I found this at PPCGEEKS. Can someone be brave enough to install and let me know how it is different than 9.33?

I try and i tell you the news...
this is v9.5 build 405, it runs faster than v9.0 build 331 but smart-fit function is still for VGA only, hoping final version will support QVGA!

Can it be uninstalled?
no, but don't worry because when installing a new version, it will be uninstalled automatically!
Any notable speed performance??

Tried it - still very slow on my Trinity WM6 compared to opera mini. Also I encountered many freezes of the ppc and had t soft reset.
Maybe it's not meant to be used on qvga screens at all.
Will still wait for the final release.
I downloaded it, but it wouldn't open on my Kaiser.
Faster - but doesnt zoom out all the way which is a bit of a pain.
Uninstall
Guys...try this thread.

Try typing "about:config" in the address field (without the quotes)
and you can customize maaaaaaaaaaaaany settings including screen
size with Adaptive Zoom Settings. So you optimze it for QVGA Portrait
or Landscape screen. You can also change Cache Location and much more!!
Olioaglio
wow I didnt even know about that - Do you have any recommended settings for qvga. To me it seems like the fonts are perhaps wrong.
update...
Guys I posted a new CAB with uninstaller. Also posted qVGA version. Enjoy!
Autowrap
Guess there isn't any auto wrap of text or fitting to page like in mini?
To get this version set up properly type opera:config into the address bar. Then go to Adaptive Zoom hit default for everything except "Virtual Screen Width" put this to 960. This will set it to the same settings as 9.0 v.331. I'm still playing around with this setting to see if I can get QVGA screens to do the smart zoom to text like on OperaMini.

You you can change many settings there including Adaptive zoom, however that is only PART of the solution to getting Opera to properly fit to screen on a QVGA device.
These VGA optimized versions limit the paragraph width to VGA dimensions... not QVGA ones... It is possible to make some adjustments to the adaptive zoom settings to compensate for this.. but for many sites it is not enough. We need to be able to adjust the limit on the paragraph width... like it does in Opera Mini.
I know this could not be done in the config section of Opera Mobile 9.33 ....can it be done in 9.405? There is an option to turn the "limit paragraph width" on and off, but not to adjust the actual width.

Surur
I usually use the zoom slider in Opera to adjust the zoom level slightly for a certain site such as this forum. As soon as I click a link the new page opens in maximum zoomed out mode however.
Is there some way that I can lock the zoom level so to say so that it will stay the same when I browse around on a certain site (or always)?
Good one, bump.
re
hi,
try to find solution in opera config mode. just open opera browser, type in address bar: opera:config
u will see config mode.
happy holidays
I know about opera config mode and have not found any setting there that can accomplish this. The only thing I can set from there is the "Minimum Overview Zoom" which will affect the default first zoom level for all pages I visit.
What I want to do is zoom in slightly using the zoom slider when on certain sites and then "lock" that zoom level while still on the same site. An ideal solution would be if you could have some configuration file where you could specify the "Minimum Overview Zoom" per domain you visit.
Very good would also be if Opera provided some kind of API for their browser. Then this and other similar issues would be easily fixed by the community.
Morning, have changed the "minium overview zoom" to 85 and i still have to zoom in to open a link?! Is there another setting?? Oh and what should minimum zoom be set at as ive changed this? Thanks
Paul.
When you change zoom settings in Opera 10 and exit the menu notice how it zooms in/out smoothly after changing it to the new setting? Seems like the zoom factor is controlled by a value in the memory of the program. Wouldn't it be possible to change the value present in memory by using multi touch to write a new value?
not sure if this will work for opera but it's definitely a start >http://www.xda-developers.com/windows-mobile/zooomer-enables-pinch-to-zoom-for-htc-hd2/ I have seen pinch to zoom somewhere else but I can recall at the moment. If I remember, I will post here again. Good luck.
just download bsb tweaks in the omakret
You can use BSB Tweaks or Zoomer to get pinch and zoom. While its not an ideal pinch and zoom it works.
I have the TMOUSA HD2, latest stock ROM. (I assume the Opera is the same in both versions. If not, this thread can be moved to the TMOUSA HD2 forum.)
Regarding the built-in Opera 9.
I think zoom used to work in it--pinch-to-zoom, I forget if I also got a zoom bar, or tap to zoom.
Now though, I see no way to zoom in it. Pinch to zoom does not work in it any more, tap or double-tap does not zoom, and I see no zoom toolbar, or zoombar, nothing of the sort.
What happened? How can I fix it?
I cannot pinpoint exactly when the problem started, to know what I might have installed or configured, that broke the Opera 9 zoom.
I have installed the latest Opera 10, just to try it out. (Not to replace Opera 9.) Might the installation of Opera 10 have broke the zoom in Opera 9? Has that happened to others?
In any case, how can I get zoom back in Opera 9? (Hopefully more than one way.) Are there registry keys I should look at, that govern the zoom functionality?
Thanks in advance.
-----------------
PS--I just looked at where both pinch-zoom and zoom bar should be enabled in the registry-
HKLM\Software\Opera\Defaults
According to how they are set, both those types of zoom should be working.
Both PinchAndZoomEnable and ZoomSliderEnable are both set to 1.
Yet, neither works. Could there be some other registry value somewhere that is interfering with the zoom functions of Opera 9?
