mobiles/mobile-phones/NEXUS-S-FROM-GOOGLE?intcmp=hp-hp-bnr-v1-1163
If you live in UK and familiar with CarPhoneWareHouse, please if you can answer my questions because I might be able to get one from there
(1) What is that "Pay as You Go"? Is it mobile operator related? Because if I click that option, it asks me to choose mobile operator package. But the price is for without contract.
If I get this, can I use it with my current mobile operator in The Netherlands?
(2) What are the options to send package from UK to The Netherlands? and How much cost (estimation)?
I need this to calculate how much money should I transfer to my contact in UK including shipping
(3) Do you think we can walk in to CarPhoneWareHouse store to buy directly instead of pre-order? Or is this pre-order only?
Thanks a lot! I cannot wait to get Nexus S!
Regards,
Gogol
Pay as you go, is when you have a SIM card, which isn't on a contract, attached to a mobile operator - and you "top up" the sim card with money before you use it. You are better off just buying the "SIM FREE" option here http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/mobiles/choose-tariff/NEXUS-S-FROM-GOOGLE/HANDSET/.
As for shipping, it depends who you use, just check out some of the mail company in the UK to get an estimate. I don't know about Netherlands, but there could be taxes which have to be paid in addition to the shipping costs.
You can only pre-order until they have stock instore, which will be after 20th December.

[Q] Note 3 North Am, version

Hi guys,
I'm actually in Tenerife Island, Canaria. This is a '' duty free'' area. A store ask 200 Euros for the Note 3 'North American version', new (8 gigs). It is 260$ US or 280 $ Ca.
I plan purchase one used when I'll return to Canada, middle October, but the best cost at home is 350 $ Ca, used .
The offer is tempting but how to be sure the phone is not a fake and if it really works in Canada ?
I plan go to the store, ask the seller to check myself in 'properties' and verify the processor (2.30GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800) but what are the other ways to check it rapidly?
Probably he don't want I check with Antutu benchmark because the phone is 'new in the box' ...
4 month ago,I buyed a Zopo 998 from China . Great phone (except for the GPS) but I can use it in Canada (IMEI incompatibility), I want be sure the new one will work and with the true Samsung.
Thank's

As far as I know there is no Note 3 8GB for North America, all NA versions are 32GB and the only smaller version that I know of is the 16GB HK version.

- If you can't install any app, you can refer to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2574886
- If you can install app, it's so easy. Install Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app, open the Menu --> 'Refurbishment Check'.
It will tell you if your phone is original or not.
Hi guys
Thank's a lot xclub_101 and vndnguyen .
Just coming back little but hot treck in the mountains (+29-30 C) , I read your answer on the computer...
I go out Canary island early Tuesday (07:00 am) but I'll try to return to the store and check it.
@T Xclub_101, I wrote 8 gb for the Note, because we where looking at a Samsung Note 3 in the store and most of the tourist are from Germany England or France. I speak a bad english but he clerk presume I was North American...
Anyway,if I don't purchase one Note 3 here, I'll buy one used when I return home in Quebec province, middle of October and the tricks you give here will be very precious to me...
:good:
Thank's
+1 note 3 doesn't have an 8 gig variant. Unless he lets you open it and check it I would run away like my hair is on fire. With the price difference your probably looking at a knock off
