hmm.. i just got my phone and still havent seen my first bill.. i was wondering "What's your T-Mobile bill?" if your line is added with someone else.. just add only the bill for the G1.
I have a family plan: 3000 shared min and my last bill was for $760.00 USD, because I travel outside the US and used the data plan..

whoa that sucks.. nah, im just asking for the G1 phone bill.. as an individual
$98 on the average. 1000mins and unlimited data plan
$79.99 MyFaves 2 lines 1500 minutes + $9.99 unlimited messages + $24.99 G1 plan on one + $10-$15 in 'taxes,fees, etc'....per month
70ish, I'm jewish and only got the basic 300 minutes plus unlimited data.
Im on a nice deal, 300 texts and 600 mins for £10... accidently went £75 over first month of having me g1 hehe!
$10 a month...unlimited data and texts, something like 2000anytime minutes (family member works at T-Mobile)
edit....plus $6 for the insurance on my G1
Individual Basic ($29.99) + G1 Data with 400 sms ($24.99) - 15 percent freelancers union discount + taxes and fees = about $55/mth
I'm obviously not on T-Mo, but my monthly bill is 22 bucks which includes unlimited data (though only 20 GB of HSDPA data) and 100 minutes/100 texts. I never use more than 100 minutes in a month though, usually not even a third of that.
scrub scrub
I spend like $81 USD I think? I have the lowest minute plan, 300 or w/e with the data plan, plus insurance on my g1.
$87/mo
1500 minutes - unlimited night/weekends/unlimited data/unlimited messaging
£25
800 Mins

Unlimited Internet
400 international texts
$68
1000 minutes
G1 data plan with unlimited texts and data

I'm on a family plan with my roommate. We share 800 minutes with myfaves and I have the G1 unlimited plan. I think my half is $65. MyFaves is really great if you dont call many people... 90% of my friends text almost exclusively.
If you guys pay more than $50 for just your voice plan then call Tmo. $49.00 unlimited nationwide voice for customers that have 22 months of history with them. I just saved myself $40 or so dollars. No contract extension.
My bill with tax for unlimited nationwide calling, unltd txts, data, is $94 and some change.
**edit - just dial 611 and ask for this - they'll tell you about it.

lol...me the wife and kids are on a grandfathered plan since 2006
49.99 1000 anytime minutes...free mobile to mobile (helps that both our families and most of our friends have t-mobile as well) between 4 phones we usually use about 400-450 minutes a month.
14.99 unlimited text messaging (covers all our phones on the account)
24.99 data plan for my G1
19.99 blackberry plan for my wifes curve
10.00 x 2 for each of our daughters additional lines
I called them just yesterday to see if they are doing anything special like the $50.00 unlimited plan, but for families...sadly they dont. however, she said that because we have been with them for just shy of 10 years...she was able to discount my unlimited text package to 4.99 a month and gave me the option of another upgrade on my account (I just used my upgrade in October to buy my G1).
I love tmobile customer service

If I remember correctly the loyalty family plan is supposed to be out by now and it is a little more expensive thou. Something like 100 for the first two phones and 35 for each additional.
EDIT: Check out this screen of what I see when I log in... that is 50 a month plus 40 for each additional. and 5 for messaging

mine is $87.16/mo (after my 10% discount through my employer)
$49.99 for 1500 mins

That sounds quite expensive..
I'm sory to break into your USA topic, but i think that its quite a lot you are paying right now.
Due to my earlier years with t mobile Igot my G1 for free in combination with a single year contract:
200 minutes
unlimited text
unlimited internet
40 Euro's a month. That's about 54 USD.
How come it is that expensive over there, when other things are really [in comparison]?

You also have to remember that Deustche Telekom is one of the largest carriers in Europe and T-Mobile USA is the smallest of the carriers here.
You think this is expensive, you should see the other Providers (Verizon, Sprint[aside from the unlimited everything Plan] and At&t) T-Mobile has by far the best rates in the USA. The most expensive data plan for a PHONE is only $34.99, which is really only 19.99 for the internet because it is a bundle of Unlimited SMS/MMS at $14.99 and the internet at $19.99. At&t Data plans can up to $60 for PHONES not just there data stick/card. Also in general the rates plans are about $10 to $20 cheaper then the other providers. When I was with verizon for a 2 line 700 minute plan i was paying when it was all said and done $170 a month and i didn't even have the internet on either of my lines. It was ridiculous! It is a pretty good deal for us here in the States.
My Favs 600-49.99
Unlimited Data-35.00
Mobile to Mobile 6.99
Control Charge-5.99
Insurance-3.99
All about $114 after taxes for a single line

after taxes $84
Loyalty Unlimited: 89.99

Also, mine is for two phone lines.
I have the cheapest plan and it suits me great! One of the main reasons I could afford to switch to T-Mobile.
$30 voice plan (300 minutes; I don't call that often)
$25 data plan (400 messages, unlimited data)
$55/mo total before all the fees.
T-Mobile is definitely cheaper than all the other carriers available (at least Sprint and AT&T).
Unlimited EVERYTHING, one line: $105
Okay, so I am on at&t, and me and my mom would be transferring over to T-Mobile since the plans are cheaper.
My plan right now:
900 Min anytime(w/ rollover since its at&t) = 69.99
Unlimited data and text = $30
Total = 98.94(with taxes usually 101 or 111 and depending if I use KGB or not lol)
Plan when I am t-mobile:
Unlimited Min plan $69.99(Same price as mine on at&t)
Unlimited data and text = $30
Basically Ill be paying the same thing for more, and I wont lose or gain any money(Savings wise). So the subsidy doesn't bother me, what bothers me is that I don't know if I can change that 500 min plan.
Anyone got any pointers(I chose unlimited min because of the lack rollover).
My bill has always been 100 dollars, so I can get the full package because I cant go over 100 dollars.
The Tmobile plan includes data and text, it's not $30 extra.
Yeah, I think the plan you're required to get as a new customer is 79.99 for 500 minutes and unlimited text and data. But yes, after you sign up T-Mobile will let you know move to a different plan if you wish.

You can only move to a higher plan... so a 1000 minute plan will run you 89.99.
Tito...just go for it and enjoy!
this is the way the t-mobline plan works
500 min daytime min 39.99
unlimited data plan 30.00
unlimited txt plan 10.00
so it adds up to 79.99. you CAN call tmobile to upgrade minutes because you are just on their "Even more 500 min" talk plan.
this was read off my tmobile account summary so it is right
Phewwww. . . I thought I was gonna have to live with that 500 min plan. So I can change it when ever for sure?
Whoops, I did mess up on the pricing lol.
Unlimited Plan price = 59.99
Unlimited text = 10.00
But even then its the same price.
I'm on a data only plan and I imagine most folks use the N1 for both voice and data, but let's see.
Finite minutes - unlimited data (20% voice and 80% data)
Unlimited Everything.. Though I don't talk much on it. It's the $140/month family plan for 2 phones. At some point, we may scale back to 750 minutes if we simply don't use enough.
family plan with unlimted data and messaging.
Finite minutes, unlimited data
I still have a MyFaves plan and people I call regularly are on it. Those that aren't are T-Mo Mobile to Mobile calls and the conference bridges I am on are T-Mobile bridges anyway so they are Mobile to Mobile as well, so I use over 1500+ minutes a month, and normally about 100 or so of those are ever take out of my anytime minutes. lol!
5% voice, 95% data, mostly Wi-Fi at work and home. Keeps me entertained at the mall while the wife and daughters are shopping.

UK plan
I'm on Vodafone UK (awesome 3G network)...I get 750 minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited landline calls (so no minutes cut there) and unlimited data (fair usage of 500mb per month, 1gb for iphone users, go figure!) for £30 per month...I guess that's about $50 or so...is that a good deal in the US??

Forgot to add that this cost covers the price of my contracted nokia N97 phone (which I sold for £320 and I'm on an 18 month plan...can upgrade from 15th month)...otherwise a monthly rolling plan like this with 900 minutes will cost me just £20 per month!!!
Well... I had a T-mo loyalty plan ... and bought the nexus unsubsidized. That way I did not have to be limited by that 500 min plan.
My wife and I are on the 1500 minute, unlimited messaging, unlimited data package labeled "Even More Plus". She now has my old G1, so we are an Android Family now.
Worked out a deal with T-mobile's retention department since I've been a good customer for 8 years. They set it up so I paid $279 for the phone, with the 2 year contract for the 500 minute plan... and after the 120 days, they'll put me back on my grandfathered plan which is $74.98 for 1000 minutes, unlim. n/w, and unlim sms and data. So Google won't charge their ETF and I'll be paying less over two years than if I bought the phone unsubd.
Unlimited everything with a private APN for €0/m
But then I work for Vodafone...
Vodafone Australia
$69 cap.. You get $370 worth of calls and 1GB data
I got a crazy T-Mobile deal a couple years back so I get unlimited Messaging for $9.99/Month for the entire family. That costs like $35/mo now. As long as I keep signing contracts I don't lose that $9.99. This also means my unlimited data plans for my N1 and my wifes MT are only $25/mo because we don't need the messaging with them.
I have Fave 5 with Google Voice so I have unlimited Minutes because I have my GV number on my 5.
Win for me.
Just got off chat with t-mo. Below is part of the transcript. Important lines are in bold.
kcaj32: I have one more question about that account
kcaj32: the new line I added is an HD2
tmo CS: I can see that you are typing. I just want to let you know I am still here.
kcaj32: a good friend of mine also has the HD2 and he told me that you guys have a new unlimited data plan for $20 a month for that phone instead of the $30 I had to sign up for. He told me that he already switched to the $20 unlimited data for smartphones plan. Can you add that to my new line instead of the $30 plan?
kcaj32: The line I'm talking about is 916-xxx-xxxx
tmo CS: I will check to see if that feature is available for your account. It may take me a few moments.
kcaj32: ok
tmo CS: That feature is available for that line. I have changed that over for you.
kcaj32: ok thats great. I just got an sms too saying that a web plan was changed.
kcaj32: So is this available for everyone? or just some selected people?
tmo CS: It is only available to long time loyal customers.
kcaj32: ok
Got the news from : http://forums.t-mobile.com/t5/HTC-HD2/New-20-Preferred-Smartphone-Unlimited-Web-for-HD2/td-p/360447
I logged into my primary account (android line) and I have the @20 a month option there too.
I havea grandfathered Family plan:
700 min
Unlimited Nights & Weekend
MyFavs on all lines (works great with Google Voice)
and now $20 data on all lines
This is the same plan as the $34.99 plan minus the $14.99 unlimited message option so if you had text before switching and are still using text, expect a huge bill at the end of the month.
The $30 plan does not include messaging at all. the plan with unlimited messaging is $35 a month. I have an older plan on my android with unlimited web and 400 messages for $25. And the messaging works for me on my Google Voice account.

$10 messaging (optional)
$59.99 for voice (cheapest one you can actually get)

When I signed up for the new line I was offered
$35 for unlimited messaging and data
OR
$30 for unlimited data only
But I guess it you want unlimited messaging as well, you should be able to add it to the $20 account for another $10. That is still $5 less than new customers.
This would be good for me. Been with T-mo for ~7 years and I have the unlimited family loyalty plan (offered before the all-unlimited plans were available) with the $20 addition for unlimited texts. If I can cut my HD2 bill from $25 to $20, I'll take it.
Oh, and, has anybody noticed there's a $5 charge for some sort of device insurance? I've yet to call T-mo and ask about it, but I tried to remove it myself from my plan and I can't. Both of those would be $10 less a month, which, out of my $250~ a month bill, is kind of welcome.

Device insurance is just that. It insures you for any lost or broken device, but I think there is a deductible involved in getting a replacement.
The new insurance rate for HD2 is $7 a mo... if you have it for $5, I'd say keep it (only if you plan on using it in the future)
And $250 a month? how many lines is that? and is it unlimited talk on all lines?
If I'm reading this right, the $30.00 Data Plan includes Web access and personal e-Mail (POP3 or IMAP). The $20.00 Data Plan is only Web access, no personal e-Mail. Niether plan has anything to do with text messages (SMS) or picture messages (MMS). Those are under some other add on plan. I got grandfathered with unlimited text messages for families for $9.99 and can see no reason to change it.
I just tested the $20 plan with a POP3 account and it worked just fine. Its just a discounted plan they are offering to their old customers.

Older customers being the key word here. I had an account with TMO for close to 5 years and now these bozos cannot even find it to allow me to SIM unlock my device...
I hate tmous more and even more every day...
I went to MyTmobile.com, signed in, clicked the manage my plan, shared services, Line specific services. The "preferred" web option was available on my primary smart phone line. I selected it and submitted, then got confirmation. I went back and repeated for my secondary smart phone line, then for my 1st family add-a-line dumb phone line. Total knocked off my bill... $25 a month (two smart phones @ $10 savings each, and one "phone first" @ $5 savings.)
Unlimited Text messaging is included in my family plan.
I hope any trade off for the "preferred" web plan is worth the money. Tmobile USA's normal "Unlimited" is 5Gb a month at full speed, then throttled down above that (no extra fees for being excessive users.) I hope preferred "unlimited" still is.
With the phone first plans, a semi-smart phone as an add-a-line with unlimited web comes out to just $10 extra a month ($5 for add-a-line, $5 for unlimited web). Tmobile considers two semi "internet capable" proprietary OS touchscreen phones as "phone first"... Samsung Highlight and Tmo Tap. Its a shame neither can be ROM flashed to a better OS.
The also have the Nokia Nuron with Symbian with a $10 data plan. Unfortunately the Nuron does not have Wifi. and has a very small screen. I looked at it in costco and it seemed pretty small although it was 3.2". Was looking for my Wife.

Been with TMo for years (I think since they existed.....8-9 years), and I checked and I have that option as well. Currently I have the Unlimited Data + Texts for $35.
I'm thinking of switching to the $20 Preferred Data Plan and the $10 1000 texts for a total of $30 ($5 Savings).
Are we sure that there is no difference between the data plans?
"Preferred Smartphone Unlimited Web Only
Smartphone Unlimited Web Only"
"T-Mobile Smartphone Unlimited Web
For people who love having the Web and e-mail at their fingertips. Includes unlimited Web access and unlimited personal e-mail."
Always looking for some monthly savings
nothing beats the 5.99 unlimited Tzones..
Just got off the phone with a CC rep and as most here have stated it is the same as the $25 web plan just cheaper
And for the Nokia Nuron....it is one of a couple of phones that get the $10 plans for what ever reason.....maybe because the download speeds are super slow My GF had one and the speeds on it sucked and the text messaging was pretty buggy....she ended up returning it.
Thanks for the heads up. I can also confirm that the CC rep told me there are no differences in speeds.
Just switched to the $20 Preferred Unlimited Data and $5 for 300 Texts (is it me or was there a 500 texts for $5......). Saves $10 a month, hopefully I won't go over the 300 texts.....500 would be perfect.

4 lines. the family plan is 90,unlimited
talk only on 2 lines, each additional line is 40, 20 for unlimited text on all lines. 20 unlimited web on my line and 30 unlimited blackberry web on another. plus the 5 insurance. 245.
I'm thinking of switching to the even more plus, i lose subsidy for upgrades, but it's cheaper, 140 2 lined unlimited text and web and calls, plus 30 for two more lined unlimited calls and text. 200, i do mind losing the subsidies, so maybe I'll get new phones subsidized and then switch (you're still bound by the contract, but It's less month to month)
oh and i got offered the 20 plan online, turns out i had android web and it was incompatible, so i was forced to chose the cheaper plan, no complaints, i hope it fixes the slow connection i have though (100 kbps down on 3g)
Wonder if it is really for long term customers or Tmo is just hooking up us HD2 owners

my bill is $240~$250 after my employee discount....I thought about switching to T-mobile since they have great 4g coverage in my area but I would get no discount and my bill would sky rocket into the $300 range.

We have the same exact plan with the same exact phones man! crazy.
My bill is $204.50 every month with the 5 lines. That's with the 24% discount I get from my employer. I hope to god that the discount never goes away!
I pay $30 for my line and $60ish for my girlfriends line, So $90 a month, can't beat that.
My line is a concession line because I'm an indirect dealer and my girlfriends line is in my name so she gets my 22% discount.
I pay to goddamn much. 2 lines, shared 3000 minutes so I could retain my Gold Premier (Bullsh!t) is 169.00 a month, plus taxes, etc....
After taxes and surcharges I pay $176 a month,
That's an Evo, a Transform, a Crackberry, and a Sanyo Dumb Phone with 1500 Family Shared Unlimited plan. I get a 23% discount from work.
I have 2 Evos on a family plan 1500 everything data for 125 bucks after my corporate discount. Plus 9.99/month to Best Buy for insurance (no questions asked, no deductable, my wife is hard on phones)

Been with sprint with for 15 years. Not going anywhere
Bought phone at bestbuy 199.99 but got free buyback which means that I get 40% of original price($650.00) when I trade it in next Feb. Ill keep doing the buy back every year cause it means bestbuy will pay me to use a phone for a year.
2 EVOS with 1500 minutes shared.
$132 after taxes & 25% discount.
2 phones
- 1 Epic 4G
- 1 E3D or Nexus S (depending on the day)
$155.00/month with TEP on both lines for 1500 minutes Everything data plan. This includes a discount I get due to my employer.
3 lines .. Evo's ... 1500 everything.. work discount ... 145$ a mo.
why not switch to 1500? 3000 would be ideal if 50% of your phone calls are to land lines.

How do I go about doing this as well, I am also in school...this bill is ridiculous I talked to sprint several times and with 2 phones I come no where near even using 600 minutes a month...No luck !!!
It seems like everyone has a better deal then me.
I pay $77 a month after taxes for one line and that's with the discount of 25%
How is everyone else getting a cheaper price?
this plan is the 450 minutes with unlimited
12yr customer here.
$35/month including taxes.
750 daytime, n/w @ 8pm/ unltd data/ SMS/ mms/ roaming e.t.c. Have had this plan since '02. Only downside, stuck with Win Mobile, can't get on the Android/webOS/WP7 bangwagon (at least not legitimately) without nearly tripling my bill. No way !!
