hi i cooked the new opera in a my rom, but when i go to internet on manila
and press Launch Browser nothing happens? ive noticed opera installs to a different location?
Anyone got a solution?

cant try it now as reflashed old one, ill have to flash again!

Use "WinCE CAB Manager" and place the browser the place u want it

I 've found that Youtubeplay works on Polaris. The 2 cabs and 1 zipfile in this thread don't however. Is there any working cab for the HTCYoutube player? I've seen it work in certain cooked ROM's and I think it looks better than Youtubeplay.
The interface is better. however youtubeplay gives a better quality of playback. without lagging

it should work as it contains ds filters also.

You mean that HTCYouTubeQVGA-Official0.02? Yes, I tried it, but it wouldn't even install. The installation process ends saying installation was unsuccesful. I even tried a second time after a soft reset with no avail.
I'm using udK Diamond R8.

There is no stock Opera Mini, just Opera Mobile. And at present there is no real upgrade, just more betas on the Opera website.
sure there is an update from sony from an TW Rom, it works like the built in, a little bit faster in my eyes

This is exactly what I have been looking for, I hope.
I just downloaded the cab and tried to install. It tell me that a previous version of Opera will be uninstalled then it gives me an error that it could not be uninstalled. It then asks if I want to continue with the installation anyway. I do not want to have 2 versions of Opera on my X1a. Should I just go forward or is there a way to remove the old Opera first? Help is appreciated.
OK, I took the plunge and went ahead and installed. It seemd to overwrite the files in the Windows directory but I lost the Opera file in Windows/AppMgr. Is this going to be a problem? Thoughts.

Isn't that just a shortcut? Even if it's not, just try if opera starts, if it runs, it runs.

theres a good chance the original was in rom, so theres no way you could uninstall it, as as presumed the files were overwritten.
the link is just part of the uninstall process.

i have the same problem but if you read on the internet its a common problem with the palm treo pro. Maybe we have to wait till new version of opera is on the market.
no, I think a different J2ME loading app would do the trick

and always close it using opera menu, never MS "x"

I forget where I msaw the suggestion to use it (probably TreoCentral), but JRebeiro EsmertecJbed does the job very well.

Does anybody developing Roms have an extracted copy of Worldcard for the Rhodium? My current Rom doesn't have it and my old Worldcard app doesnt work on the Rhodium. I hate to have to do a Rom update and reload software just for this app. Any help would be appreciated.

it doesn't seem to work. plus, it didn't create any type of shortcut in the Programs menu for me. anyone else have this issue?
Never mind. looked at the CAB & it puts the shortcut to Programs>Office Mobile

After installation, when I try to open this program through the shortcut, all it does is show the wait curser/wheel for few seconds. Thats it.
Can somebody confirm if this Cab is working or not. If anybody else is using a working version extracted from another ROM, can you please upload it. Thanks....

it asks you if you want to set it as default right after installation...why dont you just reinstall it and perhaps it will ask you when you have finished installation.
it is still not default from the TFLO3D. ie, tap on the globe and opera mobile opens up.
use SSMaHo
