I'm looking for a good professional calculator wich i can use on the universal in landscape and in normal mode.
THX
1Calc
1Calc is pretty good but slow to start up. It works well in portrait or landscape.
Skins are available.
Lots of features.
Works much faster from memory than a card and if you turn the scroll feature off.
Have a look at SpaceTime 2.0. It is professional and not only a calculator.

I like Lygea products. I use Pocket 15C SE which is an HP 15C emulator. You may prefer the 12C version or the 10B if you're more in to the financial or business needs.
I like RDCalc too but it does not support landscape.
Another alternative is Calc98 at http://www.calculator.org/download.html. It is fast and free and has many, many functions.

I'm using PocketCalc, below, for my QTEK9000

OK, just changed to HiCalc, here:-

Pls., recommend a simple good looking in VGA mode calculator.
The installed one doesn't look good. I have also tried 1-Calc of Omegaone, but in VGA mode it doesn't strech itself.

I use Calc98 by Flow Simulation. Requires tweaking the view settings to enlarge the keybord, but it ends up being very finger-friendly. I can supply the settings I use if anyone wants them.
I am long-time used of HP12C - the World's best ever calculator for finance geeks like me. Thankfully it is also available in WM land - called Pocket 12C SE
Robert
I use HiCalc. It has diferent modes and VGA friendly, even works with Real VGA at 96 dpi.
Yea HiCalc has my vote too, it comes with loads of applications, currency converter, units converter to your hearth content..loads, and looks OK in VGA
After some extensive search and trials, I had chosen HiCalc. If anyone has tried it but chosrn a different calculator, I'd been interested to know. I'm open minded to even better ones.
did anyone find a calculator suited for vga 96dpi?i hate the bundled calcultor and my favorite 1calc lite is way too small.thanx

Try Hicalc. It is very comprehensive. One calculator for arithmetic, science, business, geometry, conversion, etc etc. Works in all three dpi. The only minor flaw being that it leaves a gap at the top in 128 and 96 dpi. This is my most preferred calculator.

Or for a freeware one (which I use) try Calc98 from here.
http://mobile.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=164
or, if you like HP calculators the ones by Lygea all work well at 96dpi
I find the built in calculator of very poor quality.
Where can i find a replacement?
I've found PocketCalc to be the best one, although it's not full screen (only VGA)
Have a look at iss Calculator Suite. It handles WVGA as well.
You may use manila vga skin if u want to change look. it looks much better.
i use the hp48 calc emulator it's great
Being an Engineer, I love my HP calculators!!!
Here is another HP calc by CreativeCreek

Hi all,
I'm about to get my HD2, and I've been trying to track down a list of recommended apps for the handset. I've seen all the tweaks listed on XDA and so on, but I was looking for something more in the way of programs that would enable a better experience on the HD2. For a brand new phone, what would be recommended? Some I've picked up already, such BSB Tweaks, but what else could ppeople suggest?
Thanks!
David
Hi!
One thing in upfront. Please be gentle to your new beloved HD2 ;-)
You can use search and in the theme and application thread but here is some I use and don't wanna miss on my HD2 in future....
Resco File explorer (best explorer ever)
Core Player
Skyfire (for embedded flahs)
SPB Backup
Nimbuzz / Skype
BSBTweak as you said...
TomTom
Cheers,
LEE
hi Lee, i,m not brilliant with this sort of thing, where do I find Tom Tom and how do I apply it to my phone, hope you can help me
cheers aby
Hi there,
Thanks for your reply. What is a good program for doing the registry tweaks? I know Resco can do it, but what are the other options? What is a good program for backing up and restoring Data? What other suggestions do users have for a new phone?
Thanks!
David

Alternative to Resco Registry wourld be PHMRegEdit (free) but Resco is really a musthave !!!
For Backups i recommend SPB Backup (Best one in my opinion). Full Backups, PIM-Backups, Self-selected Backups etc etc
Rather than ask for random lists of 'best programs' you would be better using your new HD2 for a while and then seeing what you would like to add.
There are many thousands of programs out there, and there is probably no software class or profession that isn't catered for in some way.
As the previous posters have said, a good backup program (Spb or Sprite, with Spb being the better one at present), a better file manager (Resco or TotalCommander), a better media player (Coreplayer), an automated profile switcher (SBSH Phoneweaver) etc, etc.
But, try it 1st, out of the box. It may well do all you need
I´ve got TOMTOM 7, Torch (flashlight) and the most cool things is clear backgrounds, so that i can see my wallpaper better.
Searching: Core Player, Need 4 Speed, and a guide to use total comander.
If you're a Twitter user then I recommend Twikini - http://www.trinketsoftware.com/twikini/

Where can you actually buy TomTom Navigator 7? Not from Tom Tom, it seems.
moTweets, Swype, NoData.
Core Player
Skyfire (for embedded flahs)
Nimbuzz
BSBTweak
Garmin Mobile
Google Maps
Facebook (even with its limitations I prefer it to browser for 'quick looks')
Shazam
Run.gps
Pocket Scrobbler
Smabergs bluetooth/wifi toggle
Crayon Physics
Electopia/Xtract/Pangya
Zenonia (if you like old school RPGs)
FPSece
Thanks all for your help. Will use it for a bit and see what more I need as suggested. Can't wait to get it later today!

Cool! I didn't know about that one.
At work, I have my phone connected all the time - and I always thought it would be great to be able to control it from the computer.
Can you also type your SMSes with computer keyboard?
total commander, pocket rar,pim backup are also very handy.
Hi all, thanks again for all your help. Just got my new HD2 now - it's sitting in its box - I can't wait to open it!
