recently got my X1 but having some difficulties transfering my contacts to my X1 from my iphone. someone help thanks.
Its easy if you have a Mac? You can sync everything from your Mac to WM devices with some sync tools. On Windows though, i dont know. Not sure if Iphone can sync with outlook.
do you ever call using iphone?
Use Zyb
http://blog.zyb.com/index.php/tag/iphone/
if you are using windows, download itunes for windows use this to sync the iphone and outlook. After that, sync your Xperia with Outlook with activesync

Hey guys,
Right now I have all my phone numbers saved in SIM card and each type of number (e.g. mobile or home) is separated for each person. Is there a way for me to transfer these numbers to phone and automatically join back under the same person? (i.e. Both mobile and home numbers under one contact instead of split into two)? Thanks!
sync with outlook, copy and paste then re-sync to the phone memory.
Perhaps you could dump the data into excel... but I'm not too sure. I have synchronised with outlook since my w800i (4 phones ago) and all of my contacts have remained merged.
What phone are you bringing your contacts across from?
Are they grouped on that phone? If they are then sync those contacts with outlook first, then sync your x1
nice i used w800i too!
Can you elaborate on the procedure please? --> "sync with outlook, copy and paste then re-sync to the phone memory."
Thanks!
What phone were you using prior to the X1?
Were the contacts merged on that phone?
Do you still have it?
Do you have outlook (set up) on your computer?
Each phone uses different software to synchronise with your pc (outlook contacts, calander info, files etc.). The xperia has software on the cd that would have come with the phone.
If you have the contacts already set up on your old phone how you would like them, then download the software for that phone (see manufacturer's website).
Sync that phone with outlook so that outlook has the contacts displayed how you want.
---------Now for the X1--------
If you are using Vista, install Windows Mobile Device Center, if you have XP install active sync 4.5.
Check out microsofts help file for syncing here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/default.mspx
Go through the help pages and you will find heaps more useful stuff.
Alternatively, outlook can export to and import from excel, so depending on your excel skills, you might be able to merge your contacts this way.
I sync my x1 with my work and home pc's daily so that all 3 devices are up to date.

Not active sync.. you would need the sony ericsson pc suite for the w800 or w810i (I had both... then a blackberry.. long story)... anyway, you can get the pc suite for the w800 here: http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/download/1/103/286/1192973163/Sony Ericsson PC Suite 2.10.46.exe
It's ~44mb.
This will allow you to get your contacts off your w800, then you need Active Sync to get the contacts from outlook onto your x1.

Hello guys, I have a HTC Diamond and I'm selling it becouse I boght a New, Fantastic and Excellent HTC Tattoo; now the problem is, how I can transfer all that I have in my Diamont into my new Tattoo? I mean contacts, sms, mms, appointments? There is a Possibility to do that?
Thanks.
You can transfer contacts and appointments through sync with a PC running Microsoft Outlook. First sync with your diamond then again with that tattoo... that is how I do. but regarding that SMS & MMS I have not tried yet

I mean Microsoft Outlook not outlook express. I guess Tattoo can sync with OE but not by Diamond (WinMo). Winmo sync only with Microsoft Outlook which is part of MS Office. I am using Windows 7 PC and working fine.
Whats the easiest way to get the contacts from my iphone onto my leo ?...i believe that 'my phone' can do the job but i thought there may be an easier way to sync them to it.
Try syncing the contacts to outlook.
Iphone contacts (mac) to outlook (micro$oft) i would not of thought it possibly...i will try though
Well, if you have a PC near by you it should work, since ActiveSync syncs up outlook contacts with WM devices.
I understand that...but active sync and outlook wont connect with the iphone

Hmm, I remember I made iTunes sync with outlook before. That was a when I had the 1st Gen iPhone.
Yeah you were right...its buried in itunes but it is possible, i just dumped them to outlook, there is also an option to dump them to windows contacts but i believe that is reffering to windows address book in which case i am running windows 7 and that is no longer part of the OS.
Thanks.
No problem, I had this similar issue switching from an iPhone to a WM phone a while back.

i bought today my x10 and my searching a way for tranfer my contacts from outlook 2007 to my x10. i found a way using google calendar. is there any other way to transfer my contacts with out uploading to the net and after download it to my mobile?
Either Google sync or Sony Ericsson sync. I think Android devices, given that it is Google software, wants you NOT to use anything related to Microsoft.
Well. you could export them from outlook and upload them onto gmail.com
Or you could syncronize your outlook with gmail.
But I think that Moxxier or whatever it was called can sync with outlook, but I am not that sure tho.. Since I do not have Outlook anymore.
Try CompanionLink USB. u can download a free 14-day evaluation version.
Companionlink worked beautifully for me.
