I am using Pocket Informant on my Cingular 8125 and the list box that is supposed to contain a list of available ringtones to assign to a specific Contact is empty on half the contacts. Some contacts have the ringtones list and on some it is blank. I can not figure out a difference between the contacts that would cause this. Anyone else have this problem and figure out a solution?
If you select a contact, and select edit, @ the top of the screen, is an option 'Add Field To Editor'. Select this, then select Ring Tone. Now, at the bottom of the screen is the available field! Unfortunately, you have to do this for every contact you wish to have other than the default ring tone...
Hope this helps!
I did that. The problem is that the ringtone list is empty on about half the contacts - and I can not figure out why.
Hey guys, I am using the Pocket Informant as well, and I have a problem I wanted to see if either one of you figured it out. I cant get the calendar to link to my left softkey on my 8125? I see some posts about it around, but I still have not figured it out. Also, I dont really like the contacts in Pocket Informant, but that links to the Right Softkey, I would like it to use the normal contacts, as opposed to pocket informants. So basically do either of you guys know how to change the links to the softkeys.
Thanks
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\112
or
113.
Simply change it from Calendar.exe to Calendar.lnk and that should fix it.
hello guys,
I have a question with the SPB gui. So for the contacts I added someone I barely call to the quick call panel section, how do I remove this person from the group of panels? Not sure what you call it actually but if you click on contacts from the main screen, its the screen with the contacts that you assign to each panel with a picture(if you have a picture of that person). Thanks.
Point and hold down the finger on the contact you want to remove and a menu will pop up. There you can choose to delete the contact.
wow thanks a lot!
In D2 there are 2 different forms of call history representations:
1. Simple Call History. You get there from home screen, tapping on Call History line. You get 3 buttons below, Call History (with options to show all, missed, outgoing, received using submenu), All Contacts, Favorites.
2. Advanced Call History. You get there when there is missed call, and you click on notify bar, then in notification manager - on "you have X missed calls" line.
In this list you see 4 buttons below, allowing quick filtering (missed, outgoing, received, all).
Simple or Advanced are mine inventions, I have to do something to tell them apart ...
So the question is: how can I change behavior of Call History line on home screen, so it will open Advanced Call History (which is much easier to use), instead of Simple Call History ?

Thats really something I would like to have too!
I agree, it would be great to change this.
Your "simple" call history is the TF3D version, whereas "advanced" is the standard WM6 version. Unfortunately, I haven't found any way to turn off only selected parts of the TF3D interface. Must be in the registry somewhere. Maybe someone out there has more ideas?

Yup, I like the "advanced" one also better. Any progress in this topic?
Me too, anyone?
Looks like not too many people are interested in this!
Just discovered something interesting.
During a call, bring up the dialer keypad on the screen (by pressing the button). Now, if you swipe your finger across the blank white space to the left, you'll bring up the WM6 style quick dial list, and if you swipe to the right you'll bring up the WM6 style call history.
Not sure why this works, but it does. Doesn't help much with our initial query though!
For what it's worth, I'm using the Dusk dialer.
Um... found a way of getting the other "advanced" call history to come up... by mistake, and it is a little convoluted! I have SK tools installed and in SK tools set a shortcut up for the "Close Tasks" feature, I then set my call button to access the Close Tasks shortcut, using the "buttons" option under the standard rom settings tab. Now when i use that shortcut by pressing and holding the call button, it closes all the tasks then jumps to the elusive "advanced" missed calls screen!
Odd, not a fix for everyone as it means closing all your other software to open the screen but thought it may be of interest!

As you all know there is a favorites tab in the phonebook.
So i had a few people in there,
but now i want it out of there.
so i tap-hold and tap remove from favorites.
Now the contact moves down to the top of the frequently called list.
And 10 seconds later, the #[email protected]@^phone puts the contact back in the favorites list!!!!!!!!!
Why!??!?!
I don't what that.. i should be able to decide what goes in the favorites list, not the phone..
Does anybody have a reason why the phone is being so stubborn?
The Contacts software in HTC used to have a "categories" tab that I can select to view contacts in specific categories. But after a while the tab is gone and now I can't even access the categories function altogether.
Can anybody help with this issue?
the tab that you have missing from the bottom bar is call history, not categories.
To get categories, , from the 'all' page click menu - filter and it lists all teh possible categories.
I don't know why your call history tab has vanished, very strange.

But I remember that I once had a tab which shows my categories, and when I click in one of the categories I have the options to send SMS to all the contacts in that category or to view individual contacts.
The call history tab is still there, in the HTC dialer. The picture I'm showing is the Contact List when I press the left soft button in the dialer.
Yep, thats the one, , , green send button - all contacts - slide to right end tab gives me call history.

to get categories i click menu - filter
