IMode on XDA

Anyone tried getting imode to work on the xda?

I have been able to connect to the GPRS network of my imode provider and i get this config:
IP: 172.23.80.111
Netmask: 255.255.0.O
Gateway: 172.23.0.1
DNS: -
I did a pingsweep on the network 10.10.100.0/24 and i got these addresses replying:
10.10.100.10
10.10.100.13
But i'm still not able to connect to the internet, i need a proxy and a dns address.
Anyone knows anything about this?
I have BASE (belgium) as provider (part of KPN)

These settings will enable you to use IMODE on your xda for BASE.
APN: portalmmm.nl or [blank]
Username: [blank]
Password: [blank]
Proxy: none
DHCP: yes
DNS: automatic
Then fire up Ezos Ez-WAP and configure a this as gateway
ip: 10.10.100.10
port: 9201
this is a connection oriented WAP gateway
now surf to http://menu/gprs/mn/main.aspx for the imode menu

We found an http proxy running on 10.10.100.10 5080. So when you connect with the settings above, en set this proxy server, you should be able to surf normal website (== NON imode stuff)
Also, it's possible to setup an http tunnel where you can tunnel you traffic trough, so you 'll have a full internet connection

Imode on XDA II
Hi,
Just got my first XDA today,
a T-Mobile MDA,
Released the SIM-lock trough the new "soft-version method" on this site (perfect, thx again!),
Put my KPN I-mode SIM in the MDA,
Am lost now on how to get I-mode going and would love to accomplish full internet functionality

wich says it's not possible on the XDA II wich I think is BS, if it works on the XDA I, why not on the XDA II??!!
Need help and am yet very unexperienced with the use of pocket-pc...

i-mode on qtek 2020
I have i-mode access on my qtek 2020.
I set up the gprs connection and proxy (port 5080) like for xda.
PIE does not show all i-mode pages (user agent i think).
I tried EZ wap 2.5 and this one show the start menu http://gprs/....

imode - netfront
Imode works fine for me on a german T-mobile MDAII.
also imode mail, but you need to use netfron 3.0 or 3.1 for this and change the user agent.
normal http works fine also, bt no MSN messenger (but you can use
emessenger).
I use a Base pre-paid card.
It aloso works in Holland and Germany with the same Sim card and
only 7 euros / month

Imode Base / netfront / Tunneling
Hi all,
A few months ago, I could manage to surf with Imode on my XDA2.
1 Netfront 3.0 ok too but Netfront 3.1 does not work on XDA2 for GPRS connexion, I even obtained a refund from them.
2 Can you give me more details on how to tunnel forfull access ? I have tried but not successfull. I would like to be able to gain POP3 access.

Can anybody give me a hint how to set up my s100 for receiving normal pop mail?
- what are the settings? (I tried my outlook setting but don't work)
- what is outgoign server available?

I can not get imode worked use my XDA on o2.

TELFORT [NL] MSN could not connect (but IE does)

I now have my himalya for a year and i transfered from Orange to Telfort (in the netherlands) I went to the Telfort shop bu they couldn't fix my prob. I can connect to google, so i tried. but msn keeps telling:
LOGON TO MSN MESSENGER SERVICE FAILED BECAUSE THE SERVICE IS NOT RESPONDING
Try LATER
I just do't know what ee i hlsave to change. Ther must be some one in NL who has the same. O and isn't ther a Setup file like Orange has?

t-mobile set up please help me sort settings

Hi guys i got a mini s unlocked nearly a year ago currently running bd 3.1 on o2. wanna ditch o2 coz of the gprs non support on payg i have been told that t mobile do ihave the sim cards but cant get the settings from tmobile they dont come up on screen like there site sed and i have found so meny i dunno what will work plus do i need webnwalk or just some standard gprs settings really wanna get it sorted. thanks j

Look for "lurch2tmobile.cab" it will set up gprs settings automatically.....

will that work for the uk settings?
i cant find the file anywere and when i try and do it via tmobs site i get the texxt and 30 secs l8r every thing lights up but nothing happens and nothing asks me for a password any ideas?

stephendoumit mentions a file (which is nowhere easily found...and trust me...I'm pretty good at finding stuff on the net and forums) yet doesn't bother to attach it here. Nor offers the settings to manually do this.
If anyone bothers to make a post - at least make it worthwhile! If you CAN'T...then don't post a reply! Nobody will be mad at you for not posting anything
Here are the settings I used to get mine working...although I must inform you that I am using T-Mobile in the US (California). This works great for me although I can only confirm success with the GPRS CONNECTIONS, as that is the only one that I used (hopefully the rest of them are useful for someone else )

What about e-mail?
Will these setting allow me to receive email? When I upgraded to WM6, I could not get emails to my K-jam. They would only come through as SMS. I had to downgrade to WM5 (Tmobile) to set up my email. Is there a fix or way around this?

just look for any "Network Wizard cab" then you can set up a network with operator that uses sim cards. it's just that easy.

however, it is for wm5 and wm6 looks all different and has different options.
so i go start - settings - connection - connection - new internet connection
then i enter a name, select gprs, enter access point name (wap.eplus.de), enter username and pw (eplus and wap). under andvanced i check server asigned ip / server assigned adresses.
then i go set up proxy server, check "uses proxy server" and then what? what do i have to enter in proxy server field? what do i have to enter in andvanced options? (http, wap, secure wap, socks?!) i tried putting 212.023.097.009:8080 in proxy server field, but didnt work.
please help me guys!

I tried yesterday and had the same problem, till I found out that first the Primary Proxy Port is 9012 and the GRPS-Zugangspunkt is not wap.eplus.de but internet.eplus.de
