urgent...! gprs htc elf vodafone unlock need...!

hi everybody... i'm quite ignorant about technic stuff.. so be patiente
i need urgent help unlocking the gprs on my new htc elf from vodafone...
can someone be so kind to help me?

how to simunlock my pharos 100 ?

its locked to orange french operator ! else simunlocking it using provider unlock code is there another way to unlock it for free ?

in one wekk i will get my hd2 from vodafone.
does somebody know if they are sim locked?
if yes how can i unlock them ?
can i flash a custom rom on it ?
