Hi im a bit new here but how do you install for example Gsen or TF3D Config?

Copy the .cab to your Internal Storage and then run it in File Explorer :]

These questions are being asked more and more these days, especially as models such as HTC Diamond and Omnia are becoming more popular with the mainstream, which leads me to the point - there ISNT actually any instructions as how to install an app with the HTC Diamond is there? Ive never seen any...

No. We could make a FAQ.

is it not in the wiki?

Actually there should be an FAQ for evrything on this forum like TF3D Config how to install themes, how to reinstall original theme etc.

It does pretty much explain how to install new/original themes on the TF3D config thread anyway, but i guess it would help the people who choose not to read

I totally agree!
I, as well am a noob in all the phone things.
I know something, but things that are said in the forums here....are sometimes just not understandable.
So it's a PRETTY good idea to come up with a FAQ.
1: noobs like me can just read the FAQ, and do NOT hours and hours of reading the threads and still don't getting it.
2: You guys....that are already a little bit further in the knowledge don't get ( stupid/boring) questions all the time....

Can anyone do up the Manilla 2D for WM5?
If not anything else, it would be great if atleast the analog clock can be ported to WM5 and given as a standalone today plugin!!!

Read the threads carefully, and don't post separated threads, as everything is posted RIGHT THERE!!

It's not junk, but you have to realize that we don't have the source code to it. No one can easily port it anywhere. I have it running just fine on a ROM I'm working on and it's not taking more than a meg or two of RAM.

someone should start already on a port that would make it run on NON-HTC Devices first, before porting it over to a different OS altogether...

It was available since i first visited this forum Many people dont actually go to wiki pages and prefer to get confused by reading here and there. I am glad you did opposite of the what masses do. And added to it too

I think it will be a great idea, actually thats what I was intending, most experienced users first try the wiki page. Actually I was pretty surprised not to find it in the Gene page. Hope you don't mind checking the Vox wiki page, it will give you some idea how to go about it. I know you can do it .

Ya, will give it a shot tonight. Hey, did you tried that battery icon dll that a guy posted in the Stickey thread? Its great! Show you percentage of battery discharged in the intervals of 1% on the top of battery bar. I am thinking about including it in next version of ROM

i would like to know if I approach them {HTC} for warranty over my phone for some hardware issue is it possible to get my phone repaired ??
or can i cheat them by installing old 6.1??

For minor problem you can bring your device to your friend Rakesh thats me,
and the default WM version for new gene is 6.0 not 6.1,

do gene supports 2350 mah battery ??
bcos as most of the senior members saying that wizards battery is supported by gene
wizard also supports 2350 and 2850 mah battery costing 1000 bucks approx

i m thinking to cleanup gene-upgrading sub forum just like ppl do it devlopment-and-hacking sub forum
we remove all sticky from here and put all thread link to with nice description in wiki only one sticky remain here which redirect user to wiki
if anybody like idea, plz reply.

if the users will finally have to open the post linked in wiki then there is no need to put them in wiki n unstuck them. Just my opinion, no offense.

hmm but forum look ugly if some more sticky added. also some sticky thread are not useful after some time. eg. if somebody remember my XIP porting thread which ppl stick long time ago but current new kitchen don't need xip porting so I removed if myself.
also currently two kitchen thread has sticky if we combine both, also there r three diffrent sticky thread only for upgrading and know how to HSPL phone if we combine all it's good for new ppl + forum look clean.

Yupe I agree, even Da_g 6.5 thread use to be sticky.There are too much of unecessary sticky ,like how to create packages ,when one software(cab2oem2newKitchen) can do easily . May it is time when the thread starter request the moderator.or someone else request the moderator.

pls help me i need official rom for p 3400 new gene

Newbie - What can be done?

Hey guys new to the forum - i've had a HD for about 3 months now and done nothing with it just used it as i would a nokia 402! lol I chose this over the iphone simply because of the keybad option when typing texts etc.
What cool things can be done to make my HD better?
My HD runs slow all the time -it's not loaded up with junk or any files at all really and yet it runs slow when the hardware specs suggest it shouldnt. I'm on orange (so prolly got a bs orange rom, right?)
Can you get cool games for the HD for when im at work like you can the iphone?

I recomend having a look in the ROM dev forum and wait until dutty releases his 3.9xt ROM.
If you flash this rom you will think you have a new phone!
Read up on crackwhores guide to flashing as i'm guessing you will have the stock spl.
So you have to flash an official HTC 1.54 ROM first. Then flash duttys.
I may sound complicated but it really isn't.
Also, if i were you i'd use USPL as appose to HSPL as the latter voids your phone warranty!

Well he's got 3.8 out atm but said he'll upload 3.9 tonight so ye, i'd wait a day tbh.
Also, there have been some problems with people using backup&restore programs for sms, contacts and things so if you can sync your calendar and contacts using outlook that would be even better.
His new ROM will also be UC compatible which is going to make installing all your main cabs the easiest thing in the world

Are you using search because your questions have been answered many times all over this site look above and type what you want in search you will be surprised by what you can learn or you can check the wiki as well they even list what works and what doesnt including games

Read all you can about flashing and then, try new ROM's.
My ROM if Laurentius L26, and I'm really satisfied with it...
Also take a look on apps to install...

Mate, the best thing to do is search and learn...
Flashing is changing the ROM (software) of your mobile. You can change the stock ROM by a lot of cooked ROMs that are posted here at the site.
But until you decide on what to do, read carefully all threads to understand how it works...

i've flashed it to Dutty's XT Turbo 3.9... it's pretty nice. I was just asking about the gsensor games lol

there are plently.. at least for starters u are in the right forum !!!!
search around look around.. ask questions at QnA
you can take a look at my humble blog too... there are some useful freewares made by folks here mentioned there too

Hi and thanks for all the help and roms that this forum provides.I have finally go the the hang of installing different roms with no problem,but one problem i am having and i have done a search on the tmobile hd2 part of the forum on finding how to install manila tv and i am finding no luck and i have searched youtube aswell.i'm sure to alot of you think this is a stupid question,but i am coming from being a iphone user and being a hd2 huge fan and will never ever switch back to apple product again.HTC is my choice for life.Anyway thank you very much for allowing me to be apart of this forum and for all the help in the future.Thanks alot ping33tx.

Kumars latest ROM v 2.0 has manilla tv. Ask him on his thread to see if he has a cab available.
