sounds playing too fast - Touch GSM General

I'm having a problem with my Elf where shortly after each time I perform a soft reset, the sound will speed up. So ringtones, notification sounds, and music all are played a little faster and hence have a higher than normal pitch. Eventually it may return back to normal, but I haven't noticed a pattern as to what causes it to revert.
I recently flashed a new ROM, but the same phenomenon is occurring. Any thoughts? Anyone else having the same problem?

ya....I too have this problem....Somebody help us....

Me too. When I turn on BT sound of ringtone will play too fast.
when I soft reset it back to normal.

me too!!! has anybody solved this?
after using my ELFin for a few hours the sounds, music, ringtones and video start playing faster (pitched up). I did everything I could, reflash it, rom change, windows change, and nothing works. It is solved everytime I reset or if I plug and unplug the headphones.
Any suggestion or FIX?

Same here...
Here's me jumping on the bandwagon... everything just speeds up all of a sudden!!! Even the mp3 files i try to play speed up...
Help, experts!

Hmm...i don't have any of the above programs on mine, but we both have the same problem...could be something else.
Also, I noticed that when the device speeds up, it also drains the battery faster. As in a HELL OF A LOT faster...

No, I didn't. It was a separate thread that had then been merged by the mods.
(Sorry to be a troll - But can someone delete this and my previous one as I do not have this issue.)
Just a thought though, have any off you overclocked your devices?

Try to soft reset your device. Hopefully it should start paying sounds properly. You can also try using another player (nitrogen) for playing songs.
Hopefully one of the solutions should work. (Soft reset worked for me once)

Caller ID not popping up all the way help.

Hi when my phone rings my caller id window doesn't pop up all the way. Only a few pixels to where I can't see the number. When I check my call log the number is there but when it rings it looks like it wants to pop up all the way but gets stuck. I searched but didn't see anything related. Anyone got any help? Thanks.
are you using and 3rd party apps that may interfere with this?

It happened to me after I installed RLToday. I just did a soft reset and everything is working now.
I have phoneweaver installed but have used that for a long time without problems. I don't have any of the RL progs... I did migrate to the L26 Kaiser ROM recently... Thanks for the responses though... When I soft reset it will work again for a while.

Well it's working now but I think it'll stop working again since that's what happened last time. It may be another program I'm using in between. Guess I'll just have to test.

Delay on answer your phone.

It seems like when I answer the phone there is a little delay. The other side already talking and I seem to miss part of the conversation. Does anyone has this problem? Any fix for this?
Thanks
Nope... no such issue at my end.
I know there's an end call delay built into WM, default is 3 seconds. I've "heard" that tweaking this setting helps on both answering and ending, although I haven't bothered to try it myself. Not sure how to do it manually, but this tool can do it.

delay???
how long....the diamond has a slight delay....but you get used to it
do you mean when ringing...or when you answer call and talk????
as the 3 second thing on ring is on all wm phones
if its the ring....attached is the cab i use....should work for you too

Well a little delay is ok. Meaning its a common occurrence on most WM phones. I've had it on my magician and also on my elf. So yeah...you do get used to it. That's of course if its a reasonably short delay.

the diamond is less that half a second,,,but if you don't know it can catch you out
I got a little delay when I answer a call, but I will get used to it
why da fck do you have to get used to it.
Other phones don't have that problem and i'm really thinking of switching back to Nokia N96 because of this problem.
My x1 had the same problem, but when i installed touch HD's dialer then the delay is about 1 sec, before it was about 2-3sec.

Thanks. It seems better with this one.
I think i may have found the solution. Ringtones placed in phone memory will play faster than ringtones stored in SD CARD.
when i had my ringtones on SD, it would ring 3 times before i could hear the ringtone. if ring tones are placed in phone memory the ringing is almost instant.
has anyone noticed that if your ringtone is playing while you press the answer key that the ringtone will transfer to the earpeice before you can hear the caller on the other end?
Bro for the WM u need to place the ringtones on the phone for them to play. U cant play them directly from the memory card.

Ringtone problem

Hi all,
I got my TD2 and I must say I like it very much.
Learning now for ROMs and this stuff, I was at Symbian till now .
One question: I have problem with ringtone when receiving call. No matter what ringtone I put, mp3 one, I got snaps and short empty spaces, like when you talk on walkie-talkie but not that obvious. Maybe it has something with bits, mono-stereo or something.
Anyone have same problem?

How about when you use a standard ringtone from HTC?
If that is also bad and you have stock rom you will have to hard reset your device.

Yes, it's the same and yes I have stock ROM.
So I'll check if hard reset helps me.
Thanks.
Same thing happened.
I updated it with new ROM (official from HTC) and same thing is happening.
My ringtone is like when you listen CD in car and hit a bump.

CreateDIBSection fail! When trying to adjust audio in Music Player

Hi I have had this issue for a while, and thought I'd try and sort it.
I can't find any answers on it easily on here, there was a post on another board in a massive 70+ page thread, but noone answered it.
Basically I get the attached error message whenever I touch the volume button in the HTC Music Player.
Anyone else seen this and have any ideas
Thanks
I cant believe I am the only one who has had this issue? Its driving me mad, as you have to set the volume before you start the music player.
I did have it sometimes as well, but I can't understand why does it happen sometimes..was a sort of a random error for me.
I wonder why does it occur?

Mine is 100% of the time
Which is a shame because I have the phone all configured and tweaked just how i like it except for this one little glitch (excluding the fact you need to restart the phone nearly everytime you enable bluetooth )
Well, it is very strange..
I think it normally happened to me after I used the RAM sweeper, but I'm not sure.
Now that I think of it, it could also have been something to do with Brain's taskbar..after I installed DJC's taskbar I can't remember this problem happening again.

I removed the Brains Taskbar and the problem stopped!
Installed DJC's instead, although I do prefer the look of Brains, but I cant have everything it seems.
I will try and let em know about that issue with the volume button.

[Q] Sound, vibrator issues with wp7

As mentioned in the subject. Am new to wp7 on hd2. Wanted to know if there is any way I can stop my hd2 going haywire vibrating every time i click on a folder in touch explorer or registry editor or advanced config ..etc ..etc. etc .... And is there anyway I can increase the lousy in call volume..Its really getting to be an issue...I can hardly hear or make myself be heard while talking on the phone which kinda screws up the point of having a cell in the first place.... Why are there no options for editing the in call volume , media volume and ringtone separately as in android??? Help will be appreciated ... Thanks

but dont except this solved your problem...
So, no solution to the awful crackling sound of some ringtones (not all of them). I am running the HD2O 2.00b ROM and has been running flawlessly in all other aspects.
