[REQ] IGO8 not reading contact list - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV Themes and Apps

IGO8 not reading contact list?? help!! i am running igo8 8.0.0.35389
igo works fine, but it wont navigate from my contact list.
does the contact address need to be in a certain format?
or is there a fix for this.

You need to install it and not just copy the folder to root of Internal Storage. From your IGO SD card, copy the 2577 folder to root of Internal Storage. Now run the setup included in 2577 folder. It is a good idea to delete this folder afterwards, else IGO will start each time you use your phone as Disk Drive.

Storage card installations

Hey guys,
Is it possible to make a program files directory on the storage card where I can install the apps?
When I now install an app it installs on the root of the SD card.
I would like to have this a little more sorted...
Thanks
Panja
dont think you can specify the directory when installing. Active Sync does not give you the option
No thats the problem...
I was looking for an application that can change that...
With my SPV e200 it makes a directory on the storage card named: Program Files and install in that directory...

why wont it let me install on minisd?

I am trying to install pocket radiologist on my trinity. This program is quite a memory hungry program so am trying to install it onto my 2GB storage card which also has a heap of music on it (but still 500MB free).
When i go to install it it gives me the option to save it onto the storage card but when i select it it installs it into the storage memory on the trinity and not the storage card!
I cant remember if i used some kind of tweak to do this but would love to save the program to my storage card so i can also do it for GPS when i get it......
What am i doing wrong? Is there a setting somewhere which will enable this? i cant seem to find it anywhere.
thanks
Scott
anyone? help please?
someone must have some idea.....
The problem is the installer, it must be hard-coded to use the internal memory instead of the external card, it shouldn't offer the option to install on the card.
You can edit the cab file to remove the hard-coded paths using a trial of WinCE Cab Manager, but if they are hard-coded.. there could be a reason for that, anyways, you can try to do that.
have you tried installing the application on the miniSD card from a card reader, rather than Trinity?
Often if a program installs itself to the internal memory, you can safely find the directory on your phone and move it to the miniSD and just make a new shortcut to your start menu. An example is TomTom, you can copy the directory "Navigator" from the phone Program Files directory to the /Program Files directory on the miniSD and TomTom works perfectly...at least on my device.

Storage Card / Storage Card2? Problem...

I have come across this problem recently and I think it was caused by me disconnecting AS before the sync was complete.
I have a 16gb SD card in my THD which used to be called 'Storage Card' in Total Commander. Following the incident, the card has now been renamed 'Storage Card2' by the system and shows as a small external drive in the file settings. 'Storage Card' exists in aswell in Total Commander and Windows Explorer (when linked through AS) but there is only one card when connected as a USB device.
HTC Album recognises 'Storage Card' but it has all the maps etc for TomTom but I cannot get it to see 'Storage Card2' where the photos are.
I cannot rename it, using Windows Explorer or TC.
The only way I resolved the issue previously was to do a hard-reset which I don't obviously want to do.
So...has anyone come across this before and how did you solve it?
Thanks
I encountered similar problem, not with blackstone though. I used my LG KS20 back then.
I suspected the cause is: the phone cannot detect sd card while some program tries to write to 'Storage Card'. Therefore this program just create a new folder. And since there is a folder named 'Storage Card' already, when the phone detects the sd card, it is named as 'Storage Card2'.
For my case, I noted that the 'Storage Card' folder might be created by one of the software i used, galarm. For your case, some program might have created the folder when you connect the phone to pc as external usb drive.
How I solved it: I deleted 'Storage Card' (but make sure that there is no data that i need inside the directory). Take out and put back in my sd card.
It should work for you too.
Worked a treat, thanks.
Can now show my girlfriend what the THD is like compared to her iPhone with the Album software

Click to collapse
Plug the SD-card to your PC, copy the data inside the folder "Sorage Card2" into the same folder under your "Storage Card" and delete the folder "Storage Card2".
That´s all

Installing TomTom to mini SD card

Hello community,
Have anyone experienced problems installing the TomTom Navigator 6 to the mini SD card?
The option to install the application to internal memory or storage card is shown when installing via usb but then fails to install on the storage card.
There are already installed applications on the mini SD card and additional free space.
The application installs on the internal memory without problems but no free space (this was confirmed by removing applications from the internal memory).
Update: I've installed the application on the internal memory and move the folder and its contents manually to the storage card. I launch the app directly from the card and it worked. However, I haven’t yet tested it for a signal or synchronization with TomTom home, but the app starts. Updated the program shortcut link to point to the new directory and deleted the old (internal memory).
I had a look at the setup xml before stored in the .cab file and found that it explicitly installs to the internal memory. There weren't any use of variables for choice for the installation directory.
Did the developers intentionally leave that out? Or was it an oversight?
What version of TomTom are you talking about? My version (TomTom 6) installs fine onto the memory card. I am installing it from a cab file on the memory card.

IGO My Way_Android Problem

hello
i copied the .apk software in the root of SD Card and installed it via the AppsInstaller. Then i unziped an I GO My Way.zip in the SD Card and the corresponding file created. I also copied inside the I GO My Way/content/map file the maps i was interested in. But the software doesn't run and the message
" Please Insert Your SD CARD Containing IGO Content Files"
Also, i changed the name of the file from I GO My Way to iGo but the message still appears.
any ideas?
