I just wanna know, can i use the WM 6.1 ROM presented here to flash my Imate SP3i?
Is there anything i need to know etc regarding the upgrade? Like USPL unlock etc, or can i just go ahead?

I am buying a Wizard (MDA Vario) for an Australian friend of mine that's coming over for a visit and naturally she wants the Wizard in English.
However, I can easily (and very cheaply) get the Dutch version from T-Mobile in the Netherlands since I am renewing my partners contract.
So I guess I need to flash a new WWE rom onto the Dutch T-Mobile...
My questions:
I am aware of the WWE I-Mate Rom that you can download from the club I-Mate ftp site.
1. Is this a good rom - and will it work 100% problem free with the Dutch MDA Vario?
2. Are there any other or better alternatives? any links to other roms? maybe a T-Mobile UK rom or QTEK 9100? which WWE rom is considered the most stable and non sluggish?

However, I am wondering if all works correctly after the upgrade - or are there any loose ends - like an application not running? frequent crashes etc...
I can recommend flashing always. But you have to know what you are doing. Furthermore you void your warranty doing this, so you might want to consider that while you have the chance to make a brick out of the vario.
Things like sim unlocking are easy with it so that shouldn't give you a problem.

I got an unlocked T-Mobile MDA VARIO from the states, which is working fine in my country (UAE), but I can't find an arabic rom for it.
I tried the arabic rom for the imate k-jam, but I came to know it's a different rom which can not be installed on my phone.
I tried the imaginet arabizer, but it's not a rom, it's just an application which eats up the memory, and wipes out if the device is hard-resetted.
I contacted T-Mobile, but they said that they don't have an arabic rom!
What to do?

1) how will I link the arabizer into the coocked rom?
2) I don't know how to cook a rom, but I used to cook them a few years back when I had my qtek 1010 !

1 ) you will extract the arabizer cab files from the imate kjam extended rom and try to mixthem with your tmobile extended rom.

sorry guys, i have one i found - my mistake for being ignorant lol.
i need to update IPL and SPL to V2 .xx for both. how do i go about doing that ? and tutorials and files would be apprecieted

to upgrade to 2.xx, look for the official t-mobile usa 2.26 rom and flash your rom with it. after that you can move to wm6. just make sure that you're phone has been cid unlocked before you start the whole process.
My present Dopod c800 is running 5.3.707.1 WWE.. I have read lot of other threads but got confused.. could someone please tell me what is the easy way to upgrade to WM6.. thanks in advance..

Hi everyone, i'm a very satisfactied italian herald user, but i need some tips..
i got the original rom from htc with Wm6, 4.17.408.2 ita
1) i've, of course, some ram problems, should i change rom? is that safe? I use herald mainly for business, what about all my files, contacts, etc. if i change rom?
2) i'm trying to use my pc lan connection to surf on my herald, but i can't find out how....any tips?

You can upgrade your rom and still use it for business. I would suggest using a stable Herald rom such as one of these:
HERALD.ASerg.WM6.1.WWE
