I'm having a bizarre issue with the backlight on my keyboard. It's set to use the sensor but the backlight never goes out.
Does anyone else have this issue?
hmmm, i dont remember, but i do know mine will stay on if plugged into a charger... but i think it follows the same backlight rules as the phone..

Since charging is never an issue for me I have mine on all the time but then I have the backlight timeout unchecked for battery and external power. Can we assume you have yours ticked and a time limit set?
Mike
Quick update: After updating my ROM to 1.35 the issue has went away. The backlight on the keyboard now only turns on after I press a key and when I'm in a dark environment.
Backlight issue again
Backlight for keyboard want light up if opened for HTC tytn ,Does this happen from upgrades or it is a common problem from hardware.
Is it possible to disable the keyboard backlight?
I find the keyboard impossible to read when it is lit.
im on the opposite side of it. im curious if is possible to change keyboard backlight timeout to longer time

What exactly do you mean?
Honestly, I disable the auto backlight and leave it at 25%. Plenty of brightness in nearly all situations, and decent battery life. Use the slider in the settings to get it just the way you want. The "Brightness Widget" from the market will also work once you disable the automatic controls.
I mean the auto backlight sensitivity when in low light situations dimming to much.
If there was only a way to set a minimum brightness, using auto backlight it would be great.
I don't even notice the auto-dim anymore.
I dropped my G2 the other day and now the backlight doesn't work. I'm thinking about buying a replacement screen but I want to make sure that there isn't any other part of the phone that would cause the backlight not to work. I've tried playing around with the brightness settings and while the screens brightness doesn't change at all, the touch panels light does adjust when I change the settings. Any help would be appreciated.
Ok guys so i have this problem that started occuring only a couple days ago. Before that ive had no problems with my phone, but now when i turn the screen off/on it flickers green-yellow-ish. This has so far only happened when turning the screen on/off. It doesnt happen all the time though, it comes and goes. Any ideas? Has this happened to any of you? Thanks in advance
Hello, I would be happy to help you but have the same issue.
You can try anyway to disable all automatic screen luminosity settings and try to change luminosity.
It's not a fix, only a workaround.
Running a screen filter at lowest settings could help. Or using lux app to change the automatic brightness to pass beyond troubled screen brightness may help. Only ideas if factory reset doesn't help. It's a hardware issue otherwise.
