Hi.
Is it possible to add some sound notification when the battery is getting low/critical?
I only see settings to have the X1 blink its lights around the screen if the battery is low but nothing about sound.
Sorry. Found the answer myself. I had to add the Default-key in the registry for the battery low notification and then it showed up in the list.
Thread can be closed.
Hi Glithramir
I'm searching for a low-batt sound notification too.
Where did you add the reg-entry?
HKCU/ControlPanel/Notifications/{A877D663-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}
Add new key "Default" with value: "Battery: Low" or something. =)
great
thx a lot
it should b in settings somewhere
it works on mine
start > settings > personal tab > sounds & notifications > sounds > tick the box next to events
mine always bleeps when the battery is low

Folks can anyone help me disable the battery life warning alert ... have installed the PHM Registry editor in my xda...don't know how to proceed...
thanks
Go to:
http://www.yorch.net/apps.htm
and download the Low Battery Notification Fix & install it..
To just disable the warning message & sound notification:
Go to Start -> Settings -> Sounds & Notifications, then choose the NOTIFICATIONS tab at bottom, then select LOW BATTERY WARNING from the list & untick all of the check boxes then OK..
I like the warning sound, so I just keep it to inform me that my battery is 40% or below
You can edit the registry in this way
Hi, I'm new in this forum, as I'm a newbie with my Wallaby, you can edit the registry in this way:
Browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877D663-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}\
Create a String value named "Default" and set its value to "Low battery warning".
Now go to Start > Settings > Personal tab > Sounds & Notifications applet > Notifications tab, select "Low battery warning" in the "Select an event" drop-down list and you can customize it.
Kind regards from Spain
ok i figured out how to add a new notification but i dont know how to get the program to play the notification. thanks for the help in advance
i am still trying to accomplish this task please help. or maybe lead me in the right direction. thanks
What do you mean by a "notification"?
If you mean an alarm, then:
- Go to Settings > System > Clock & Alarms > Alarms tab
- Or use a third party app that makes this easier (enAlarmPPC)
If you mean notification of an event (like receipt of a message), then:
- Go to Settings > Personal > Sounds and Notifications > Notifications. Pick your event at the top and add what you want to happen.
- Or use a third-party app that makes this easier, including setting up Profiles for different conditions (PhoneAlarm or PocketZenPhone)
If you want to set something to happen (other than playing a sound or displaying or flashing), then you need a third-party app like MemMaid.
Hope this helps...

Hi all ...just got the HD2 yesterday ...so far fairly impressed with it ..battery usage is a little scary down to 58 after 15 hours and most of those hours where at night ...but still got to be kind of realistic with the size of screen and cpu it has anyway could anyone help/tell me a way to turn off the vibrate function will typing on the keyboard... I’m finding typing is not a problem at with the standard setup just the annoying vibrate feedback ...ive gone through all the menus on the phone looking for the option to turn it off but nothing found also quickly checked the forum to, and didn’t see anything???..
thanks
Go to the settings tab, select the topmost option for adjusting background, tabs, etc. On the next screen you'll find an option for turning vibration feedback on/off.
Actual names might be different as I'm using a Dutch language ROM.
thank you ...was looking in the wrong place ..(the keyboard setup menu)
HD2 (Leo) Disabling keyboard vibration
Thank you..You are absolutely correct.. missed this one and was looking in all other places.
Its located under Sense UI settings > Personalize > Vibration
Thanks again..

doing this doesn´t disable the vibration on my keyboard what can i do?
Settings -> Personalize -> Vibration. Untick the box for 'Vibrate when I tap buttons in HTC Sense,....'
doing the above will also lose the feedback vibration while clicking the tabs in homescreen...... the other simple way to only disable vibration in keyboard alone is do the following registry tweak
Using Resco Registry, go to Hkey Local Machine / Software / HTC / ezsip
Add a new DWORD Value string and call it "VibrationEnabled" (without the quotes) and give it a value of 0.
then Soft reset and enjoy!
or install this cab.
Hi All,
Im hoping somebody can help me with this one.
Is it possible for me to remove the loud DTMF sounds when dialling a number please?
It is loud and annoying (bit like my wife!)
Any help is genuinely appreciated
Cheers

Windows key - > Settings - > Menu button in lower right corner - > All Settings
Then go Personal - > Phone and put Off for keypad
Excellent i couldn't find that setting either.
There is a zoom feature in the sound notification settings ??? I can't understand that !
Hi, my first post here.
I hope this hasn't been asked before, but I have searched and not found the answer.
Yesterday, my HD2 rang it's usual ringtone several times, but no caller was displayed. I then realised it was actually the low battery notification. I have no idea how it came to be using my ringtone as the notifier, as this is a custom MP3, not one of the on board tones, but is there any way to change this?
Thanks in advance,
Simon.
Can anyone help with this, please?
Yes, I'd like to know how to change low battery warning sound too. Right now, mine is just a short beep.
Modify the Low battery warning
Browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877D663-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}\
Create a String value named "Default" and set its value to "Low battery warning".

the simplest way is go to Setting => Sounds & Display => Notification sounds => Reminders then you can pick one you like for low battery warning

No, it isn't, because the option isn't there until you perform the reg hack above.

Excellent tip. Thanks a lot!
HD2, default notification message open when battery level is 10%, how to change this value to 15% or 20%?
So...
The other day my HTC HD2 spoke to me and told me the battery was low... it was a real voice and others heard it too. I have had this phone for well over 6 months and I have drained the battery before, but it has NEVER spoken before.... I am going to try your ideas for changing the notification, but I didn't know that you could change the low battery notification nor that having a spoken notification was an option- it is a little creepy...
