Windows Media Player - Touch HD General

Hi - is there a way to make windows media player as my default player?
Also can you somehow change the options so when you start WMP it goes to the correct folder? (currently it just opens the generic library and I have to navigate to the right area)
Thanks!

WMP 10- Remove "My Device" from library

This is what I want- when i start windows media player it has all the songs in my device loaded and all I need to do is press play.
But this is my situation now: when I start Windows Media player it goes directly to my library which is better than the alternative choice of it going to the player with no songs loaded-- but it defaults to my library of songs on "My Device" as it calls it.
How do I have WMP default to Storage Card- that way I don't need to use the stylus to change the directory??- ie- I ca use WMP by only using buttons.
Thanks in Advance,
Daniel
There is a registry tweak you can do to achieve this. Read this thread I started on the subject and towards the bottom is the registry setting you need to change

Do you know if there is a way to have you're whole library/playlist loaded when you start WMP ??
Thanks,
Daniel
Nope, sorry.

Windows Media Player skin

Hi there,
When I want to use another skin for the Media Player 10 Mobile, a neat Media Player 11 skin, I copy the skinfiles in a folder called "WMP11" to \Program Files\Windows Media Player\.
The MP finds the actual skin in the options menu tab "Skins" and when I select the skin it has been succesfully applied.
The thing is, when I close the Media Player (real closing not minimalize) and open it again, it always starts to look for skins and I then need to reselect the MP11 skin.
How can I push the Media Player to avoid this and to let it handle my own skin the same as the default one?
Thnx!!
Anyone a solution to this?
i did what u did exactlly but it doesnt work with me
me too have tried this and now whenever i start my wmp it takes almost 30-40 secs to load infact it has become slow from earlier even now i have deleted that skin file.

Voice Command and other Media Players

I just figured out how to change the Media Player, wich is used by Voice Command to start Media Files: just assign another Media Player (like TCPMP) wich .asx files and Voice Command uses this player! You just need to actualize the Media Libray with the Media Player abd can use every player you want (if it can open .asx files. The GSPlayer can not. But i think i will change this...

Media Player question

I've read a lot of good stuff about synchronizing the Windows Media Player 10 with the HTC Tynt (WM6). However, I do not seem to be able to view the nice album covers which i can see on my desktop PC.
Do I need to download some special skins to do this for the mobile media player???
regards,
This works effortlessly and without any "special" steps for me. Although I am using windows media player 11 for the Desktop. What is your entire process for placing and playing files? Are you doing the following (which I do personally)
1) Sync music under windows media player itself, not copying files over through explorer.
2) On Pocket Windows Media Player, update your library via menu
3) Under pocket windows media player, play your music through the library itself, as opposed to individually through file explorer.
Yes, exactly how I do it. The music is synchronized and plays well but the main media player screen does not show anything except the usual stuff like title, rating (stars)...
I also use Windows Media Player 11 and on the PC, I can see the album cover without problems.
Just tried it again and once again it worked fine for me. What rom are you using?

Change music folder?

Hello community,
I synchronize my music with Windows Media Player 11 / ActiveSync.
The Windows Media Player always copies the music to "Storage Card\Music".
Is there any possibility to change this path?
I've already searched HD2's registry for a suitable option, but I couldn't find one.
