Hi,
I've just got a T-Mobile MDA Pro, (HTC Universal) brand spanking new, lovely windows mobile 2005 o/s ........but no msn messenger??
I've had several Htc Windows based smartphones/Pda's all of which had it built in, but I can't find it anywhere.
Anyone know how to patch this up so I can continue to use messenger without giving my log in details to third party apps?

I have got the Touch yesterday. Everythings work finde except the windows live messenger getting some troubles.
Live messenger could not show any people in the ONLINE list after first time logon. I 've reconfigured my msn account, without any problem at first time.
but... the problem happened again. Any idea?
Yessssss, I haven the same problem : no contact and error message !!!!
There's a new version of the messenger client, linked on the hermes general forum.
The new client works fine.

My Touch comes with 10.6.0026.2700... getting "None online" problem.
Can anyone provide a .cab file? (I don't have any windows installed)

Are you guys have a Chinese TOUCH?
I had no problem with Windows Live.
If you have an English TOUCH,
I had no problem with Windows Live either.
Now, if you have an English WM6 but loaded a Chinese OS on it, then it may or may not work (mine didn't) with Windows Live.
Windows CE just like its damn older sibling Windows, applications can run into conflicts; PAIN in the rear end.
I own a Dutch Elf, and the problem occurs here as well :-( No errors or anything, just no-one online. They can message you though, but you appear offline in their contact lists :-\

Yes, it will install over the existing but it seems that it does take more memory space...

I've found out that deleting your password in windows Live and login in Windows Live with another account and accepting the license thingies again it works like a charm. (long sentence, lazy today)

I have a french HTC touch and the problem is the same. the only way to be really connected is to configure the connexion on each time.
If i only ask him to connecte the touch seems to be connected but is not.

Hi! I need a bit of help here. I'm trying to help my freind with his XV6800. I have the Sprint 6800. He uses only hotmail, and I tried to install Windows Live on his device only to fail. Does anyone here who has a XV6800 have Windows Live working? I can't even set up hotmail in Pocket outlook. Really bizarre. I'm at a loss because I actually recommended the phone to him saying that it could use Windows Live just like mine does. Anyone have any suggestions? I've tried searching but didn't get any answers.

Ok i need some help.
I have just got my new X1 and i cant connect for to Windows Messenger using the app pre installed on the phone. I cant connect the phone to the internet using wifi and 3g without any problems, and i can even use the online version of messenger at mobile.live.com.
Another problem that i have with the Windows Live app is that when i try and synch it always says that its failed. I have set up my live email and that is fine i can receive and send without any problems.
I tried using the Windows Live Panel and its just the same outcome..
Anyone got any ideas ?

Maybe you have to setup what elements of the account have to be syncronized.
For transferring files using chat messaging, I can't find a better WM6 messenger app than the Windows Messenger that is included in the AP4 ROM.
I want to transfer files with a friend who has a AT&T Tilt/Kaiser. They are using the original Tilt ROM, and they don't want to change the ROM.
I would like to get the CAB or the installer for the version of Windows Messenger I have, so they can install it on their Tilt (preferable the CAB.)
I think Windows Messenger is a component of Windows Live rather than a separate app, and the Windows Live installers I've been able to find don't have a working version of Windows Messenger.
I'd appreciate it if someone can help me find a CAB or installer app that includes the Windows Messenger that comes with AP4.

My friend installed it on their Tilt and it works.
One odd thing though. It looks like there is a limit to the transfer file size. It seems to be 2 meg limit. This limit does not exist when transferring files between Windows Messenger apps running on XP.
