The New GSmart U.I on the Touch Dual?

was reading an article over at coolsmartphone.com - http://coolsmartphone.com/news4008.html
The U.I looks really cool and was wondering if there was a way to get it for the Touch Dual? Cheers!

I believe that's a question for the Development board, not this one. I think I've seen something about that there ..

looks nice, shame it still links to the CRAPPY looking windows mobile apps, i wish someone would completely revamp the entire shell of windows mobile

Yeah! I also really long for something that would replace the ugly-ass WM apps, such as SMS/Email, Calendar, etc.. So if anyone find anything, please let me know

I had this working on my mine, but shifted to UL which is pretty awesome

same here ultimate launcher is brilliant. ive installed vito sms-chat and vito fun contacts too so its rare i see the hideous wm shell now

vito sms chat, how is it for you? I liked it but it created a new SMSfolder which I didnt like and SMS notifications wouldnt work anymore. On vito Quick contact, can you still pop out the software touch keypad? I mean I know we have the hardware slide out keypad but sometimes I like just using the touch screen.

sms-chat is fantastic. although you dont recieve the normal text alerts you should still hear your sms tone and a little semi-transparent window pops up in the centre of the screen with the sms info. In my opinion it is a lot better than the normal wm sms and even better still than the threaded sms in wm6.1.
Fun contacts works in such a way that you dont need to use the keyboard unless you are editing contact info and ive just confirmed for you that you can use the software keyboard as well as the hardware keyboard for this.

Can you advise me a program-reminder for missing calls and sms which will work with Manila?
I try some programs like phoneAlarm or SuperAlert but they don't work.
In my job I need a program like these.

I installed SPB Phone Suite, you can disable all the other elements (like profiles) if you don't want them, just using the reminder function and you don't have to use the today plug-in either for it to work. It runs in the background no problem.

Best PIM/ Contact/ Phone Software for Xperia X1

Hi all,
Thought I'd share this with all the X1 fans!
Firstly I am not affiliated to Inesoft in any way.
I tested Inesoft software for the Xperia X1:

Works beautifully on landscape and portrait. Also replace the "Phone" software. I've been looking for a great Phone app for years, and I must admit that this is really brilliant!

Definitely is... i have been using since a while now and performance is superb!

+1 for the Inesoft Phone 4 It's fantastic, worth the money!
I tried different full screen caller id softwares for the X1 like Photocontacts, S2U2, etc but Inesoft is the fastest and feature richest so far. Ringtone sound level is fluctuating but I think this will be fixed in the future (or is this not Inesoft's fault?).

What is Inesoft Phone doing better than Photocontacts? Whats the caller ID photoresolution for Inesoft Phone?

Haven't tried Photocontacts, so can't say about that... but Inesoft is better than anything else that i have tried. Most of them are too slow or buggy to use while others don't look good or have little to offer.
Looking at the screenshots of Photocontacts... i have to say that Inesoft is a winner of it as well - by looks alone.

Nope... no problems at my end. What version are you using? the latest release (4.4) resolves a couple of bugs/issues with the software.

Photocontacts is mostly for caller id and imho with a very standard and poor interface. Inesoft's GUI is a lot nicer (support real skins too) and it can handle (edit) contacts, has favorites view, nice dialer with customizable T9 search (v4.4) that searches in all name field of the contact details, nice call history with sms preview, phone profiles, customizable ringtones per contact or category and so on. Read the features on their page and try it

After reading some of these recommendations I think I will try Inesoft, but I gather its not free.
The best of the free iv come across so far is PocketCM 0.27 with the Modiefied Black Diamond II skin, which was modified for the Touch HD, fanstatic smooth scroll, fits in well with Touch 3D.

Most of this photo contacts does too. If it has high resolution caller photos it would try it though..

Some people said Inesoft phone cannot work together with spb mobile shell.
Is it true ? has anyone installed both softwares in X1?

hey i downloaded the trial for inesoft and i have a few questions for you full version people.
When i hit the call button the inesoft dialpad appears with my last call. i start dialing and when i actually hit the call button to make the call the default windows dialpad replaces the inesoft one. is that how the full version is?
Also, when i hit the call button to check voicemail the inesoft dialpad shows up as expected, but as i press and hold 1 there is no further action. how do you guys check your voicemail with the inesoft full version?

Yes that's how it's supposed to be. Inesoft are supposed to be adding there own dialpad in the next release. The problem they are having at the moment (so they say on their forum) is the 3G video calls. So we'll have to wait and see...
Not sure about the voicemail issue, not had a voicemail since I had it installed to try!

Inesoft with Spb Shell
I know someone asked before whether the Inesoft Contacts buggers up Spb Shell... I can say that it does from experience... I did like the Inesoft setup but it only worked once i had called using the spb shell... then it just stayed after i had finished....
does anyone know of a work around for this? or is there a better software round that will work with spb shell ... the contacts there is good just the caller id is rubbish (as its the standard one for X1)

Phone Panel?

Hi,
I am interested in a Phone panel... yes indeed a panel, displaying a dialer / contact scroller (finger friendly) only . I find it sometimes, irritating when the dialer is not showning up or is blocked by a popup message . Anyone got advise on this? I hope they will improve it with winmo 6.5 or 7.

I know its not quite what you are asking for, but have you had a look at Inesoft Phone 4 ?
Its a much better dialer than stock Xperia.
Its a buyer , though.

Hey thanks, for the suggestion. I am wondering, will Inesoft Phone 4, handle the incoming phone calls? (so no more tiny message popups, and putting the dialer in the background, to be honest, I lose several seconds just to switch)
I am not sure how Inesoft Phone 4, is implemented.. but if it replaces the original dialer completely. And not hogging too much resources (and battery life) away, I will consider buying it.
Seeing, manilla panel, youtube panel.. I see not reason why this application cannot be transformed into a panel aswell.

i agree the inesoft application is must have. its today plugin has changed my impression about wm phone.

May I ask this question again about Inesoft phone 4 :
Can Inesoft phone 4 and spb mobile shell work together ? Some people said they cannot.

i have both installed on my xperia. it can not be shown on now screen of mobile shell, but from menu it can be accessed.

why do you install both spb phone suite and inesoft phone ?

i did not like the profiles in inesoft. spb phone suite is used for profiles only

Your today screen looks nice. I would like to play with the inesoft phone, but i needed to send back my phone due to bad battery life and paint/piece coming off

Inesoft is by far the best add-on for Windows Mobile... i have been using it for a while now and it has been running without problems and faster than ever.

Default Contact Manager

Hi all,
I've using the tp2 from few days and seriously love it. I've never been a fan of Touch Flo so, I prefer no to use it.
There is something I don't understand.
When touch flo is activated, i have the new marvelous one finger contact manager, contact editor and other stuffs like call history. When I disable TF, I just get the old winmo contact manager, what a pity !!
Does anyone knows how to not use Touch Flo but all the others facilities ?

You can't use TP2 apps, if TF3D is disabled.
I think you need 3rd party software...

What a shame !
