Hi got a little problem here.
I installed the dashwire panel cab and everytime Everytime I try to open the dashwire panel it crahes. Anyone else had this problem?
Help would be much apreciated.

Experieced that too one time.
It has to do with the connection too....
Well, you can easily just run the app from menu...
Does the panel has the same functionality as the app you launch from the Programs menu?

Dashwire Panel never worked on my device.
But I use the normal WM version of Dashwire.

Definitely has to. It's used widely by many devices and platforms!

Hi, I am wondering if it is possible to turn off the softkey bar (Calendar & Contacts) as well as the bar above it showing battery, screen orientation, wireless manager etc? I would love to get rid of these and use this space for more Totday plugin real estate. Does anyone know of a way to accomplish this goal? Thanks

vijay ones work. Also, the new wisbar advance 3 also has this option

But as I have seen some users have problems with vijay's software, as it is not developed completely.
And I dont want to use wisbar...not any more.

Other users faced some problems, not me. But I guess that they had some problems because of theirs WM6 rom's that may had some isses.
Btw...used the app. and I love it.
Try this program I'm running wm6.1 and have problems with dcinobar, vjtoday, and WA but this worked flawlessly!

Hi wouldnt it be nice to have some one develope this for the diamond? as a standard plugin, and not a complete installed app??

What is wrong with the built in contacts app that has the same alphabetical selection on the right hand screen

I know but vito is way to "heavy" to load, this is why i need a native app to show that alphabet on the side of the right screen.

It was standard on my diamond. I am using the latest official Orange ROM v 1.93
Maybe it wasn't standard on earlier roms ?

I have Skype installed and the panel isn't working properly at all, it just launches Skype.
a good choice of panels, the on the road panel is pretty good, the cnn panel crashed my phone after going back to the panel manager.

I love the On the Road panel and hopefully it adds support for TomTom and other GPS navigators. I wish it enabled Bluetooth or made that easy since it is a driving panel.
the on road panel, and the cnn panels are working fine.
skype and iphone panels are not working.
All the four panel are working fine (considering that they are beta) with the panelmanager from the beta R3A rom.
I mean the four beta SE panel (incl. MyTopia), I did not try the iPhone panel, because it's custom made and to tell the truth I don't like the iPhone

but the iphone panel i unusable for people who dont have the apps installed the buttons link to... so its not so good for me ^^
the on the road panel is pretty good for daily use =)
cant say sth about skype and cnn panel because i didnt try them yet
Wow, that's great, I think I've read they will be released 31st March, maybe these are beta versions... I'll try them later with my X1 (R2AA official)...

not sure o2 uk will be happy for me to use skype as i have unlimited data lol
lol, be careful with that if you use it, i work for o2 and unlimited doesn't mean completely unlimited, it's actually around 300mb.

I would also like it as a panel because I still want to use my original home screen ie the ms one showing various plugins.

Yes, I do have it installed on both my HTC HD and the X1. Reason I ask for it as a panel, is the same as for intrancer.

No, they still have not developed a SPM Mobile Shell 3.0 Panel.
@ sfkn2: why I wouldn't need to have it as a panel? We have panels for this reason, have multiple homes and be cool!

When I start a program on the HD2 it stays active untill I go to Setting - Other - Taskmanagement and deactivate all.
On my previous HD I had a setting where I could choose to deactivate the program when I choose the [x] on the upperright of the screen. Now there is no possibility to do such a thing and to go to [Setting]-[Other]-[Taskmanagement] each time is not my prefered way of working...
Does anyone knows how to do this on HD2?

I think there should be a taskmaneger settings where you can set on "x" button to close programs not just minimalize. I had it in my TP2 with leo rom i think.

What version are you using?
Showcase did not work on my HD2.
Leo (HD2) comes without HTC Task Manager and this is why you don't have the option to close apps by using "X"
You can install the HTC Task Manager by cab and you will get this functionality.

i dont have a gps lag, but i've got the rest.
for the owner info, just put your name in the people/contacts by ME
that should do the trick

if you mean navigation,
i use garmin. with all the extras on it,
gps fix is made within in a minute.
with my hd1 it took like 2 or 3 minutes before i've got a fix
I don't know the reason and don't see it causing problems. I'm using it on my ROMs and there are no problems with it.
Probably because HD2 has bigger RAM HTC has thought that it's better to leave apps open on the phone...this way they open faster
I don't have the cab, but you can search on the forums.

If you don't like Showcase, or for whatever other reason, another option is MobileSRC's Flipper (http://www.mobilesrc.com/flipper.aspx). It's got other features besides a task manager (you need to purchase the app if you want to use more than two features at a time), but I've found it works perfectly well as a free task manager.
I don't know how it'll work with the HD2, though, as I'm still waiting mine to arrive, but the app works fine with my TP2.
It's weird that HTC removed the Task Manager. Ok it's a "beast" and can run lots of apps at the same time, but the task manager was a nice way to close apps we don't want open.
