For those of you who also read PPC Geeks, this is the same problem. I am just trying to cover more area and hopefully stumble across somebody that has a solution to my problem.
The current situation is that the phone will not boot at all. I can hard reset it, I can enter into the bootloader (which is no2Chem 2.47) and I can flash ROMs to it. However, when I try to boot the phone, the black HTC logo flashes for about half a second and then I get a black screen.
I have tried flashing the Sprint ROM available on HTC's website (RUU_TITAN_SPRINT_WWE_3.56.651.0_RS_TITAN_3.42.02_ SPCS2.04_PPST_0718_Ship.exe) and this one: RUU_TITAN_SPRINT_WWE_3.35.651.2_RS_TITAN_3.35.04_4350H_SPCS_AM_Ship.exe.
I've hard resetted, soft resetted, taken the battery etc. Anybody have any idea what I should do or why this is happening? Thanks for the help!
So when you came to this forum, did you see "Development and Hacking" and "Questions and answers" and decide the former? Ask there next time, because nobody will want to help you when you can't even take the time to ask in the right forum.
Whoops. Sorry I have multiple bookmarks and clicked on the General Development and Hacking instead of the Titan specific. Way to be mean about it though. :-D

I currently have WM 6 on my Cingular 8525, as well as othewr programs. But for some reason, when the phone boots up it freezes when Photo Contacts starts and i can't do anything. I can't even bot the hone to remove photo contacts. How can I wipe the phone, and reinstall from scratch? Or is there anyway to anything else? Please, if anyone can help, please do. Thanks!

you could try a hard reset to return to freshly flashed state. You will lose all current information on the phone and have to re-install all your stuff but should fix your issue. If that doesn't work then just boot into bootloader and flash your desired rom from there. The Wiki will tell you how to do these things if you don't already know. The link is in the brown bar at the top of the page. XDA-Wiki.
CrazyHips: follow Zzan's directions and you should be all set.
Please note that as a general rule, it is bad forum manners to post with Help Please!!. Luckily Zzan helped you out. You will usually have better luck posting something descriptive in your post subject. Welcome aboard.
When I turn on my Cingular 8525 it will load windows screen and then goes straight to Simlock screen and says "you have tried 5 times please wait until timeout". I have been reading this forum for 2 days trying to learn as much as I can, but I still don't know for sure what my first move should be.
I tried a hard reset and my phone just restarts. I never see the information about the type of bootloader the phone has. I downloaded the Hard-SPL-V7, but I'm not really sure that is what I am suppose to run first. Would someone please help me?
Thanks,
dona

Hey,
I recently became the owner of a bricked Iconia a500 tablet. Beyond that, I don't know much about it and I cannot contact the previous owner...
The situation:
It will boot the the Acer logo, but it doesn't go beyond that.
I've searched this forum (and others) for ways to bring it back to life. A factory reset doesn't seem to do anything at all.
I can boot into recovery mode to load a rom, but cannot find the proper rom. CWM does not seem to be installed. I've looked for stock roms but none seem to work.
When I try and load a rom I will inevitably get a white triangle with an orange exclamation mark inside of it. Next to this is the android man.
I've found a few threads that purpose links to a stock rom, but a lot of them have file shares linked to Megaupload... which is.. well non-existent now.
Again, I can not tell you the anything about the current software.... if you know how I can find out that alone would be a huge help! = )
Many thanks,
Robert
This might be your best luck..
This flashed thru your computer adb.. apx mode..

Hey Erica,
Thanks for you very speedy response!
Well, I read a lot of that thread... lol probably more than I should admit. I followed the procedure but was unable to get a good connection via USB.
I was finally able to get it to register a Factory Reset thanks to that post. Had tried it a few times before... must have not been pressing hard enough?
Either way, it is stuck on Erasing Userdata... and Erasing Cache...
I saw that it was suggested it could be a hardware issue... What is your opinion?
Thanks,
Robert
I still think its a rom issue..
You might could try to download the rom again. and try again.. there is also another thread in the DEV section that does the same thing but differently you could try that or maybe posting there where a TRUE Developer might be able to help you..
I just repeat what i have learned from my own mistakes and read from others..
Sorry im not more help ..
Trust me Erica, you have been a great help! If I find a solution, I will update this thread with it = )
Thanks!
Robert
I have searched around and can't seem to find a similar problem with a solution that I can understand. I used superoneclick to root my Verizon Galaxy 7" tablet. Everything seemed to go fine, but I really didn't have time to do anything "techy" with it. After a couple of weeks the tablet was acting kind of glitchy, nothing terrible, so I should have just left it alone. Instead I tried to do a complete factory reset. I tried several times, but it would never completely reset. My personalized wallpaper would show up, then all my apps were still there, settings didn't appear to change, etc.
I tried using Hemdall and loading new cache, param, system & zImage files. Now I am stuck in a boot loop. The machine will power up to the setup wizard, but every step generates multiple FCs until the setup wizard itself FC. Then it powers down and starts all over again. "Wipe data/factory reset" produces no change to the problem.
At this point I just want to restore my tablet to stock. No root, nothing fancy.
Can someone recommend a clear, easy to follow, current tutorial for me. I have downloaded Odin, but am uncertain which ROM I need to use. I really don't care which method you recommend as long as it is detailed (ie. written for a complete idiot to follow).
Thanks for any help.
2 things. Are you talking about a regular 7" galaxy or the 7.7? And this will most likely be moved because its a question and questions go in the general section.

7 or 7.7
Regarding the 7 or 7.7 question: I don't know which it is because I can't get it to boot up long enough to go into settings. According to the label it is an SCH-i800. It was purchased from Verizon in March 2011. I am pretty sure that it is a 7. Is there any way to tell just by looking at it?
Just determined it is a 7.0 per the Samsung webpage.
I guess I am in the wrong forum again. I am going to post in the General Galaxy Tablet forum.
Googled your model # you listed and stock rom and found this tutorial. Hope this helps you.
Thanks. I have tried that one a couple of times. It is close, but no cigar. I appreciate you thinking of me.
Some boot loop problems can be solved by letting the battery go flat overnight to get out of the loop, recharging then booting normally and doing a factory reset. If that doesn't work then re-flashing using Odin followed by a factory reset is worth trying.
You can get the firmware for flashing here:
http://www.samfirmware.com/
and a guide how to do the flashing here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1469635
I hope this helps and good luck

Verizon only sells the silver version of the 7.7, for which the model number is SCH-I815. If you have a plastic back, it's the 7, and an aluminum back is the 7.7. Of course, since posted your model I can tell you for sure it's the 7, so you might have better luck posting in the appropriate forum.
Depending on how SuperOneClick works for the tab (I have no idea personally), you might just be best taking it to Verizon and asking for a replacement. I find it unlikely that they'd be able to detect that it has been rooted if it's totally fubar'd.
Very long story short, I got a new phone, tried to install a custom ROM onto it, screwed up during the process, then found out that this phone won't work on my cell network as it is an international phone, not a US phone. I've spent the better part of my week trying to fix this phone so I can get it refunded and buy a phone that works on US networks.
With all the effort I've put into this, I've managed to get it where it'll reach a loading screen, but it gets stuck on it. Anything and everything that I have tried so far has yet to work for me.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Edit: Somehow didn't think to specify model. Moto G7 XT1962-6.
I have tried a factory reset multiple times, not working for me.
I have tried flashing both a custom ROM and the stock ROM, very limited success. At one point I got the custom ROM working, but I need the stock ROM on it so that I'd better qualify for getting the phone refunded.
At the moment, it is stuck on a boot loop where it loads up to a custom loading screen, not the stock loading screen, and it stays there without any progress. Before, it would just loop the "this device is unlocked" screen.
If you specify what phone it is, you might get more users who can help
@CaptainNurbles
Already tried a Factory Reset ?

The weird thing is, I've been to this site and I've downloaded this before, didn't work before. For some reason though it worked this time! Many thanks, pal!
