I'm trying to find solutions to streaming my Windows Media Center content to my Windows Mobile 6.1 Diamond via wireless web. There seems to be ways to do it, but am having troubles getting it setup. Currently I'm trying WebGuide 4, but it doesn't want to load on Opera Mini or IE.
Anyone have any luck with this platform or any other ideas on how to do this?? Specifically I'd like to stream recorded video from my home desktop.
Thanks

Hi,
I am used to receive TV Transport or Program Streams via ethernet or WiFi from every computer in my home from my satellite receiver.
Has anyone here heard of a solution for pdas?
OK, OK vncview via a WinDOOFs-computer would do - but...
Any idea?
THX in advance

tcpmp can play webstreams, it can open some files which have urls hashed, check out the programfeatures for which ones exactly. I've played a couple of webstream in the past with it.
wouldn't mind seeing a ppc version of vlc though. Nice to see some competition.
How about winmediaencoder(PC) + winmediaplayer(PPC)
Videolan is better you can find it on www.videolan.org
Note: for windows media encoder you will have to have a propper hardware for doing brodcast.

Hi,
It seems that I am pretty stupid. I couldn't manage to get vlc working BUT Pocket Streamer Pro work without problems from the start.
I was thinking that the hardware of my S100 couldn't support vlc because the video stream started but stopped after a few seconds but if it work with Pocket Streamer Pro, I don't know.
Some advice please ?
Thanks
I am currently trying to figure out how to stream Windows Media Videos (wmv) wirelessly on my Mogul.
Here are the details:
1.) The wmv is broadcast from Window Media Encoder 9 running on a PC running win2000.
2.) I am able to open the URL and view the wmv using another pc.
3.) I am also able to open the URL and view the wmv on my Mogul, which has WM6 and WMP Mobile 10, but only using WIFI.
HERE'S THE PROBLEM:
If I disconnect from WIFI, and try to connect using Sprint EVDO, I can't connect to the URL....
Anyone have any ideas about how to get the Mogul, with WM6, using WMP Mobile 10, to connect to my URL to view the wmv?
Has anyone experienced this issue?
or Does anyone know of another application, besides WMP Mobile 10, that will play wmv from a URL?
Thanks
Is it possible to stream videos/images/music from your PC to your diamond in a similar way the Xbox 360 does.
The Xbox uses the windows shared folders to pass data over the WI-FI network connection. It would be great to sit in an other room in the house and listen to my full MP3 libary on my PC through my diamond.
Is this possible? I have searched the forum and haven't seen anything else like this, sorry if I missed it.
Thanks.
you can try the new 'Orb 2.0' or the 'WinAmp Remote' programs and they wrok fine, you have to sign on thru the website, and you;; be able to access it that way, i tried it but it was sorta choppy and slow.... If anyone knows a better way to do so, please let me know. I have a HP Media Vault and would love to know if anyone knows a way to stream directly from there, and not have to bypass it thru my PC. Any help would be appreciated. Hope that helps, OP!!!!
yeah, you can do it with coreplayer
Orb's good, I stream video and audio through it, works well
Orb + codecs installed = Fluent video, no lag
how did you make it to play the videos with orb?
my opera browser always quits working when i try to play a video from orb...
I use HTC Network Tool to access my shared files from my computer on my phone over WIFI Network and then use tcpmp to listen to music, watch video's, view photo's, read documents.... works pretty good for me on HTC Touch Elfin
hi
is it possible to use an adapter to transfer the displayed content on a beamer, a tv or something else? I know that there exists usb-2-vga-adapters, but the question is: do they work and can you send f.e. movies or powerpoint-pres. to an external device?
thanks in advance

Search !!!
I searched for "vga", "tv", "vga-out" and so on - without success.
Of course, when you look for this topic in the entire board, there are a bunch of threads... but my question just is: Will this work on the Blackstone?
I found out, that the tv-out on the diamond pro only work with several apps, so i guess, it's not obvious that the available adapters will work on the blackstone.
anyway, thanks
There is no signal on the HD USB, so your only choice atm is to install the only currently available UPnP client for WinMobile, Conduit Pocket Player with UPnP plugin, on the HD, connect it over WiFi to Windows Media Player library on the desktop or a external NAS harddrive with a media server (I use Twonkymedia both on Vista and on the NAS instead because it is much faster with large libraries), and use a media extender like the Pinnacle ShowCenter 250 I use to get all your content from the HD (audio, video, photos) to your TV, stereo or home cinema.
ah, ok... thanks for the Info! I see that there is no way to watch media content directly over the USB-connector... I have to use a second system, a PC or Laptop.
Thanks a lot!
Is there anyway to stream local media (video/music/images) from your home pc to the HD2 when both of them are connected on the same network?
My N82 and N97 did that flawlessly, (by media server), was wondering if I can do something similar via Tversity installed on my pc.
Thanks.
I'm not aware of a DLNA client for windows mobile, but TVersity comes with a web interface. Why not just use that?
Or, you can use pocket player with the uPNP plugin to stream audio, I am not sure how well video streaming works though as I never could get it to work satisfactoryly.
download tversity for your pc and get tcpmp player for your phone. I have to look into starting a post about this if there isn't one
I am also interested in this feature. I don't understand why Windows mobile doesn't have some sort of media sharing or media extender feature natively. I would like to be able to connect to my wireless network, turn on file sharing, and play a media file on my TV via my Xbox. I know that the HD2 does not have a video output method (such as the Nokia's, Incredible, Evo, etc), so I would hope to at least be able to make up for it wirelessly.
I was doing this exactly last year with my HD1, using the Network Plugin + CorePlayer/TCMCP so it is possible.
Just browse your network on your HD, find the file, and click Play.
For people who also have a Home Theartre set-up powered by a PC, check out GRemote as a great program to browse files on your HD2 and then launch them/control playback on your TV.
