Hi there guys, just wondering if there are any good sms messaging apps/programs with a good finger optimized GUI [something like the HTC touchflo3d messaging app, or like the iphone's one], The stock winMo messaging application is horrible for finger use :S. [or is it possible to install touchflo3d's messaging app as a standalone?]
Or is it possible to somehow modify the media experience panel to incorporate messaging and program shortcuts aswell, because that panel is great for finger optimized use and has an awesome GUI .
Thanks guys!

My Question is... Is there a rom out there thats uses the regular android interface but has 5 screens, landscape home view, and htc apps and widgets.
Im kinda half way there I flashed the modaco rom but the touchflo overlay keep crashing so when ever i hit the home button and it asked me which i'd rather use the touch flo or home I chose home just to see what would happen. The result is I almost got everthing I wanted. I got a fastest ui ,the standard android, and all the htc apps, ie dialer, people, calender etc. All that was missing was the widgets and the 5 screens.
So is there like an htc rom out there w/o the touch flo overlay?
there is some kind of app thats called expanded or something like that that allows you to use up to 10 desktops...
But you had to be root for it to work...
Hi!
I have a Samsung Omnia Lite (B7300) with Windows Mobile 6.5, with some touchwiz features, like today, file manager, menu and that stuff. Is there any way for me to just have Samsung Touch Wiz, like the Samsung Star S5230 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OV6jQBSW1ME)? I like that interface more, the keypad, bigger buttons, menus and all that stuff. So basically, can I "remove" my Windows Mobile 6.5 and replace it with the touchwiz from the Samsung Star S5230?
Or maybe I can do this but with Android? Ive seen the XDAndroid, but it doesnt support my phone, can I get that to work?
Thanks in advance.
Your talking about puting a Symbian UI in a Windows Mobile phone... Impossible. XDAndroid would be a complete OS replacement (you wouldn't be using WinMo anymore) but has you said it doesn't work on your device (I bet you already noticed this is HTC land...) and I don't think you could get it to look like the Symbian Samsung UI). You can try finding alternative apps for WinMo and skin them.
There's this widget based today plugin called FEWidget. You'll need to modify the theme and images if you want it to match the Samsung Widget interface (you won't have the same widgets and features that use Samsung exclusive apps may not work... like the FMRadio and TouchPlayer widgets). You may create your own widgets if you know how. You can also create the bottom bar "buttons" to look like the Symbian version and make them launch the desired apps.
Combine that with an app to hide the bottom bar like nuenobar (dont know if FEWidget supports this).
You can find other 3rd party skinnable apps for the other components you mentioned.
Either that or if you know Flash you can try to decompile the swf file used by the plugin (should be in the windows folder) and modify it. Overwrite the file in the Windows folder (maybe by cabing the file you modified and intalling it). Not sure at all if this is possible.
The dialer is skinable/hackable (search around how to). Many Samsung apps may be also skinable/hackable.
Either way this may take a lot of knowledge, work, time and patience.

Thanks for the reply
Well, ive allready got Samsung Touchwiz in my Samsung Omnia Lite, so ive got the touch player widgets and some of that stuff.
As you see on the S5230, on the "today" screen at the bottom theres three buttons, phone, contacts and Menu. How can I get those, in that size?? If I use that "nueNoBar" can I get it back to normal? And, can I turn of that multitasking feature, so if i have an app running, I can just click the "hang up" button to get back to the today screen, and the app will close automatically?
You seem quite novice... You can't modify Samsung apps freely to fit your taste with that ease. I suggest you give up on my previous suggestions and try a 3rd party shell replacement...
I assume there may be a third option: hide both top bar and bottom bar, use Samsung widget and also something like HS++ to make a small theme just with the buttons to launch the dialpad and the other stuff (fairly easy... read the instructions).
About the multitasking I don't know who wouldn't want it. If you really want to close the app there should be a task manager provided by Samsung (swype your finger up beggining at the bottom and outside the screen). ALso I recommend installing WkTask to close apps on "X" rather than minimize.
PS: Running the toggle bar apps will show the bar again.
Hi
I am using Tytungs ICS rom at the moment and I really like it.
Everything runs great but i dont like the CM9 style messaging. Can someone tell me how to get the Galaxy S/S2 type threaded view colorful messaging on my phone.
And yes I have tried chomp but that doesn't work quite right for me
GO SMS Pro has loads of customisation and themes on the market. I couldn't find any Touchwiz themes but there are tonnes of others, and it's very functional. You can also make your own themes, e.g. a black background with yellow/blue bubbles (I think this is the Touchwiz colour scheme, right?) and it also has much more functionality than the stock app. Apparently Handcent SMS is also good, but I haven't tried that one yet.
I wonder if there is a way to make custom shortcut that will do a few tasks, besides only opens particular application or setting shorcut.
Maybe it could be useful to non-stock ROM user that still need the QuickNote shortcut to take screenshot and directly do some drawings on it.
I have got this LG Notebook, but still have no clue to make the shortcut on nav ring, like we got on stock rom.

You can add anything to the navring on AOKP in ROM Control.
Hi guys!
I got myself the KingWear KW88 and its actually very nice! But one thing is bothering me. the launcher. YOU can not set which apps to be on the top! so there is a lot of scrolling xD
I got Nova launcher on it and im planning on PujieBlack (anyone have a good guide for it??)
BUT! my main question is now for notifications!
How do you get them to display full screen now? I am using m2d sender which works okay (any better ones?) and I have some apps installed like calendar etc. but I dont get notifications now fullscreen ? any app that could help with this? I found HeadsUp but it only displays them on the top ofc. not full screen =)
ANY other apps or nececities for this watch is also greatly appreciated!=)

I'm liking the Clockskin Launcher (aka Eric Launcher) http://roundandroidwatches.proboards.com/thread/387/clockskin-universal-launcher-standalone-app
(Dont think theres an XDA board for the app)
Notifications on the KW88 are challenging! M2D works with the Clockskin Launcher, but not flawlessly. I've not found a better solution yet, but I'm pretty new to the KW88 too!
In particular, I've not gotten Voice Mail notifications to work with M2D Sender on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 running 4.4.4 (yep, holding on to an old one for now b/c it has an ANT+ radio) . I'm on Sprint in the US, so there's a network specific voice message app. M2D sees the app, but doesnt recognize new VM notifications.
