hi, im looking for chinese rom for my o2 xda exec.
im having a english rom now which runs on windows mobile 5.
i wanted to flash it to chinese rom for my dad. can i know where can i get the said chinese rom? i dont mind paying.
Have tried to find it thru the web for few months now but to avail.

Hi i have upgrade my xda to mda 3.16.45 ger. All works fine...
But i will install the mms upgrade he say´s can only run on t-mobile mda.
Whats wrong...?

Seems I couldn't make the German upgrade Rom works on my O2 XDA.

I'm about to buy an XDA and I was wondering it there might be a problem taking a German XDA and flashing it with and english rom.
As far as I read out there, usign the SD method there shoudln't be any problem at all.... just to be sure, because my german is very, very bad!!! :shock:
BTW, right now both TIM and Vodafone are selling XDA in Italy. Is there any Italian version of the roms?

No problem, I used the WM 2003.exe version from the web as well as the ROM-kitchen on a german xda (ROM 4.00.01 ENG, Radio 4.21.00), both work out fine.
Be prepared to be unable to restore your backup-files when you upgrade from PPC 2002 to WM/PPC 2003.

I did an upgrade from my germany O2 XDA ( 64MB ) from 3.14.x to WM2003 and 3.17.03 and 3.19.01. No problem. I made a backup from my original rom on a SD card. Just in case.

I am fairly new to this forum. Have been reading topics and comments here for a while now and I happen to have a HTC P3300 and Touch Cruise in my posession.
But, the Artemis/P3300 has got some outdated software I believe. I prefer my PDA to be in Dutch and therefore I am looking for a nice and recent dutch ROM for this nice phone.
I have been using the search button, maybe I overlooked it. But I did not find anything suited.
Anybody willing to help me on this?

I don't think that there is an official WM 6.1 for Polaris/Touch Cruise out there yet.

I had the official O2 WWE WM6.1 proffessional rom on my O2 XDA Orbit 2, but did not take a back-up, so have now lost it.
I can not find it anywhere, am slightly annoyed at myself as I thought the one on the forum was the 6.1 but it is the 6.0 version.

I am going to receive a HTC Touch Cruise with WM Pro 6.0 in dutch. I would like to change its language to english or french. I plan on upgrading the OS to WM Pro 6.1 (via HTC website). Does anyone know if this will allow me to change the language of the phone?

Not sure, but i guess you can download the WM6.1 WWE rom from the forums (here) and flash that one to your device and you will have english language

I suppose WM6.1 WWE can be installed on any existing ROM OS ?
Never installed the original HTC rom in a different language.
Installed different cooked roms without any problem. I recon there is no problem with a original though I can't imagine someone want to use a original .
afaik you can install any rom - it's refalashing, so it doesn't really matter what rom u had
just download and instal rom u like
