maybe the size of the gif is not fit the screen, make sure it is 480*640.

Anyone know how to make a moving gif as your today screen background? Or maybe as the default image that comes on instead of the myinfo screen?

Not sure which program you are using for animated gifs, but I've had good results with Microsoft GIF Animator. Search Google for it. It's an old program but it works great on XP, not sure about Vista though. Worth a try.
Palette?
Check the palette size. I think GIF can have upt o 256 colors. If your original image has more than 256 then the inbetween colors will dither. Can you try a full 256 color palette and no dither?
Animated GIF will mostly always look like that since their colors only a little..if you want to make a perfect animated pics..you got to use flash

I downloaded the microsoft gif animator.. that works nicely even though it is old
That forced me to save all images as gifs before placing them in the animated gif which incidentally removed the fuzziness from the images!
I guess you cant make jpegs an animated gif without losing a lot of the data and causing fuzziness.. good to know thanks guys

Does anybody knows if exists a program that can actually make my diamond wallpaper or the s2u2 wallpaper to be in flash extension? There are thousands of beautiful clocks and animations I would like to have on my diamond screen.
i would suggest searching for Animated GIF's to use with S2u2. You will find a bunch of VGA animated gifs that work perfectly with s2u2. as far as your today screen, i personally think it would be way too much going on. i might reference you to the Panoramic TF3D2.1 options that are available. I also would like something animated on my today screen with tf3d, is there a way to use animated gif's . I can use a gif now but the animations are missing. I been looking for a solution for this for years now. I own the alltel touch pro but previously had the ppc 6700. Never could get it to work. I did however install s2u2 , which is nice kinda like a screen saver which does show animated gif's (http://www.1800pocketpc.com/2008/04/02/s2u2-v100-screen-lock-application-for-pocketpc.html) ( wallpaper pack http://www.1800pocketpc.com/2008/04/29/s2u2-animated-wallpaper-pack-2.html) but so much would love to have a animated gif on today/home sccreen
animated gifs have BIG filesizes, and these will need to be stored in ram

hi there, i have a picture of my missus that i want to put as the lock screen wallpaper however it tiles the same picture as it is smaller than the screen (480x800). i was wondreing if there was a way of getting the picture to be centred in the screen, with a blank background, similar to the XP setting.
i have tried enlarging the photo to 480 x 800 but it doesnt look right

You need something that will resize it and keep the aspect ratio, and then resize it to either 480x... or ...x800, then add a black background to fill the gaps at the top & bottom or sides.
