Unlock with XDA Manipulator via USB already planed?

Anyone tried the unlock tool with an WM2003 ROM?
Since the unlock tool requires the wmodem application, it could be possible that it will work.
It this is the way, unlocking via USB wouldn´t be necessary, or?

Give me an locked xda and i will test it... :wink:
Maybe one of the "new" XDA-Users will be possible to manage it. Or is it possible to lock the phone via the manipulator? :?

Bad news.
Tried ist today with my device.
Get an Error "Error getting unlock code"
I don´t know if it´s because my device is already unlocked, but i don´t think so.

Help Installing CAB? Error Uncertified sytem software!!

When I try to run a cab file on the XDA Exec I get the following error:
Unable to install, Uncertificed sytem software detected.
How do I work around this, do I need to do something to the CAB file or the O/S to make it accept the file?

In the XDA FTP secton ,there is a CAB file to disable security
If you dont know where is the FTP, please use the search button, or go to wiki of xda dev and near the bottom there is a link to FTP tutorial

Ive spent most of the afternoon searching, Ive run the following cab file which I believe you are referring to Default_Signed_DisableSecurity.CAB if it isnt then be a good chap and point me at the right file name, the search engine on this site isnt that accurate!!!!
Oh and it doesnt help trying to make smart comments, if you dont want to help then please dont post. not everyone asks a question without doing research beforehand.

First of all, Yes, that is the file I was talking about.
Second, if you read my post correctly, I was commenting on using the SEARCH option with regards to HOW TO ACCESS the FTP site. as there are a lot of people who do not know how to access the FTP site and in the wiki, it is very carefully explained on how to do it.
So, if you think I am making smart comments, then I kinda feel offended. I was trying to help. and am not sure I did but I don't see any SMART COMMENT in my reply. Did I say you didnt research? How come you go off all agressive?
Please be clearer regarding what part of my reply was a "SMART COMMENT" so I know what went wrong.

If I offended you then I appologise, I have been on many forums, when I ask a quesiton the first person that reads the post generally comes back with a do a search or look in the FTP assuming that I have not already done that. I always exhaust all avenues that I can before posting. I have tried the Hacks over and over to no avail. the error message is still there. The CAB file in quesiton was extracted from an XDA2S so may be incompatible??

No prob, we are all here to help eachother. Since the XDA2S is WM2003SE and not WM5 maybe this is the problem. What thas this particular CAB file do? Maybe someone can suggest an alternative

Has that something to do with BlackBerry? What does it do?

Its the Blackberry software for PDA's unfortunately it seems to be locked to BlueAngel at the moment, I would be keen to find a Universal WM5 version!!

Just got an M600. Ok, spent ages searching to see if you can swap the rom without unlocking and stuff, all I can find is..
You can't unlock it for free yet ?
You can't unlock CIC bit yet
You can't flash another rom to it without doing this ?
Anyone with an M600 flashed a new ROM ?

anyway, there is no software out there to sim unlock for free at the moment. The only way to unlock it is through websites such as http://www.imei-check.co.uk/
But if you want to flash to a different rom, you can still do this without sim unlocking the phone. just look for the modified romupdateutility in the prophet upgrading section of the forum

Actually, I've tried searching for "G3 G4" (without quotes, of course) and nothing!
"The following errors occurred with your search:
1. Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms."
If you could help me by telling me how to search (have tried advanced search, no dice) then I'd be greatful. Thanks.

Problem with Xda-developers

I know this probably isnt the right thread but i have limited use for a computer right now and I was wondering why none of the links on xda are working.
First I tried to dowload the love rom and it says file not found.
Also i tried to dowload the registry tweak cab for my wizard and still nothing.
If someone knows what the prob is please message me asap. thankyou

You have to confirm your e-mail before being able to download.
This can be done in your user CP.

I just completed the confirmation and thankyou for the guidance but the link to the love rom says it does not exist and i cant find where to download anywhere else.

If you take a look at the Wiki you will find the link. Click here if you are tired reading .
