Hi.
I'm introducing an awsome application made by Samsung.
Its name is SnapNGo.
There are two files which are sng_setup.exe and SnapNGo.apk.
SnapNGo.apk is installed on your device and sng_setup.exe is on your PC.
In order to use them, those two machines must be online.
After installation both of them, turn on the Snap N' Go file in your PC.
And then turn on the SnapNGo application in your device as well.
You must see the camera screen.
Default setting is "from PC to Device".
If you want to pull a file out from PC, just take its photo.
Put the file icon in the middle of Camera's focusing box and press shoot button.
That's all. Your file will be located in /sdcard/SnapNGo/
Here's the attachment's link. It's 9.07MB zipped.

A sad thing is that it doesn't work on Froyo, at least with mine.
edit : Oh my god.. there is the place where I should've written down this kind of thread.
I'm sorry, how can I move this to there?
HAHAH !!! it works
This a really nice app thanks buddy

from PC to your device : I think any files are available. I haven't tested all files but there were nothing I couldn't send. e.g. apk, zip, txt etc..
from I9000 to PC : there are only a few files supported. jpgs or something.
PC client crash on Windows 7 x64.
At least on mine :/

Don't suppose an x64 version was available? (I did try to find the page but couldn't)
You may want to try SwiFTP, it does ftp over wifi. It's a 1 click setup and you can then access it with any machine on the network. Super fast and easy.
many thanks for this helpfull program, which works perfictily ob the latest orange froyo 2.2.
however, there is newer addition of it, if some one can bring it to us, that would be great.

Is it possible to use nexus 7 as a webcam online ? Websites don't seem to see the camera or mic ? Is there a hack or app that will fix this ?
I would love to see this!
Go to the Play Store and get IP Webcam. This will stream video for you.

I want to use tablet as a webcam not stream video , that app dose nothing like that . Thanks tho
Not sure what you really want
You asked for an app that will allow the use of the Nexus 7 as a webcam on the Internet. If you are not streaming video, how are you going to use it?
With the app mentioned, it makes the output of the front facing camera available for access on your LAN or via the Internet assuming you setup your router properly. And webcam reading software works fine with it.
The camera is poor for that type of use for two reasons. 1) it is facing forward not out the back, and 2) it is not a very high resolution camera. Unless you were placing this somewhere in a fixed position, it is very hard to control as it ends up with an upside down image and is hard to point.
You can see it using webcam capture programs like tinyCam monitor from another device. It doesn't provide audio output.
If that is not what you are asking for, you need to provide a better description.
Screen capture of the output of the app mentioned above from a windows box using Active Webcam attached.

You need a chat app on your device then... not a webcam app.
I don't use MSN anything so I am not familiar with it or what that service provides, but something like

might be a start.

Trying to get Chat Roulette going, eh? Just kidding. I don't think websites will work and you probably need an app.

I've visited a website that uses HTML5 instead Flash or Silverlight for their video on my GNote, and it worked with the built-in cameras. I don't recall the name of the website, but it was a chatroulette-like tech demo for HTML5. Once people start switching away from Flash we'll start seeing this more. It's pretty rare at the moment.

So, no luck for chatroullet users on nexus 7 ? That's a downer ...
If anyone come up with a solution for the chatroullet fans, I would apreciate the reply.
Thanks

Theres another app called droidcam wireless webcam. You download a desktop program to go along with the app. It works through wifi or usb, I used it through usb about a year and a half ago. From there, i ran it through manycam, which is a virtual webcam program, by selecting it as the video feed. At that point, it should work with any program and internet website...such as chatroullet . You should just select manycam as your default camera and it should work. I used it with skype though, so i cant verify if it works or not..but in theory it should.
Again, i keep saying should, because it might not work right away. It definitely took a bit of play with the settings (and lots of unplugging and replugging) before i got it to be functional. I'll be able to test it tomorrow night if you didnt get it up and runing, as i am currently on vacation.
cheers

EDIT: sorry, i misread this post. I cant help you with that one, but if you wanted to use it as an external computer webcam...see above .
Using IP Webcam, this is easy to do...
Download the latest Manycam program. In sources, select your ip webcam,( http://192.168.1.129:8080/videofeed )(example)
In your chat program select Manycam as the source.
That's going through windows, as far as using the nexus 7 by
Itself, its not possible.
Seems a lot of people are not familiar with this service.
Google offers a free service through which you can print from your tablet wirelessly to any printer connected to your computer. It is pretty simple.
1. Download Chrome Browser on your desktop.
2. Go to Advanced Settings Link in Settings.
3. Scroll down to "Google Cloud Print"
4. Click "Manage Print Settings...", and pretty much follow the instructions from there.
Then on your tablet,
1. Download "PrinterShare" from Play Store.
2. Follow instructions. When given the option you will choose Cloud Printer.
3. Print by sharing your document with your PrinterShare. Works best if you share it as an image file.
4. You can adjust the layout of the printed document just prior to printing.
That's it.
Yeah. You can use print share mobile too. I find the interface a tad better and while it does have a pay portion there is no limit for charge for printing through Google cloud print with it. However I've never paid attention to if you can print through the share option with this as I normally save the file then print it.
I've almost got myself talked into a Samsung printer to print directly from snotes.
Edit: just checked and you can print via share as well.
Yeah the share thing is helpful because you can obviously print directly from websites. It also compresses the website into a .pdf for you prior to printing.
Sent from my GT-N8013 using Tapatalk 2
Just checked snotes and it looks like you can print via share from there if you choose share as an image file. The hand written notes only take up 1/4 of a normal piece of paper this way though. Not sure about anything else like drawings.

Oh really? Cool will have to check that.
** Just make sure your desktop computer isnt sleeping or it wont work. For me notes took up whole page.
Ok i see. If you use the Printer Share app then yeah it prints them small. However, if you want to print multiple pages you have to use Printer Share. The Cloud Print app only works on individual pages.
OK, If using PrinterShare you can select "printer options" then "size to page" and notes will fill entire page
Yeah PrinterShare definitely the way to go here.

Epson has Epson iPrint as a free app in the Play store. It works with a bunch of their printers, including mine. I can print straight from my tablet to the printer - without going through the Internet or another computer.
And I can scan straight from my printer (it's an all-in-one) to my tablet, too.
So, when shopping for a new printer, maybe check to see if the manufacturer has an Android app like what Epson has. Or get an Epson. Supporting manufacturers directly, who are supporting Android, seems like a good idea to me.
Thanks. Good heads up on that.

Try PrinterShare, it is a more robust app.
I installed Cloud Print last night on my GN 10.1 and it is working fine. But I can't figure out how to print anything from either Office Suite or Polaris Office. Doesn't seem to be a way to send the files anywhere, Any ideas?

In Polaris Office open the File Browser at the bottom left. Check mark the file you wish to print. Then click the solid black arrow at the stop right and choose Printer Share to print it.
In Office Suite you can share a document by going to the folders view and checkmarking the documents you wish to print then clicking the Share button at the top right. Then just select your Printer Share app from the list and you are good to go.

Really the best and easiest way to do that without emulation is to get a mhl cable assuming your device supports it. Then you'll have a mirrored connection on your pc monitor or TV if you want and can use it like your phone.

As far as I've seen on SockteQ's page and product brochure, it is targeted to tablets, and not for trivial smartphones (i.e. gives a view of an Android tablet screen in the prog window). Their efforts are great, but there's no clue for the trivial handsets user.
This is pretty cool. You can mirror your Note on your PC and control it using your PC's keyboard and mouse. It's a great way of editing and reviewing S Notes on your PC while they are still in native form on the Note. It connects either over USB (with debugging turned on) or over Wi-Fi.
Here's the desktop app...

Here's the Play store app for the Note...

I can confirm this works well with the Note 10.1, thanks for the heads-up. :good:
Edit: You have to download the APK from their website as the market version reports it is incompatible with the Note. The downloaded version has the correct skin for the note.
Great app but it`s not showing the proper skin for me (downloaded and installed the apk from their site version 1.0.1.26).

The desktop app reads the device's model number when it connects. I have a N8000 and it worked fine. It also worked for my N7100. I don't know about the N8010/13 or non-international versions of Samsung's devices. The company that built the app is in Germany and probably doesn't know the N8013 even exists (as well as Samsung phones with carrier specific model numbers).
Well it`s woking fine with my note2 (n7100) too and showing with the proper skin. I have the n8000 but for some reason it`s not showing the proper skin. Anyway as long as it`s working ..... Thx for the great recommendation!

Maybe downloading the apk from the link provided early instead of downloading it from Google Play will still have WIFI available??

After you install it on the device and start it, it asks you if you want to download the wireless module (APK) to use it over Wi-Fi. Still works for me. Once it's set up, all you need to do is start the desktop app and it automatically finds and starts the app on the device if its connected to Wi-Fi.
