long-time lurker, first-time poster. finally decided it was time to sign up as i searched everywhere for this and couldn't find an answer.
i'm looking for a set of replacement windows mobile phone icons, like the one seen in schaps's roms. these icons replace the following icons in settings:
-backlight
-device info
-screen
-csd line type
-gprs settings
-network cards
-wireless lan
i believe that they were derived from the icon found in wmp11 as it also has the icon in settings under the "devices" tab.
obviously, searching for "windows mobile phone icon" generated a lot of unnecessary results. if anyone could point me in the right direction or, better yet, upload the icon pack, i'd greatly appreciate it.
attached is a screenshot of how the base icon looks like (boxed in red). thanks in advance.

In the official WM5 ROM from I-Mate the battery icon is shown on the title bar and clock is hidden beneath it. Is there a way to bring it down to systray and make the clock visible? Please help.
download Batti v2.1 from http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/batti.shtml and install it on your universal. In the settings for the app, uncheck "Show Battery Icon in Top Bar". That will display the clock in the top bar!
download Battery Watch v1.03 from http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/batterywatch.shtml and install it on your universal to get the battery icon on your systray!
They're both freeware, so, enjoy!!
I found the answer to the part of my question at http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Universal_Registry about adding battery icon to systray and I would like similar procedure for its removal from title bar. Thanks for your help I will be certainly using your addon untill I get my desired answer. Thanks a lot once again.
I would recommend having Batti as a must-have application if you like battery stats! The rest is up to you of course, i always prefer moderate-functionality apps to messing with the registry myself! They're small, easier to handle, removable and just provide more functionality that reg-editting!!
I used Batti but it didn't removed battery icon. What happens is that when app installs it is already configured not to show battery icon but the icon shows so I enabled it just to give a try and as a result two icons were shown then I unchecked it and only the new icon went away. The original icon remained there. Registery hack is a must!!!
weird, now i'm wondering how i got rid of the battery icon I'll let you know if i figure that out
That's really very nice !!!!! Figure it out soon please !
Still awaiting response. Please somebody help me soon.
I've recently stumbled upon "wisbar adv 3" from some of the members on this site so i went out and got it, online wise, but i have a problem where my original battery display icons are gone and i have some crappy ones now, how do i retain FInixNOver VGA Battery mods while using wisbar?
i'm not sure you can - you can either have the battery icon (depends on the theme how good/bad it is) or a battery "line" along the top bar - in wisbar settings - taskbar - others tab - you can change most of the icons to the default but not the battery!
try Protn v2 theme the battery icon on that is quite cool (it's a blue theme by the way)
go into settings - taskbar - and on the first tab (assignments) check the button name is "battery/memory status" and check the box with "make this item visible on the taskbar" - you can then either pick it to execute to wisbars "battery/memory bubble" or to the default battery page in wm (battery panel)
I’ve been looking round the forum – see people posting a pic of their themes. With different icons and backgrounds throughout the UI.
I tried to install one of the .cabs – It changed the top icons (start, reception etc).. Also changed the background for windows except the home scene (presume you set the home screen manually).
It didn’t however change the bottom icons – anyone know what i’m doing wrong? Do i have to do something extra to change the icons?
You most likely have to install sdkcert.cab, have a look in some of the icon topics mostly you'll find a link in the startpost.
I am using a taskbar icon set that works well with one exception. On my Verizon TP, the taskbar displays the 'Silent' Icon when the phone is set to normal, and displays the 'Normal' icon when the phone is set to silent. What tells Windows which icon to display. Others have found the same issue, so it could be a VZ thing.
I'm pretty sure the icons are in HTCVolume.dll, but I haven't yet confirmed this.
I couldn't find any relevant references in the registry, so this might be coded in the dll???
Can this perhaps be fixed by rearranging the order of the icons in the .dll? If so, can anyone recommend a good app?
Thanks!
Hello,
I've been searching for a while but I couldn't find sufficient answers on how to do this.
Is there a tutorial to manually make and set tile icons for any program/app that fill up the tiles as a whole just like Store app icons, without using any editing software?
The reason I want to do this manually is because the apps in the Windows Store that can edit these icons have to pop up every time I start the program that I have edited its icon with the editing app. This seems to be something that can't be disabled in Windows 10
Oblytile seemed to be a good editing app that doesn't pop up every time you start up the program you've edited its icon of, but unfortunately it's not compatible with Windows 10 anymore.
Also, if there is an editing app that doesn't pop up, I'd really like it to be able to also make wide tiles (not just small or medium squared tiles) since some editing apps don't support that.
Looking forward to answers on this.

Yes, just look for "Customize Tiles on Windows 10 Start Menu" on youtube or something like that.
Something that bothers me is that icons also change on the taskbar, when the program is running, which is something I want to avoid, and I don't know how to keep the original icon on the taskbar.

Thanks for the reply. The problem is, I can't find any way to make wide tiles manually. I think this would need an app but the problem is that apps usually always pop up for a very brief moment when you open the concerning app for which you've made a customized wide tile.
