I know, I breaks the scheme somehow...
but most of the time it is covered by the signal bars
I need to find a silver globe, would fit better

nice! much better than your Q series imho, keep the icon simple, too much details, you will lose it on a 3.2" screen.
I look forward for your completion of the X series!

WOW, it is so cool! I like it!

Thanks! I'm like this!

Nice but the 3g and battery icon don't change and appear as the normal default look

Yes they do appear: look at my screen capture
If they don't appear for you, is because you have your registry settings changed to phcanOverbmp.DLL; maybe a previous taskbar was not properly uninstalled and the tweaked reg settings were kept
This taskbar is 100% based on Xperia X1 (Kovsky) system files
The Xperia X1 handles the battery and signal icons thru shellres.192.DLL, NOT phcanOverbmp.DLL, which is nearly empty on the Xperia: contains the phone canvas (skin) only
Other HTC phones use phcanOverbmp.dll for battery and signal, thus, most taskbars CAB installers include registry changes to re-direct battery and signal to phcanOverbmp.DLL
I can solve this by adding the original (standard) Xperia X1 phcanOverbmp.dll to the package, but even that wouldn't override your altered system settings

wow they looks very cool... you steal my idea
this is another waiting cursor, just in case

WHOAAA looking good
I'll test how it blends with the "X" icons (Start menu SE logo is currently blue)

It's much nicer than the previous ones, but I still don't like that globe. Just keep it simple to allow us to see the bars and type of connection, the globe is useless and doesn't belong here. Even greyed out, I don't think it will look good.
Also, maybe it would look better to use the same gray color for the battery until it is less than 40% (a little yellow exclamation mark can apper over the battery then) and below 20% (a red exclamation mark over the battery, or whatever sign you see fit). That way it will be less distracting.
Just my thoughts, I like the icons to be as simple as possible and not very colorful unless they really need to make you aware of something. You could make the notification icons red (missed call, task etc.).
Hope you get some good ideas.

Oh I do very much like these ones! I'll probably be using them on a regular basis once they're finalised.
Don't lose the bluetooth ""headphones" audio icon. People go "WOW!" when they see that one.

very nice, but it seems incomplete, liek some icons are missing for me, as stated with a previous tester. but its still nice nothenless. let me know when it coems out of beta, =]

I like most of the icons and it's nice to have some xperia-looking icons.
Although my opinion is that the one with the earth globe has to go it does not fit and looks well not good
also some of the icons seem to have something weird with the outline in the corners. The corners of the rounded square.
I can make a metal globe for you to fit the theme Or atleast try

my globe!
So I tried making a globe, took a few minutes and was quite fun..
If ppl like it I can continue adding what I have left out, reception indicator and data indicator.

Ok

The white background one is ok, but I don't see how it's different to the other white background bouncing one?
Personally I prefer the one made bysomeone else here that I included in my start/waiting SE mod that I attached in gtrabs other icon thread.
The black embossed style background that tightly hugs the waiting cursor certainly looks more like it belongs.
Along with a regedit of my "folder background" to a dark gray, everything looks much slicker.

gtrab,
i liked your 1.5 icon cab set. in this version, when data connection is not on, the antenae and the bars is showing and when the data connection is on, a red h pops up with the bars. can you modify or make changes that instead of a red h with the bars showing up, the globe pops with the bars up in place of the red h.
keep up the good work.

Clock in system tray?

Is there an app to add clock in system tray next to battery and comm manager?
Thanks
Modify registry entry under \HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell -> Specifically an Binary value in TBOpt of 13 00 00 00 produces a clock and date in the taskbar .
I cant remember the different values to produce clock / date / clock and date, but they are on the forums someplace - do a search for "clock taskbar".
jamichy: if you really do mean the tray at the bottom, not the top, then I don't remember seeing one.
But can you really discern that space? It's only 16x16 pixels. That's not much to show a clock in. The one in the startbar (at the top) isn't very big already, and that's > 16x16.
At VGA resolutions on the Universal, it's near impossible to see anything in the tray.
V
Vijay: thanks for your great apps; what app do you use to put the analogue clock on your 'today' screen, that seems a more useful option than the tiny little taskbar clocks (I've seen the pic of your 'today' screen in one of the threads)
Kim
Kim:
If you mean this one-

It's an unreleased today plugin I wrote called VJEphemeris. It's on hold because it will grow with VJSihaya, when I get time to look back on it.
There's a couple of other plugins that will give you an analog clock on the today screen. I don't like analog clocks though. My mind is more digital then analog in that sense. But I wrote the analog clock just for the fun of it, and I like my icon band wrapping around it.
You can toggle the analog clock in the top right by pressing and holding on the clock until it shows you a menu.
V
vijay,
What do you use to get all the icons on the topbar?
Thanks for your great apps by the way!
Phone alarm with my custom skin and VJToggleToday.
Skins etc are available here:

But please don't ask for WM5 version of VJToggleToday yet. I'm working on it between other stuff
V
VIJAY:
Im using the new aku2 imate rom, and it adds a taskbar battery to my wizard, and takes off the clock, and i need to have it back there...
any ideas?
Or any small plugin that will display only the clock in 1 line on the today screen?
jamichy: check out your extended rom. There's normally some rubbish in there to remove the battery icon and clock etc.
Have a look at this page for cabs for the universal. They should work on the Wizard as well, although you can probably find the same cabs for Wiz specific.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=41968&highlight=tweaks
It completely removes the time from the top right? Hmm, I'll have to grab my Universal, not with me at the mo.... Will try to get back to you later.
I've seen screenshots of an aku2 rom that I thought had the clock in a today plugin by default. Have you checked your today plugins?
V
In the new rom the clock is on the same line as the date, and the top bar now has a battery meter instead of the clock...
I want to have just the clock and not date....
I think this one was an MS move not an imate one as even the Qtek test rom has a battery icon up top, and the date plugin now has the time and date. though this seems logical [why display the time in two places?--in today] it is hardly pratical.
clock out of the taskbar is stupid.. it's the only way you get to see the time if you're not on the Today Screen %)
If you go to Time & Date settings, is there still an option to show the time regardless of the active app? If so, that might just need checking. If not.. curses - that'd be a sucky 'upgrade' %)

The option is there. But with the Qtek aku 2 rom (2.8.7.1) it did not always show the clock.
Maybe thats fixed in the 2.16 from imate
I like the battery in the top-menu bar, but clock should be there as well (in apps).
con of the clock in the date-today plugin is that that plugin now takes 2 lines of your screen. and i dont like that either.
I'm not too fond of the battery on taskbar concept... it takes up icon space :> I run Batti instead. 1 pixel (technically 2 due to the border) high bar that goes all the way across the top, shows the level, changes color at user-defined percentages, etc. Far less intrusive while also far more useful. In my humble opinion, of course.
Not having a clock in the taskbar would mean... err, I guess looking at your watch, but if you're not wearing one, it would mean going back to the Today screen to get the time, and then going back to your app to fill it in (if that's what you were going to do, that is.)
As for date and time on 2 lines... yeah, pretty silly - they can easily be on 1 line. I still have a $75 bounty + $25 from somebody else for somebody to develop a proper date+time today screen plugin... here's hoping somebody will pick up on it eventually %)
Back on-topic... I do hope somebody can confirm that...
1.a the time can still be placed there
1.b the time will still be visible in all apps
1.c the time can also still show the date (TBopt = 3)
2.a. the battery icon can be removed
2.b. and if at all possible, be re-located to the bottom tray - just in case (I don't use it, but whatever)
edsub: I'm using the new 2.1.6 imate rom... and its like the qtek test rom... I'm serously thinking of moving back to the old rom version,
although i have to say.... Wifi performance seems to be better with the new one... picking up signal very quickly
zeboxx:
1. Don’t know if time can be placed there
2. enabling clock to be visible in all apps from clock settings still makes it visible
3. TBOpt 3 does display date and time in apps in the task bar, but not whrn you are on today, the battery seems to be superimposed on the date…
4. can the batt icon be removed??? Please help
5. you can get the batt in system tray by copying “powertray.exe” from \windows to \windows\startup
I think you answered "1" when you answered "2" and "3"
So it's *only* on the Today screen that the battery icon appears ?
Or is it that when you're on the Today screen, the Time gets 'removed' ?
As for removing the battery icon - there's a tweak that applies to some other devices/roms:
Hide/Show battery indicator in Task bar
If you wish to hide the battery indicator in the task bar on some devices, you can set:
Code:
HKLM\Services\Power\ShowIcon = 0 (DWORD decimal)
And to show:
Code:
HKLM\Services\Power\ShowIcon = 1 (DWORD decimal)
Note that this icon and its feature may not be available on your device at all. For example, the HTC Wizard::Qtek 9100 regularly ships with a battery indicator in the Tray instead, governed by "Windows\Startup\Init_Tray.exe".
Click to collapse
Perhaps that'd be worth a try?
So it's *only* on the Today screen that the battery icon appears ?
Or is it that when you're on the Today screen, the Time gets 'removed' ?
Yes to both....
and the power reg key does not exist... tried creating and setting, no luck
the beta rom from imate has swapped it... stupid
the clock shows in all applications other than the today scree!!!!!
so to see it on the today screen, you need to have a two line plug in to get the time
there really are some morons out there doing the development, where on earth did MS get their ideas from, thats what i call a brain fart if i ever saw one
spb was good for a battery idea, or anywhere really but were the clock is
That's pretty darn lame. It wouldn't be *too* bad if the date/time thing was on one line. I still have plenty of space left on my Today screen, so 2 lines wouldn't hurt me that badly, but why take up 2 lines when it all fits easily on 1? *sigh*
I'm curious.. what happens if you disable the date/time Today item?
Does going to the Today screen still remove the Time in the Taskbar?
Might just be a function ot the Today screen item, by ways of reasoning that if you have the time on the Today screen, you won't need it in the Taskbar. Even though that's where every user would still expect it to be.. you know, ergonomic design and all that.

Alright, I've had a couple of weeks to work out the bugs and to implement most of the suggestions you guys gave me.
So, here is the new and improved MusicFlo
Get Icon from most programs
Suppports png transparency for Program Icons
Fully customizable graphics (all pics found in \Program Files\MusicFlo)
Size and position of Program and Contact buttons now on config.xml
Try it out and let me know what you think!
The CAB will overwrite the original MusicFlo, so no uninstall necessary.
You still need the two HTC apps in your Windows folder if you don't have them already.
Not on video: Open S2P by clicking the album art on the Control Panel.
Original Post:
Making Cube Skins is fun for a while, but then you realize that you are just prettying up someone elses program, and who knows what changes that program will go through in just a few months. So I decided to give programming my own "Cube" a shot.
I listened to what people were asking for with the Cubes. Here's what most of you said you wanted:
- more icons
- a changable background
- more than one contact page
- web favorites
- general information on one side
So I set out with that in mind, MusicFlo has four individual screens.
One for General info which includes:
- a TouchFlo 2 style clock
- notifications for new email, text messages, missed calls, and voicemail
One for programs with TouchFlo style interface (up to 9 pages of 9 buttons each)
One for contacts with TouchFlo Style interface (up to 9 pages of 6 contacts each)
One for Favorites with the ability to take a screenshot of the web page for "Visual Favorites" (up to 9 pages of 4 Favs each)
The configuration is built into each screen. Simply tap and hold to make the buttons start to shake, then tap the button you would like to configure, or tap the background to change the background image and change how many program, contact, or favorite buttons you would like.
This is my first programming work, so please let me know what you think. I am pleased with what I have accomplished. I know it's not much compared to other programs out there, but if you're looking for a simple, fast, non-memory-hogging FREE Application/Contact/Favorite launcher, I think you'll like MusicFlo.
I want to thank up2no6ood for creating the icon style for MusicFlo. Without him the icons would be boring.
Technical stuff:
MusicFlo can be edited directly from the Program, or by editing data.xml in the \Program Files\MusicFlo folder. The very first entry is called "Browser". Change it if you use something other than Pie for your web browsing.
Only add buttons through the program itself. Adding entries in the xml file won't do anything, and it could mess you up later on, so only add buttons (Progs, Contacts, Favs) through the program interface. I'll try and get a YouTube video up later for a walk-through.
ENJOY! I know I am!
P.S. - For quick access I use AEButton Plus to change the long press of my dpad button to MusicFlo.
P.P.S.- Added Icon Pack (MusicFlopng.zip)
P.P.P.S. - To make MusicFlo open with a swipe up (ROMs with Cubes only) move MusicFlo.exe to Windows folder and rename to Biotouch.exe
Update 5/27/08 - fixed functionality for programs on Storage Cards
can i tell u something bro it look sux try some better graphix bro but its features are good this is my review
This app looks good, highly configurable, and needed if you ask me. I will definitely give this a test run when I get home later. Is landscape supported as well?

Not yet. I'll work on it, though. Thank you both for your thoughts. I worked so much on the actual program that the graphics were more of an afterthought. I'll work on those as well.
If you want a hand with the graphics
Very Promising for a first App.
And as you see it's interesting enought to get people offering help.
Looks very nice, I'll definitely be following the development here. I don't have the time to try it right now, but maybe you can give us a quick video on it to show us how smooth it is.
Just dling, looks promising, what I would love and I am not sure if this is possible would be if it could be a today plugin, then I could include it in UL or even on its own. Will post my review after trying. WOOO HOOOO more toys to play with.
Simple and effective!
This application has much potential! I love this ap. Everything you need in one program
seems good but graphices need some development,I will try
not bad functions but looks kinda complicated..
Best part about the graphics is that you can customize it in any way you want. All of the graphic files end up in \My Documents\MusicFlo, so if you don't like it, you can change it! But yeah, if anyone wants to help me out in the graphics dept. I would be grateful.
Also, I just updated the CAB in the first post. People were not able to launch program from their Storage Cards. Fixed. If you've already installed, just download this zip and replace your exe with the new one. That way all of your button changes stay.

I like this applications alot, but I wish instead of the favorites would be a weather, I can totally change all the graphics for u to a real Diamond look but you need to change thesize of the bottom bar and selected icons in ur source code. also I couldnt find the files for missedcall, call history and such, I would like to change those as well. pm me if you wanna work something together.
with poorlyduck's graphics skills , the looks will be unrivaled
Interesting application.
Once the visual style gets pimped up, it'll be a very good htc home replacement.
Sascha
Musicman,
Congratulations. Great start for your first app.
You have offers of help from PoorlyDuck and Oseven on the graphics front so this is bound to be a winner!!
Bookmarked this thread to keep an eye on developments.
Well done and keep going.
WB
does it support vga?
looks good, and is easy customizable not like pointui or mobile shell. But definitly need more functions like weather and maybe some animations if this is possible ?
And what i miss at most is a fullscreen version !!!!
Why is it called MusicFlo if it has nothing to do with music?
a good questionn
where is the music tab !!!!

WisBar Advance Desktop 2: Release 3 [12/19/08]
This is ridiculous!! The theme works great, but I can't seem to get it to ya'll right! WTF! Anyways, go back to the 2nd release, if you never downloaded the third, disregard this. Instructions changed.
For now, the theme will remain as is. Once the update to WAD2 is complete and working, I will rebuild the theme with two extra features, and to make sure there is no error in the theme with the newer version. So, in the meantime, everything works, but if you have any request for the final release, let me know! Enjoy!
Release 3 added:
Those without Audio Manager installed were unable to launch the theme, shortcut was deleted
Added text to application tabs
Added Video Recorder Page
Removed Voice Recorder shortcut, not all may have, similar to Audio Manager
I. How do I apply the theme?
1. Download the attachment "WisBar.zip"
2. Extract to the root, "\", of your device
For those that already have this folder from the last release, I suggest creating a new, blank WAD2 theme, set it as your default, quit WAD, then delete the ENTIRE WisBar folder from your device. Don't worry, all the same files plus more are included.
3. In the "WisBar" folder you'll have two folders, "Project Storm R2", and "Project Storm WAD2"
Move the "Project Storm R2" folder to "\Program Files\Lakeridge\WisBar Advance Desktop\Themes". Leave the other folder in the "WisBar" folder. These files MUST be in these locations to work! Don't worry about memory, sizes are small and it is best to have these on the device.
The reason for the "WisBar" folder is simple, I use this as my general folder for all WisBar items, graphics and others. This includes the WA3 theme.
4. Open WAD2
Choose Settings, then "Change Theme". If you do not see "Project Storm R2" in the list, choose the option to "Scan for Themes", and it should then appear. Select the theme, and apply!
II. On with the Show!
I've tried to use all available possibilities with WAD2, simply to have a better theme, and to use it for what it's worth. For those that used the first release, forget it even existed! This one is MUCH MUCH better. If you are new to WAD2, you will be in for a surprise! There is a lot to it, but once you understand it better, the easier all of this will make sense.
WAD2 is simply a "Virtual Desktop", it allows you to place almost any item you would like anywhere on the screen, with any number of screens. This is why this application is the best for this theme. If you have questions, feel free to ask here, we are all here to help.
For starters, at anytime you can swipe down to return home. Also, all shortcuts use default WM applications, this basically means opening contacts will launch iContact, if that's what you have installed.
III. Home Page
This your first page. Everything you need is here. At the top is the "Status Dock", and the bottom are your "General Shortcuts"
The Status Dock includes:
Live Battery Meter
Live Volume Status [Opens Volume Profile Manager]
Your Carrier Name
Live Phone Signal Strength
Bluetooth Status [Toggles BT power]
Data Connection Status
Wi-Fi status [Tapping toggles Wi-Fi power]
Clock [Opens Clock Page]
Long Date
The space below the date is used for the following notifications, only displayed when needed:
Missed Calls [Missed Call List]
Voicemails [Calls VM, you will need to change! Edit the script to call your own VM]
Emails [Opens Email Inbox, ActiveSync by default]
SMS [Opens SMS Inbox]
MMS [Opens SMS Inbox]
The General Shortcuts:
Messaging [Messaging Center]
SMS [SMS Inbox]
Contacts [Toggles Speed Dial Dock, shortcut to Contacts included]
Calendar [Opens Agenda Page]
Browser [Toggles Web Favorites Dock, PIE preset]
Media [Opens Media Page]
Weather Icon [Opens Weather Page, displays Home info]
Maps [Change to what you like]
IV. Applications Page
Like before, tapping the middle, blank part of the screen will open the applications page. This is fixed, so you don't need to look for it! At first, you're brought to the main applications page.
The bottom four are preset to:
Applications [Opens Page 1/3]
IM Apps [1 Page Only]
Games [Opens Page 1/2]
Tools [1 Page Only, Control Panel preset included]
The top two rows can be customized to launch your eight favorite applications.
To change between pages, swipe left/right, but this does not apply to the Main Applicaiotns Page.
ALL grids are set to "Object Grids". This means you can add more than shortcuts!
V. Media Page
This is really just a quick build. Once WAD2 is updated, the tab bar feature will be added here. Those who are unaware of this feature, it is similar to the tab bar of M2D.
Four buttons, these only change page, the large icons are the shortcuts:
Music [Audio Manager]
Photos [Photos & Videos]
Videos [WMP]
Voice [HTC Voice Recorder]
I used to have a second row for more, but I didn't like the way it looked, plus I'm sure majority of us use one general application for each media category. To change, just edit the button to launch the app of your choice.
VI. Weather Page
Fairly simple, forecast for days 1-4 on left, 5-8 on right. All general data is displayed in the middle. All icons and data are for Multiple Cities! This means the data for everything will update when you change the active city. The right arrow chooses the next city, left chooses prev, and maps brings you to a new blank screen. On the blank images page, just add a weather image of your choice.
Tapping the large weather icon will update the info.
VII. Agenda
Full screen agenda page, tapping anywhere on the agenda opens the calendar. Top left notifier displays remaining appt + all day, opens calendar, top right shows due today tasks + overdue, open tasks.
If you use PB or Diary, simply delete the agenda and add the plugin.
VIII. Clock Page
Simple clock page, arrows switch between digital and analog. If you have HTC Home installed, I suggest changing the digital clock to a HTC home style clock, just be sure to choose the location of the images! Alarm clock opens the default alarm application. This page also acts as a screen saver. On sync, this page will open, when done the home page will open.
*CONTINUED IN POST 2*
*None of these images show the correct WA3 theme!*
VIIII. Additional Notes
Included in this theme was a folder named "Additional Files", it is located under "\WisBar\Project Storm WAD2". Here you will find several different customized links for you to use as you like.
The following are included:
New Note
New Contact
New Appointment
New Task
New Word Document
New Excel Spreadsheet
Open SMS Inbox
Open Specific Inbox
Control Panel Shortcut
Default email link is set to open ActiveSync, to change, change the properties with an application like Resco Explorer and change "ActiveSync" to the name of your Inbox. This is for the WM default mail application.
A great thing about these shortcuts is they are linked to the default WM applications. This means for example, if you use PI8, and choose, "New Contact", it will open PI8, not the default application.
Users of FlexMail 4, see here, lots of great info:
http://kb.webis.net/questions/57/FlexMail+Command+Line+Parameters
When landscape is complete, those with a 320x320 screen can duplicate the theme files and use the copy for the second direction.
WAD2 Release 4 [Final]
Not yet completed, just making of list of things that will be changed. Once WAD2 is updated, these will be posted.
Each App Page will have shortcut to Page 1 [tabs will be shortcut to Main Apps Page]
More Apps Pages [maybe 5 vs. 3]
Lock Page
Tab Bar
Battery Icon [new]
Volume Button [changed, hopefully fixed]
Three Seperate Releases
1. Shortcuts/Speed Dial can be added without entering Author Mode [This means items can't be customized]
2. Shortcuts/Speed Dial must be entered through Author Mode [Allowing more customization to items]
3. Home Page Shortcuts will toggle docks [This means instead of launching email on tap, you will see a dock with inbox specific info, along with the shortcuts to open inboxes and create new emails]
WisBar Advance 3: Release 1 [12/19/08]
NO THIS ISN'T POSTED YET!
The idea for this theme is to match the WAD2 theme, and of course the Storm. At first, this may feel a bit odd to use, but after a day or it works great, for me at least. I have REMOVED the Start and OK/Close buttons. Don't worry, the functions are still there, just looks different. Now, you will have to set the order and functions yourself, the theme unfortunately only includes the graphics. Also, you do not have to set your taskbar like this, but I recommend it, because it will match the WAD2 theme, and looks awesome. There is a lot you can add to the taskbar, but by adding too many things, I feel you lose a "finger-friendly" taskbar. I like to have it simple, and display important info.
I recommend the following taskbar order:
Left Aliged:
Battery [Tap: Casc Start Menu, Hold: WAD2]
Window Title
Right Aligned:
System Notification [Tap/Hold: Show Notifications]
Clock: [Choose whatever]
Network [Tap: Clock/OK, Hold: Menu or Switch Window]
Phone [Tap: Clock/OK, Hold: Menu or Switch Window]
You'll notice I say use the Network and Phone Signal with the same functions. This way, it feels like you just have to tap the right corner to close, instead of tapping a small "X". Again, this is just a personal opinion.
Font looks best at 10pt.
Bottom taskbar:
I have included two different themes, one with a glossed bottom bar, and one with a flat black. I really like the way it looks glossed, but some may like the flat black instead. There isn't a lot of focus on the taskbars, more on the rest, like the buttons.
wow wow wow wow

So far I think I'm good. I'm just surprised at how simple everything is, but looks so dang good. The only thing I'm trying to think about is the dialer, and how it can work for all devices. I've only made dialers with Tiermann's creator, which I think is for the Touch only.
Honestly, I've been staring at the first pic for almost 5 min now putting it all together in my mind! I may have to run to the store for some Starbuck's Double Shots !
Thanks for the support, I'll let you know when I'm stuck.
How big is each icon image for the menus? I could try whipping up a VGA skin if the icons are big enough.
go on!
I started this theme two days ago..
here a pic: I haven't resized anything allready so the buttons are bigger than normal for a 240x320 screen..

Once you get the buttons smaller, it should look very good
Are you going to have them link to new pages or directly to apps?
Alright, so I'm finally putting things together, I'd really like to finish this ASAP, since my new replacement device will be here next week, and I hate working with an incomplete theme.
The only thing I know I won't be able to do is a custom matching icon set, similar to the icons in the first pic of post 1. It won't include the background image, just the icons itself. So far, I've set the background to 60px wide, which should leave the icon around 45x45. If anyone would like to help with that, just PM me and I can send you what I've got.
Thanks!
Some screen shots posted.
Definitely blows away what I posted over at lakeridge forums. Terrific work.
JT, i'd like to help you in whatever way i can...
PM me with what you need.. i'll start working on it this weekend.
More screen shots up ! Check post 1 & 2.
Almost complete, just fixing a few things.
Argggggghhhh I need that WAD2 theme!! looks great!
This theme looks great. Good job!
I can't wait until this is done!!!! It looks amazing.

[TASKBAR] Customising Windows Mobile 6.5 Taskbar

NOW CREATE YOUR OWN TASKBARS EASILY
As this section is specific for Windows Mobile 6.5 Taskbar Customisation, I'll Start it with my set of icons. I tried to make full use of the ShellRess.dll and if more is needed then i'll make sure more icons are covered.
Just have a look at the screenshots and you will understand how much capable WM6.5 taskbars are with more scope of customisation including the OK and X buttons.
AHEN 6b-BETA2
Just click on the screenshot to download the cabs from my personal thread for Taskbar Customisation. You surely wont be disappointed.
There is alot more to come.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Install Sdkcert.cab
2. The Taskbar version you want.
3. If you using WM standard dialer and Bluetooth icon doesnt shows up, Install wmdialerBluetooth.cab(Davey101).
MAKK
##NOTE## Post 2 will soon have the details of wm6.5 specific dll files along with the icons they cover. Stay Tunes

Will be updating sooonnnnnn..
Thanks to Tsowen to be fair. Sorry 4the trouble.
Will be updating this area soon.
Hey I own a new thread ok, I'll perform my civic duty and explain a little about the WM6.5 taskbar.
I myself have made a taskbar that fully covers the WM6.5 taskbar. There are a couple of differences in wm6.5 over wm6.1:
- shellres.192.dll now has signal strength bars (5 bars) we can edit, and it seems to also be controlling the bleutooth headset icon, set rest of the icons are simial to wm6.1
- tapres.192.dll controls G, Ev, 3G, H, E, X1
- HTCVolumecontrol.dll : Volume icons
- Outres.192.dll : Message icons
- Notify.dll.0409.mui : Alarm icon
- GPSAux.dll : QuickGPS Icon
Since HTC used the the phcanOverbmp.dll to skin the pin dialer and add extra icons to the taskbar, I used this dll to do the skinning of the WM6.5 taskbar. Which worked out perpectly. For this dll to be used you will need to import these reg entries:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\ResOver\Bitmaps]
"BaseDll"="phcanOverbmp.dll"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\ResOver\Bitmaps]
"BaseId"=dword:00000000
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\ResOver\Bitmaps]
"BatteryIconIdStart"=dword:000003e9
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\ResOver\Bitmaps]
"BatteryIconLevels"=dword:00000065
Click to collapse
I have attached a my Taskbar art package here, which contains my latest taskbar makeover (WM6.5 only), This package can also be used as a reference for which files to skin, For the cooks: remember to delete the HTCVolumeControle.dll from the volumecontrol package otherwise it will overwrite my skinned one.
I will freshen this thread up with some pictures tommorow, and I'll add a cab too
Hope you are now well informed about the current status of taskbar engineering, 12
tsowentaskbar WM 6.5 (based upon my taskbar 6 elite v3)
12AON has really help pioneer the way for the WM 6.5 taskbar so huge props to him and also thanks to MysticGenious and others who offered to test and evaluate my files. Here is the updated WM 6.5 version with the dll's straight from WM 6.5 (only for those running 6.5) with this version GSM users now have colored bars. As always same rules apply as any other taskbars when installing the cab. Any bugs or problems please report back. With this new release most all the icons are controlled by the shellres.192.dll file such as battery and other icons that were located in the phcanOverbmp.dll as far as can be seen WM 6.5 does not come with a phcanOverbmp.dll but will read the file if installed. I have elected to install the file because with the new shellres only 9 battery images are located in the file verses the 101 battery images in the phcanOverbmp.dll. Please use the same Registry settings that 12aon has quoted above. Refer to this post for updates and future versions of my taskbars. This is based upon my taskbar 6 elite v3 located here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=511954&postcount=4

Known Issues:
1. Bluetooth Icon not showing up with some ROM's
2. 3G, G, H and E Active Data Icon transparency needs fixed
I need someone to try this shellres who has WM 6.5 just install the shellres and nothing else, no other taskbar or anything and please provide a screen shot as well. I added the Ev, 1X, 3G, H, E and G Icons, and a few others as well such as Active Sync and WiFi.

Hey im just about to do this now, but i noticed something else weird, i have just uninstalled your taskbar6 v3.1 and upon doing so my pin entry pad has changed to use my skin for the windows mobile dialer (not the HTC dialer)
Is it possible that something in this taksbar is altering the PIN pad? if so we may have found a way to skin it!!!
Edit Screenshot added.
Another thiink i have just noticed is that when i uninstalled your taskbar, my waiting symbol has changed back to the windows 6.5 version.

Dang I missed this post, ahh okay that gives me some ideas now! Looks like the shellres is controling most everything as 12aon said in a PM. 12aon take a look at the new shellres I posted and base it upon this picture and you will see where we are at. I think your right the battery might be the bmp's inside the shellres.
okay two new files in the shellres I added battery images right now it only has 5 images and see if this HTCVolumecontrol.dll will work.

The HTC PIN dialer skin is located in the bitmaps ind the HTCVolume.dll
OK I think I have found all the Icons in the WM6.5 taskbar:
Shellres.192.dll : Signal bars, sync icons, Wifi, 3g (G, Ev, 3G, H, E, X1) syncing+receiving data icons, battery Icons
tapres.192.dll : G, Ev, 3G, H, E, X1
HTCVolumecontrol.dll : Volume icons
Outres.dll : Message icons
Notify.dll.0409.mui : Alarm icon
GPSAux.dll : QuickGPS Icon
I haven't checked all off them but I'm pretty certain these are the icons for the GSM taskbar, 12

12 so for bluetooth is it still a bmp in Windows?
Edit: Also thanks to everyone for trying these files and reporting back. I am not GSM or WM 6.5 so I am mainly taking a stab in the dark here but hopefully we can get it all worked out.

Alright here is a corrected shellres and the rest of the dll's for WM6.5 that 12aon was so kind to provide. I have skinned for now, this is not a final version and it can always be changed with stuff. I just want to make sure all is working correctly as should be. In the zip file you will find:
shellres.192.dll
outres.192.dll
tapres.192.dll
tshers.192.dll
Nice, Here is a screenshot if the new shellres.192.dll, batt meter is nice. What are the other dll files in the zip for?
Nevermind, got my answer through reading!
Mine works great, then the speaker icon goes back to stock icon! What could be causing this?

- DoubleRingsColor require the installation of ZW-Utilities (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.thinkkwer.zwutilities&hl=de) for all functions. When you first load the new widgets all the information is above the other, for first time you have to click positions 2,4,5 repeatedly (see pictures above).
!!! You have to install ZW Utilities and start the APP once. Next hit the "+" in upper left corner and type "Ring_Color" as new variable name and store it with clicking "Add". Again hit the "+" in upper left corner and type "Back_Color" as new variable name and store it with clicking "Add". Now you can close the app and wont have to do it again. If you dont add these variables in correct spelling, Color Pickers wont work !!!
How to use / set DoubleRingsColor (see Picture above with Positions 1-6):
- Tap Position 1 to show Color-Picker for Background Color
- Tap Position 2 to toggle left Ring between Default and Alarm/Appointmentinformation
- Tap Position 3 to show Color-Picker for Ring Color
- Tap Position 4 to toggle right Ring between Default and Sun/Moonphase Infos
- Tap Position 5 to toggle right Ring between Default and 3-Days-Forecast
- Position 6 could be used by your own for example to set an external Weather-App with more detailed Infos. (Use "Module OnTap" from item "AppStart extWeather" for it
- You can still use all other 9 areas to configure and start our own Apps/Shortcuts (use "Module OnTap" of items "AppStart xxx" for it)

Hi Community,
I played with the fonts of my widget and I would like to ask you for a voting! If there is a clear winner, I will publish it as an update to existing Widgets ChromeDoubles and DoubleRingsColor.
Variant 1 is top left and Variant 4 is bottom right.
You can best vote with this link: Voting
Many Thanks for your help!
New versions of my widgets, new Fonts, new Iconset and Shadows
Somewhat newbie to ZW...have the Pro version, downloaded the ZW Utilities.... Have made a few on my own (nothing too fancy) over the past 2 months.
Have no problem supporting development, but one question before purchasing....can all the options have the language changed? English?
Thanks!

I bought this this morning - very cool stuff. I am noticing that no matter which layout I select, the temperature text is overlayed by an image of the moon phase. And most of the text in the left circle is overlayed with other text (for instance the city/conditions at the bottom of the left circle has the sunrise/sunset on top of it). This seems to occur irrespective of the layout selected. I'm on an LG G3 running Kitkat, running ZW v2.58.
Hi, did you read the following in description of the App:
DoubleRingsColor require the installation of ZW-Utilities (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.thinkkwer.zwutilities&hl=de) for all functions. When you first load the new widgets all the information is above the other, for first time you have to click positions 2,4,5 (and new 6) repeatedly (see pictures above).
Did you tap on these positions (2,4,5,6) a few times? It should work, may be after a few seconds...
Nice Widgets !
