Hi, is this available for the blackstone? i unlocked both my touch dual and m5000 and its great to be able to do anything i want conveniently....flashing roms etc
is there anyone working on this? or maybe even a free sim-unlock? im a bit wary of purchasing a sim unlock code because i paid to unlock my touch dual, then the speaker died and i had to get it replaced under insurance, and i was back stuck with a locked phone
well, there is no free sim unlock code here in XDA.
but you check the frist page of stick thread there is an hspl for blackstone. use search function.

Hello all. I got a TMobile Wing from US (I'm from South America), but it's SIM Unlocked.
Anyone knows where can I get a "unlock code key generator" where I can input my IMEI and it gives me my SIM Unlock Code!???
I'm not willing to pay U$ 35!!!!!!!!!, because the phone already cost me a fortune here.
After reading the WIKI, I saw that at this point there's no way (except paying to some obscure website) to unlock the wing.
My points are:
1) How hard can It be to unlock it, because:
1) the website can do that, and I'm pretty sure they're not using the official way.
2) I only need SIM unlock. When I use my SIM card, it asks for an unlock code. I'm assuming that the unlock code is a function of my IMEI number.
If there are code generators for other HTC models, how different the algorithm can be? And, of course, the guys from that website most probably have broke it.
3) I used to crack 68k code long time ago on my Commodore Amiga. Is there any emulator or something? A debugger like softice? Who's working on the unlock code generator? Can I help?
I've been going thru the herald forums for months now, and I have yet to hear of anyone being able to bypass SIM lock on the herald ...
I'm sure if you could figure out how to unlock, it would be much appreciated by the whole community.
i second that.... hope you find a way man... because ive been itching to get my wing working... 35 dollars for a code? that would be too much... some say they can get it from t-mobile for free, you just have to contact them... the problem with our situation (yes i bought mine from ebay also), we do not have a contract with them. i tried it already and they were not willing to help unless i am the subscriber myself asking for the unlocking. i tried contacting the person i bought my phone from but i got no answer.

I was Olipro's tester for his hard-spl, and after it was done, my O2 terra was sim unlocked.
I have no idea how it happened, though
Looking for the cheapest genuine place to SIM unlock the Touch HD.
A quick google brings back a list of places but if you then google them they all seem to be listed as a scam merchant at some place or other. Lots of stories of paying your money only to be told that they can't provide you with a unlock code right now but they could send you a sim card.
Anyone on here unlocked there touch HD? Where did you get it done and how much did it set you back?

You should clarify whether you are trying to SIM unlock or CID unlock.
Yah I did have a look at expansys but it worked out cheapest from orange with the 150 quid quidco cashback (£323 total if you downgrade the contract) and i get to keep my £10 a month contract from 3. Although Orange send this out locked unfortunately.

SIM unlock. Not sure if it comes CID locked(or actually what a CID lock is )
IT DOES come CID locked (you can't install unsigned applications by default)
Those purchased over ebay and expansys and the likes are usually SIM unlocked while those sold by Telco as part of a plan are normally SIM locked.
I'm not aware of any that is CID unlocked. CID unlocking are normally the speciality of people like Cmonex and Olipro. It would allow you to install any ROM without bricking your device. I'm sure very soon you will hear from either or both of them on their masterpiece releases. Watch this thread:

You can install almost any unsigned application by default. You can't change roms however, without cracking it first using some hard SPL.
My bad - but I tried to install vxUtil yesterday and it wouldn't let me as it didn't have a signed cert.
Hi fellows.. I'll be geting my Jade (touch 3g) in few days frm UK.. the prob is that its network locked.. and I live in india, so I wont be able to use it here.. found many unlocking sites but they are demanding money to generate unlock code.. is there any way of unlocking the device like in previous htc touch??

Do I require specific software to unlock the phone or can it be done without it?
When I put a O2 SIM in it (its locked to Orange) - it does'nt seem to detect it and shows a "No SIM" message.
The phone works fine with a Orange SIM, though.

oh man, If you read it properly it clearly says IT WONT UNLOCK YOU PHONES TO OTHER NETWORKS, so it means NO sim free unlocking.
You need to buy unlocking code and do it urself.

Search ebay for UNIVERSAL UNLOCK UNLOCKED TURBO SIM CARD SAMSUNG NOKIA it worked for me and its under £5 too
You can call T-mobile direct and there will charge you £15.
It's the best and the safest way a guaranteed code, but you have to be with T-Mobile at least more than one month.
Just to add to this thread, you have to use a Windows Mobile ROM to SIM unlock the HD2. This is due to the fact that only Windows Mobile ROMe can access the bootloader, the IPL of bootloader is where the actual sim lock for the device and where the changes will be made on the device. You enter the code into SIM manager to unlock it.
I have just bought a used htc hd2 from t-mobile which has android on it.How to unlock it as it asks for the unlock code when I put a different sim on it?
Just call Tmo.. tell them that you're traveling abroad and need to use your phone with different provider. They will give you the unlock code free of charge. Done that with mine about a year ago. And now those phones are not in their prime anymore, do not think that you'll have any problem unlocking it through Tmo.....

If your HD2 is from T-Mobile US and you have a plan with them, just give them a call. It should be free to get the code.
If not there are many places online to get an unlock code. DO NOT pay more than $10 for it though.

Im new in the forum and I havent found any info about unlocking the Tattoo for free, in theory the best way to do it is with the IMEI code, however I havent found any software for doing it for free, I found some for most of the HTC phones but not for Tattoo.
Can anyone help me with this? Is there any other way to unlock it? For free.

I would also like to know this as i just purchased a tattoo today and it is locked to orange.
I have the same Scenario. I've got an Orange locked Tattoo and everything I've tried so far has been in vain.
What I have managed to do is remove the Orange ROM and flash it with a generic ROM, gets rid of all that orange guff. Unfortunately, doing that alone doesn't unlock the device.
I've also bought one of these iSim super sims. That hasn't arrived yet, but I'm hoping that it will in the next couple of days. I'll let you know how I get on with that.
Again, this is all a bit new to me, not being in this space before. From what I gather the problem is the Radio element of the ROM. So it's possible to flash the other elements, but there's some additional security around the Radio and that's where the CID check occurs. You may have noticed they've been able to root the tattoo recently and that should in the near future give us the ability to build our own custom ROM and flash the device with that.....I'm really hoping that process will properly unlock the device.......but its not been done yet as far as I can tell.
I think if I had my time again, I'd tell our lass to not buy the tattoo off Ebay and pay £180 from Play.com for an unlocked one. But we are where we are.
1. CID lock and SIM lock are 2 different stuffs
2. Even if you pay for the sim lock it might not work, like for most of us here
