How to edit registry to set PocketCM Keyboard as default input type

yup.. sipchange will do the trick. I used it to also set pocketcm keyboard as my default.

Imselector same issue...
select Your default Keyboard then its YOUR !!!

SIPchange is a good software but i really need a registry hack for change the default keyboard.
I have to make a CAB file with a SIP keyboard that makes itself the default but don't hide all the others.
Have anyone ideas?

use sktools much better, you can disable and enable all keyboard, or even delete them.

Opera Diamond 9.5

I asked this in the Opera Diamond thread, but alas, no responses, so I thought I would post here. I installed the Diamond version of Opera 9.5 and am having an input issue.
Is anyone else having an input problem when trying to type in a web address? On my touch, only the 123 portion of the Touch Keyboard will open. I can't change it to abc...
Otherwise I love this thing. I can change to another keyboard, but it is a pain to have to do that everytime because I use the Touch Keyboard by default for everything and I'm used to it.

Which keyboard is that? It's not the regular one, well maybe a skinned one, and maybe that's where your problem comes from. I use the ones that came on the phone & diamond full qwerty and it works fine.

It's the default Touch Keyboard. It has a skin on it, but otherwise it's the default keyboard. The skin shouldn't make any difference.

Opera did not provide the necessary feed back for the keyboard to know that it is a text field instead of a numeric field. I guess you just have to wait until they do or get another keyboard software that only do text by default. I use Resco. I think 9.5 is still in beta. in 8.x version, it works fine.

I am using a 9.5 beta but I can't remember what build. I had problems with my keyboard (it was one of the diamond ones.) I changed to letter recognizer and it worked like a charm.

Making the default input method actually work? (614c)

Another HP iPQS 614c question - I've set the default input method to T9. However, what I'm seeing is that this only applies to certain text boxes. It generally works okay for SMSs, but, it doesn't work when entering information into Internet Explorer.
Is this the behaviour other people see?
Does anyone know how to make the default actually be the default for all entry places?

yes, all this does is change the system setting. nothing more.
the problem is that the system setting, the "default", well its only a default for certain types of input box.
try setting it to T9, then load internet explorer and click in the address bar. you won't be on T9.

I got this tool to default SIP even after restart.
I already forget where I find this tool.

PCMKeyboard as default keyboard?

After every soft reset the normal Wm6.1 standard is the default again and you have to change it manual to the pcmkeyboard.
Does anybody found a solution how to set the Pcmkeyboard as default?

Keyboard outputs only numbers

Hi all, i've installed this rom to a htc touch hd...
When i try to reply to a sms tapping in the white box and using the phone-like keyboard (that with 9 buttons), it outputs only numbers, and i have to close and reopen it to get it working properly... Any clue?

i have the same problem with all xannytech roms....

Use HD Tweak and disable T9 mode (think its No. 20.2 in HD Tweak).

But I want to use T9 ....
edit: tested and does not work on xannytech grid evo 1.7,it outputs only numbers...

Try this:
Go into the registry and ensure the following settings, then soft reset. (Remember to take note of the current values in case you need to go back.)
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\e001 0409
Layout Text to "eT9 IME"
Ime File to "\windows\eT9ime.dll"
HKCR\CLSID\{73AB106C-A726-484b-B610-BE3E1CF39821}
(Default) = "XT9"
(My entry for the last one is "Value not set" but then I don't use T9.)

Another user that had this problem also fixed it with these reg changes.
Ensure that the path to the ime.dll file is listed exactly as below and not as "\\windows\......." - this double "\\" instead of a single "\" was found to be the problem.
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\e001 0409
Layout Text to "eT9 IME"
Ime File to "\windows\eT9ime.dll"
There is a cab file here to automate the reg tweaks, so you may want to try that so that you get the entries correct.
It has also been suggested that installing custom T9 files can cause this problem.
