Invalid missing SIM card - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

Hello.
I am a complete newbie. Own 8125 CIngular. Worked fine, I switched to T-mobile, unlocked it with lockiwiz 3a (thanks, machinagod). It worked great until I for some reasons had to pull the battery out. It quit recognizing sim in ther - any sim - old Att or new TM. IT is G3 phone, had 2.25 IPL/SPL. I flashed to TM 2.26 (per all the guides here), gsm 02.25.11, Everything loads up great except for the phone part - It's still "missing or invalid sim" What do I do? Please, help Thanks a lot in advance

did you try following the unlock procedure again?

try to move sim a little bit.. maybe it's displaced?
That what happened to me.
Good luck!

To echo the post above mine, I had that same problem at one point, and just taking the SIM card out and putting it back in solved the problem.

I faced a similar problem when I went to another country and used a local sim of that country. I kept putting the phone in 'airplane mode' for 5 minutes and when got that 'airline mode' off, it worked. Cumbursome but it worked.

Data crashes help, Please!! MDA Vario

Morning all,
I need help please gents, last night I attempted to sim unlock my MDA Vario (tmob), I used lokiwiz ver 2, but now it is simlocked completely, it also reads on start up "data crashes, contact service provider". Was working flawlessly on Tmobile before this.
I'm sure its a gen 3 as the ipl/spl is 1.06, I have tried using the new version of lokiwiz to fix it but it will not go away (unless I take sim out of course! )
In my desperation to get it fixed last night I even paid £20 to imei-check.co.uk, but they need to verify that I am who i say I am?! By sending a scan of a bill? At this point I have not received any contact from them.
Can someone please help me get this to accept sims again, any help will be much appreciated .
Thanks in advance guys.
Andy
Try once more to downgrade your phone to the 1.05_CUSTOM_ROM, then use lokiwiz02b and perform the SIM unlock again STEP-BY-STEP without having your SIM card in there! See if that works!
Thanks Junner, will try when I get home from work.
Should I have taken out sim before attempting unlock intially?
Thanks
Andy
No, it normally does not effect the unlocking process!
What I do wonder is the following: Do you use a different SIM than the phone's ROM was made for? It is highly unusual that the SIM lock will effect the card it was originally locked to!
here is the problem similar to yours
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=258739&page=3
i got it solved by paying 38$ using
http://www.imei-check.co.uk
Thanks all for all your help,
I tried again but it does not work, I guess I will have to wait for imei-check to get back to me, unless anyone else has any other suggestions?
Thanks again all
Andy

really annoying simcard fail

Heya,
I bought a 2th hand MDA pro in working order. I used it for a day or 2 when a problem appeared in the form of a Missing simcard message, out of nothing. I took the simcard out cleaned it and put it back in and it worked again, a few hours later the same error showed I cleaned the sim again booted up the phone and error was still there this went on for 4 times before I got it working again.
I started to search forums about this problem en stumbled upon a few suggesting that the sim holder was flacky and a piece of paper between the battery and card would work.
I did this and on first it looked like it was fixed because it ran for a day before it got back.
By now I changed the simcard -no success- I flashed the phone with 4 different roms including the original one - no success-
I'm running out of ideas with this does anyone had the same problem or are there any suggestions of what it might be?
Please help!

I have had this error before, but usually as a result of a build incompatability. I would suggest you try 2 things. re flash the radio to a different version 1.15 or 1.18 & try using Tomal's 8.2 ROM. Also try a SIM card (borrow one from a friend)from another service provider.

I know this is a really annoying problem, I had it with my Nokia E61 before (and still). After a week of sim registration failures, I decided to switch to another phone, (universal). I didn't got any solutions really, one is force the phone into gsm only, and uncheck confirm smscheck if possible.

Need Help: the sim card is missing

Hi,
i've new problem with my S300+!
Yesterday my phone worked well, today I see the following message:
"The SIM card is missing. You can still make emergency calls if your service provider supports it".
I tried to switch the sim card to another phone and the sim works correctly, then i tried to put another TIM sim card on the s300+ and the message is showing too.
What's happened?
Originally the s300+ was SIM locked for SFR sim. But when i bought it, it was unlocked to sim free.
Two weeks ago i've upgraded the radio rom to latest version.
Reading the other device's forum, i've saw that problem may be an hardware problem. How can check if the problem is caused by hardware ?
Can I try to re-unlock the phone? or it is effectless?
Thanks in Advance!
can you try a SFR sim in the phone?
see if it works on that sim.
do you know the person you got the phone from?
how was the phone unlocked?
you could try unlocking the phone again.
I can't try a sfr sim!
I'm in Italy and I've bought the phone in France.
I don't kown the person that have sell the phone, and i don't kown ho the phone was unlocked.
I know that the phone works well for 3 weeks and then not!
I 'm tring to reunlock the phone.
if you do a search on this forum you will find the files needed to sim unlock your phone.
when you have done, may be your phone will be ok again.
On the down side to that may be the person that sold you the phone has reported it lost or stolen and its been blocked/locked if that is the case i dont know what you can do.
I have just unlock the phone, but nothing is changed!!!!
I've also checked my imei on this site:
http://www.amta.org.au/default.asp?Page=405
and it not seems reported as lost or stolen...
I bought a S300+ (SFR Locked) in January 2008 and I unlocked by myself using tools found on this board, it still work fine but with a Vodafone Italy SIM, but sometimes I use a TIM Sim too.
I don't think that your is a lock problem, from the message you get at the powerup sound like an hardware problem but you should try an hardware reset how last option if you didn't it before.
I've made an hard reset, but nothing happens!
Also I've tried to flash a new roms (an italian rom and the original rom), but was not the solution!
I'm not sure where is the problem, because the phone worked well for about 3 weeks, than suddenly shows the missing sim card message....
IS there a site to verify if the imei is blocked? i've try www.ama.org.au
Is There a program or a tool to verify the integrity of hardware, especially for ths sim hardware? or a datasheet of sfr 300+?
I've had the same problem on my trinity and it turned out that I needed a new sim card because the old one burned out after four years of use. This may or may not be your problem.
I solved my problem by inserting a little paper between the SIM and the support lol

Sim card not detected

Hey, I've had my Moto X Pure (XT1575) for a bit over a year now, and it's been great up until I updated it to 7.0 a week ago. It has been saying "No SIM card" and I have been unable to do much with it. Rebooting the phone will fix the issue and cell service will work for for about 5 minutes, then it disconnects again. Taking the sim card out and putting it back in will also fix it for about 5 minutes. I have cleaned the sim card and port, but that has not helped. I have also tried factory resetting the phone but the issue is still there, even during setup. The phone is running stock android with a locked bootloader. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Replace the SIM card...
Check if another SIM card is working fine with the phone or not. If yes, then you need to follow what acejavelin has suggested above.
