Is it possible and where do I get Tom Tom Nav 7 maps for my HTC Touch Pro phone?
Buy them through TomTom Home from your PC.

I have just installed TT5 on my M1000 replacing TT3
My question is this is there anyway to get the TT3 maps of the USA to run with TT5, as I am off on my holidays there, will need to use TT5 to navigate to the airport, fly over and switch to USA maps when i land at the other side.
Will i have to uninstall TT5 and just use 3 as before ?
Or will both programs run together TT5 for UK map and TT3 for USA?
I bet the answer wont be a easy one
Thanks in advance
So does anyone have TOM TOM maps loaded on a SD card to use as GPS instead of having to connect to a GPS unit with their WING?
I saw a guy once who had the whole Tom Tom setup on his MDA and had all the maps loaded on his mem card to access them.
Any thoughts guys?
I´m not sure what you are going after here but if you have the TomTom dvd it will install maps to your SD card and you can access them without having a GPS unit, and plan routes. You cannot however use it to navigate in realtime since the Wing doesn´t have built-in GPS reciever. For that to work you wold need a bluetooth GPS receiver.
I installed a tom tom Navigator in my 3600 and work good with the map europe and Canary Island, I installed USA map but it not reconize the map somebody know why is not working fine, the map is for navigator for 3600.
Maybe coz yr cracked version is not the right one
Google TOMTOM map compatibility and make sure the map (version) is compatible with your version of Tomtom.
I have tom tom navigator 6 with uk ireland and europe maps which worked brilliant on my tytn II. but it doesn't work on my touch HD as the screen resolution is all wrong so i followed a link on this forum that allowed me to download tom tom 7 which does work fine on the HD but it doesn't come with any maps. tom tom home on my pc recognizes that tom tom 7 is on the device and that i've got maps installed on the phone but when i start tom tom 7 on my HD it doesn't recognize the maps are there. How can i get it to recognize the maps?
so you are trying to get TT6 maps to load on TT7 software?
yeah if thats possible.
I confirm is possible. I was in the same situation as yours (tytn II with TT6). I installed TT7 on my new blackstone, connected to TT home, update device (TT home needs to be aware that you upgraded) amnd then installed the TT6 maps.
Everything is working fine now.
hi, which versikon of TT Home?
thnx
Cannot check right now but it's not the latest, it 6 month old...ar u saying that maybe it's not working with the latest? I won't upgrade then.
well for me, i am new to all of this
I will get my HD next week (hopefuly) and then i'll start experimenting with what i have gathered of info and software.
I hope i can get everything up and running before my trip to the states.
Just checked my version, is 1.5
i want to purchase tomtom so i could put it on my phone but can u purchase tomtom form the internet so i could install it on my phone or do i have togo to the store and by tomtom and then install it to my phone
You can find the tomtom 7.910 cab on here and install that but that only gives you a free local map, to get the full navigator maps you can go to the tomtom website, pay for and download them, the tomtom cab is only the software that gives the device the ability to read the maps...
any idea if tom tom locks on GPs faster than wayloser ops i mean wayfinder?
TBH I am not sure, I know that tomtom is very fast and I usually get more than 5 or 6 satelites locked on in less than a minute from a cold start, using quick gps its about 10 secs... I canned wayfinder pretty much straight away after starting it for 5 secs...
