Bluetooth rSAP working (Skoda, Mercedes, BMW) - XPERIA X1 General

Hi guys,
Just connected a Touch HD to a new Columbus radio system using rSAP.
So probably it will also work with our Xperia's, however I haven't tried for I do not have a rSAP radio available anymore.
I am not the one who made the .cab file needed, I simply followed the instructions on this site, and fiddled around a bit:
http://briskoda.net/superb-ii/howto-...mobile/131709/
Here's what I did to get it working:
1) Download the .cab files from the above mentioned thread
2) Install .net compact framework 3.5
3) Install the BT_sap.cab file, it will say installation failed, but just ignore that..
4) Using file explorer, find "SAP settings" in the windows folder and click it.
5) Go to start => settings => connections => bluetooth and turn on bluetooth and make your device visible.
6) Uncheck the authentication or password box, then check the box that says "remote sim acces"
7) Connect to the radio.
That's all folks
Hope it works for you, please write your findings here.

Did anyone get to use the same time rsap + data connection?
When I turn one the rsap the data connection is automaticly turned off.

WM 6.5
This worked for me on Valkyrie's ROM on WM 6.5 (Without installing .NET CF 3.5).
There is no tab for SAP under bluetooth settings and there is no authentication checkbox. All you have to do is run the 2 files in the windows folder called sapsettings and enable the checkbox for rSAP.
I'm using a Skoda Bolero (same as VW Premium or RCD-510)

Dear All,
I had the same problem like you but with Parrot MKI9100. The cab was solution of my trouble. I attached cab file to my replay. Thie cab file work propertly with MW 6.5.

Just done exactly the same with my Xperia X1 on a Skoda Octavia and it works brilliantly. Thank you very much for your post - I had been searching for an answer for a while and many people were claiming it did not work. Cheers again

O2 mini unable to receive file from IPAQ PPC by bluetooth

I am using O2 mini chinese version, and I have upgraded the ROM to 1.11.06 CHT. I just found the problem yesterday when I ask my friend to send a file to me from his IPAQ 4150 by Bluetooth. Then I ask another friend who is using IPAQ 2210 to send the file to me but also show an error message "Unable to connect to device "Pocket_PC"". Could anyone can help me about this problem? Thanks.
P.S. I can send file to all other PPC but only can receive file from O2 mini only.
i think i have a solution for you,
goto settings > connectoins> beam
select the checkbox there,
this checkbox is not only for Irda but also BT.
goodluck
Thanks for your answer, but I have tick that checkbox already. It is not only my Mini, I have tested 3 O2 mini (2 are using old rom and 1 is using new rom) and all of them have the same problem. Is there any way that I can enable the OBEX for receiving files in Mini? or any Bluetooth software can fix the problem?
Honestly, the MS BT stack is really.......
Hi there,
Problem with OBEX on MS Stack...use the file attached and after u install select the option "OBEX ON" Rest is self explanatory.U can then receive via BT from any phone.
Do not work on my iPaq. Still can't receive files. Vista (and other cell phones) says my device is unable to process that file (in translation).

K-Jam / Windows Mobile 5 & TomTom 5

Anyone got TomTom 5 working with Windows Mobile 5?
I received my k-Jam this morning but the setup.exe bombs out so I cannot get TT5 installed at all
any help appreciated!
thanks
Try to install the .cab file instead, it should work.
thanks but I have tried that. 3 of the 4 CAB files install but the main one (ttn.cab) - looks like its going to install ok and then you get "the file....installation was unsuccesful".
Any ideas?
Nothing on the TT site - I'm surprised that X51v or other early Windows Mobile 5 users have not been onto this one?
It seems like a problem with Activesync 4.0 initially but as the cab files don't work i guess we need a patch from them?
anyone got it working?
thanks
TomTom 5 install Problem
I had the same problem with the auto run procedure on my mini SD card.
I solved the problem by navigating to the '2577' folder and running each cab file directly on the phone (didnt use activesync). This seemed to work for me.
However, now Im having trouble with bluetooth com ports. Tomtom configuration does not show the port numbers assigned to my paired gps reciever.
Try this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=29282&highlight=tt5+kjam+qtek+wm5
Let me know how well tt5 runs on the k-jam ie how smooth etc as i'm awaiting my miniSD so can't try it yet!
TomTom Navigator 5.10 works with Windows Mobile 5 and Activesync 4 - but it's NOT easy. The instructions in this thread got it working for me (though I used COM4 instead of COM0):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=28386
Also I found that the bluetooth GPS had to be locked on to a signal for TomTom to see it at first - was fine after that.
Although my device is a HTC Universal, it has the same OS and Activesync version as your Wizard so there's no reason why it shouldn't work. Go to the above link and enjoy

I had the same problem. All cabs would install except the ttn cab. Here's how I solved it.
1. uninstall everything
2. install gps.cab
3. remove sd card and soft reset (this is the important bit)
4. install ttn.cab and this time it should work
Thanks for your help guys.
sl9; How did you get 5.1 to upgrade? After copying the files from the downloaded RAR file I tried to run the setup.exe file on the phone but get a message telling me that the file is not a valid windows mobile program (perhaps it is a smartphone program).

The setup.exe is meant to be run on your PC, it uses activesync. Obviously we know this doesn't work so the solution is to get the 5.10 upgrade from TomTom website as the ZIP FILE, NOT THE EXE - this is important
Anyway, extract the zip, and copy the directory with the 4 cab files in it to your SD card (where you have the map on). Then execute the cabs one by one, using the tip by jdee246 above if any of the cabs don't want to install.
After you install it, then the fun begins trying to get the damn thing to recognise your GPS device, see the link in my earlier post for a guide
Thanks guys - the soft reset seemed to do it. The manual install worked fine in the end.
I now have to wait for TomTom support to give me a code as I already had two a few months back so I can't report on how well it runs yet. Overall tho the Wizard/k-Jam is pretty slow - esp for screen refreshes.
I did try the BAKONL hack which I use to test TomTom on various devices but the ttn.cab on that patch just will not install for me under Win Mob 5.
thans
Thanks to all for your help.
Managed to get Tomtom 5.1 up and running. 5.1 seems to have fixed the gps connectivity problem.
The software runs on the K-JAM just as fast as it did on my QtekS110, with no problems yet.

Hello ,
How can I install the folder "voices" because it's not a ".cab" ?
Thanks for your help.....
Who had install Tomtom 5 on the K-jam ?
Because it's too hard for me and I don't understand everything .... :?
Thanks for your help !!!!
In total you have to copy 4 files from your wm2003 device and paste to wm2005 in these dir:
mobile device\tomtom\CurrentMap.dat
\TomTom\TomTom\data05.bmp (voice files on cd)
\TomTom\TomTom\data05.chk (voice files on cd
\Program Files\navigator\data.chk
\Program Files\navigator\tomtom navigator.exe
\Program Files\navigator\navigator.cfg
that's all.
data05.bmp and .chk is for example, you can choose one of your own voices.
Look this up on your device other wise i send you my files so you can try them.
Good Luck
GuidO
Thanks for your help !!!!!
I try this tomorrow ....
regards.
T-Mobile MDA Compact
Hi Guys
I seem to also be having problems with my MDA.
I can install tom-tom just fine, but for some reason it just doesnt recognise my Bluetooth GPS receiver. The receiver brand & model is as per this page:
http://www.qstarz.com/html/products_BT-Q770.htm
I have enabled COM 4 & 5 in the bluetooth settings page and configred tomtom to connect using either com4 or com5 but it just doesnt work.
Any help in solving this problem would be much appreciated!
Many Thanks!
This for all of you who are still having problems...
This is what i did to get my Tomtom working on my T-mobile MDA Compact:
1. uninstall tomtom using add/remove programs.
2. using file explorer deleted the following folders:
\tomtom
\program files\navigator
\program files\contacts navigation
3. Using a registry editor - browse the software sub-folders of HKEY_CURRENT_USER and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and delete any tomtom, tomtom navigator, and/or tomtom gps/ tomtom bluetooth supprt folders.
(in order to avoid steps 1,2,3 you can also perform a hard reset after you have backed up all your data & files)
4. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> DRIVERS -> BUILTIN -> BTINSerial
5. Now change the index key from 4 to 6.
6. Exit the registry editor.
7. Soft reset your MDA.
8. Now install TTN5
9. After following the initial setup prompts of TTN5 exit it.
10. Now install tomtom nav. 5.1 (update available from the tomtom website)
11. Go back into tomtom and select "change preferences"
12. Go into GPS CONFIGURATION
13. Select Other Bluetooth
14. Select COM5
15. Click Done
16. Give tomtom about 10 seconds and your GPS navigation should now work OK!!!!
Hope this helps everyone who is trying to get this to work. I have spent a lot of time trying to find a solution that works and this i feel is it!
Needless to say use this solution at your own risk - all i can say is that its worked for me!
once installed, use this procedure.

It works 100%

ttn.CAB won't install despite reset
Tried installing TT5.0 on my Vario, but no luck. Like posted before, it won't install ttn.CAB. I tried:
removing all TT files, also from registry
soft reset,
installing gps.CAB,
remove SD,
soft reset,
then install ttn.CAB
but it still says 'installation failed'. Aaarrrggghhhhh
Any ideas, anyone?

TT5 & BT: procedure to install & make it work

Hi,
I just tested successfully the following procedure:
1) install TT5 using .cab files (transfer to the device & run each one)
2) pair BT unit;
3) configure TT5 using "Other Bluetooth GPS", "max baud rate", "com 0";
4) close TT5;
5) copy the navigator.cfg file (in Programs\Navigator on your device) via Activesync to desktop;
6) open the file with wordpad - DO NOT ALTER anything else but COM0 to COM5;
7) close the file;
7b) save the file modified back to the device;
9) Turn on BT reciever;
10) start TT5, wait a few seconds and...voilà !
Cool
I'm glad to see that someone else has tried it and it works for them too.
thanks Italos !!!
Sorry for asking, is this registered TT5 or <you-must-know-what-I-meant> ?
Because I dont have a registered version, but it is working find with my Magician.
Thanks!

I had it working fine on my Magician, just like you
But I have upgraded to a Wizard and the above
process is what I had to do to get it work on the Wizard
Yeah I know that. We are talking about WIZARD.
That's why I use but ... meaning: it (my tomtom) is working fine with my Magician, but I dont know if it will work with WIZARD.
That's why I ask "What kind of tomtom do you use?" ... Registered? Or CRACKED one (like mine, in my Magician).

Makes no difference m8 - the problem seems to be "universal"
It should work if you follow those instructions, you have a BTGPS receiver and whatever install of TT5
Hi Guys,
New on this Forum, bought a Qtek 9100 a few days ago.
Have been struggling since to get tomtom 5 to work with my BT GPS, and
I just wanna say big thx to Italos for the instructions, worked like charm.
One thing though, I still got TomTom 5, I tried to install the 5.1 update and ended up in it saying it can´t find any maps...ok so back in version 5 all that was located in the "\My Documents\TomTom\CurrentMap.dat file. SSo I edited that one to point to my map on the storage card.
Fired up TomTom 5.1 again, and still not working, ok then I was not sure I had a real tomtom5 map, so I tried to extract the map from the TomTom5 DVD, well wen´t fine just to extract the cab, but I then ended up with these files.
00000.poi.010
000cline.006
000faces.004
0mapinfo.005
0traffic.009
SCANDI~1.000
SCANDI~1.007
tmccodes.008
I guess it will work if I extrackt these ones and replace those on my card, but how do I go about it?
I have tried with winrar, and that does not work, anyone who knows which program can extract these files?
thx / fahlis

Before install new release, you must uninstall previous release (see my post in this thread, how to do it)
Sorry bat I've no understand if I must install BCHS_FOR_POCKET_PC_OZONE.ARMV4.CAB before install bluesoleil or it's not necessary... In the first option where I can found this file? Thanks in advance..

This is Bluesoleil drivers bug and cannot be fixed simply.
I just repack original CAB file and write switch utility.
You can add registry fixing gprs, but in this case you cannot Map Drives from WindowsXP PC using Resco Exolorer.
I have tried it be4 u updated the shortcut... and I had to hard-reset my JAM..
I'll give it another try tomorrow.
any way, my questions is... after the installation.. will I be able to send files from the file explorer.. not from the program it self??
I believe Resco FE is not meant to work with this stack, or Am I wrong?
thanks for your effort
I have read the whole thread about the Bluesoil BT stack. Some say it works, its better and others disagree. So what's really the story about this stack?
What's the difference 'tween the bluesoil schtach and this one?

Bluetooth rSAP working (Skoda, Mercedes, BMW)

Hi guys,
Just connected the HD to a new Columbus radio system using rSAP.
First of all, I am not the one who made the .cab file needed, I simply followed the instructions on this site, and fiddled around a bit:
http://briskoda.net/superb-ii/howto...us-rns510-using-non-compatible-mobile/131709/
Here's what I did to get it working:

4) Using file explorer, find "SAP settings" in the windows folder and click it.
5) Go to start => settings => connections => bluetooth and turn on bluetooth and make your device visible.
6) Uncheck the authentication or password box, then check the box that says "remote sim acces"
7) Connect to the radio.
That's all folks
Hope it works for you, please write your findings here.

Question :
What happens to your phone after you leave your car ?
With my diamond, the phone does not login to any network after SAP disconnects , I have to reset the device or turn off/on the phone from the communication manager :-(
Otherwise , it's working fine though

I've got the same problem. It went away for a while and my phone reconnected normally. But recently I had to soft reset my phone and the trouble has started all over again.
Has anyone resolved this issue? I did manage to get it working earlier (but I don't know how), so there must be a resolution to it.

Same here.I installed an Energy rom and connected the phone to car, after i leave the car, the phone doesnt turns on, just need to soft reset it.
On my Touch Dual, i had installed a BT_SAP.cab file, and worked perfectly, everytime i left the car, the phone turned the network on.
Still no solution to Blackstone ?
