Hi,
I would like to know where could I dump the music on the sd card so I could see the songs inside the touchflow menu?
Because the memory of the phone can't hardly contain 15 songs...
Storage card --> My documents --> My music
Create folders if they don't exist.
You can store the songs anywhere on the storage card.
I use \Storage Card\Music

Can anyone help me??
As the internal memory on the handset is not huge i store all my sound files on my 16GB memory card.
Is there anyway i can set my ringtones to include the playing of files from my memory card??
The only way i can get them to play as a ringtone is by placing them in the ringtone folder on the handset but space is very limited.
Thanx
Andy.

You can put your ringtones in the Storage Card/My Documents/My Ringtones folder and they will be available in the sounds and notifications settings. However for sms you can only use wma files by default on storage card or you can put any mp3 files to /Application Data/Sounds, but that is the internal storage again.
hello everyone,
i searched everywhere and the only thing i found was how to refresh the music library in TF3D by deleting the files in application data folder..
BUT my Question is how can i choose a specific folder for the music player in the TF3D Music Tab?!
because i have a lot of ringtones and audio records files on my storage card and i want the music tab to only show the files in my /storage card/my music folder..not the whole storage card
Please help as this is really driving me crazy

make a folder on the sd card name My Music, that should work
Not possible Unless someone finds a way to edit it in the manila files. It just searches the storage card for all media. So my suggestion to you would be to have all the other audio on your internal storage or use another player. I don't even use the TF3D player. I used to think it was all awesome, but screw it, S2P and CorePlayer ftw! WMP is good, no doubt. If you want a really good player, buy Conduits Pocket Player

Any work around to this issue?
Yeah does anyone know?
It's picking up the mp3 from my Nimbuzz folder and other program folders, i have a Music folder but it picks everything.
Well after weeks of waiting I finally got my Leo. One problem I am having is the system indexing my music files. I have about 4GB on a 16GB card it takes ages finally when it indexes it has incuded hundreds of phone recordings. I use resco recorder which records every call I make.
The manual says:
Your phone searches for all supported music files from the following locations:
Phone: \My Music (including all subfolders)
\My Documents (including all subfolders)
Storage Card: \Storage Card (including all subfolders)
Is there any way to stop it searching a folder on the SD card ??
Any help greatly appreciated.
+1 for this
There's a registry entry that declares a folder which is not scanned by Audio Manager. It is:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\AudioManager_Eng\Config:ring_tone_path
By default it would be "\My Documents\My ringtones\" (don't know for sure, I'm on a dutch ROM atm). You can change this to another location if you like, but I it won't take a location on your storagecard, unfortunately. It means you will have to keep ring-tones in the device memory. For me this is no problem because I only carry a few dozen tones with me.
Hey guys, I was wondering if there is anyway of setting only a particular folder to play music from on the storage card. The Sense music player is picking up every audio format e.g. ringtones and playing them???
all i did was create a folder on my mem card called music and my ringtones are on phone mem and music tab didnt find them
Thanks. I thought this was the case, but I have a lot of mp3 ringtones assigned to contacts and moving them all over to the phone memory just wouldn't be viable.
thare are serval discusions on that, around here. actually there is no way from stoping the music tab to play all sondfiles it find on the storage card (or at least only play a single folder). there are serval registry key and stuff but it looks that the music tab is ignoring them and do what it like to do.
mad
you could trim your ring tones or lower the quality of the file depending how many you have and if you can be bothered or just create a playlist and exclude the ringtones that prob the quickest option
Use a file explorer to make all the folders you don't want the Music Player to see, hidden. The phone will still see all of the ringtones etc... but they won't show up in the Media Player. It worked for me.....
sorry for bumping an old thread, I put songs into my SD card in the Music tab, I find WAZE nav sounds ( in mp3), what should I do so the Nav mp3's are not shown in the Music tab?
I haven't been able to find a way to tell Google Music to use my SD card for downloading/ cacheing music.
Is there anything I can do to get Google Music to use my SD card for music storage?

You can use Rom Toolbox to create a shortcut of the directory you want music to be stored to in the /data/data/com.google.android.music/files/ folder. Make sure you rename the shortcut "music"
