Does anyone knows if it is possible to monitor the battery temperature?
i use to with BATTERY STATUS but now i cant find that program for diamond
This is definitely possible. Batti has the temperature on its info screen.
you can also use Nuepower from no2chem

Another question...
I did a hard reset Fri to clean up the device and just install the stuff that I was happy with. But now I'm missing the battery status bar that runs along the very top of the screen...
Was it a built-in, out of the box function or is it native to a 3rd party launcher app? I *did* have WisBar installed for a quick minute, but I uninstalled it and still had the statusbar...
Using the same themes I was using before...can't find any options that I havent checked. It's not VITAL, but it was a nice touch and I miss it.
It was probably a reminant of wisbar. I have wisbar lite and it has the battery status "line" at the top.
http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/products.php?prod=WisBar+Lite
Wisbar lite has an inbuilt thin line battery meter. But batti which is free does the same job - see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=48007&sid=3de75058a939a46fcd5ab8720882a2f6
THANK YOU!!!
it was driving me nuts not knowing why it disappeared...lol.
I do like it...It should be part of the orignal set up...the battery icon at teh bottom is too small...
Thanks again!
Whoohoo! Just installed it - very nice! (I'm a bit more excited about this than I should be..lol)
Battery Meter Indicator Line...
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there a battery meter indicator line at the very top of every application? I see it on my C8125. It goes across the very top from left to right. It also pulses from current power to max when the phone is charging.
I could be wrong that this is WM5 native and not one of my programs: SPB Weather, Diary....
Thx for the info anyway!

It's not native to WM5. ou probably also have SPB Pocket Plus? That comes with a battery indicator also.

Actually just checked and I only have SPB Weather installed. That's probably the culprit though. Definitely better than an extra icon on the menu bar.
thx

Hi,
is there a alternative to BatteryStatus? I only need CPUScaler, and don't need something on today screen (the little speed indicator below the battery icon is nice though)
ok, found a solution myself, one can disable to display of the today plugin (while the plugin itself stays active)

are you sure it stays alive?
yes, because I have that little speed display below the battery icon, and it changes...
can u post a screenshot , btw your talkin about batterystatus right?
uhm, gotta search a screenshot tool yes, I mean batterystatus
found some trial software for screenshots (any better alternatives to vito screen capture? Though I like the taking screenshots while being connected)
look at the small speed indicator below the battery icon, this is batterystatus. When disconnected from USB it does overclock as needed (I run it with cpuscaler)
Hi all, I have the xperia x1 and have installed the Homescreen Plusplus (Batterystatus) I love this little app but have noticed that the battery indicator now drops in 10% increments instead of the 1% it did on my HTC TyTN II... is this normal or can I fix it somehow...? Cheers for any info...
Thats because the system battery driver only reports in 10% steps
hopefully a FW update in the future will fix it
Thanks for the info Searly... I wondered if that would be the case...
Anyone know where I can get Homescreen Plusplus (Batterystatus)?

Does the HD2 support reading cpu temperature and is it available with any android build / software available at the moment??
questions belong in the questions section.. easy answer is yes it does, some of the software you can use is setcpu. it gathers cpu info and displays temp in widget format in either F or C temp readings

oops thx for reminding will ask there, I use SetCpu but could not find any widget for it.
SetCpu reads CPU temperature if kernel and hardware supports it, therefore I am asking if HD2 and any available Android version does.
Moved to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=783270
It works for me using battery indicator.
ya knolw how you add widgets to main screen by long clicking on a spot on main screen? press widgets on the box that comes up, then scroll down and press setcpu and apply and you'll have your setcpu widget

Thank you
Using Setcpu widget and it shows a temperature, but anyone can explain why under all conditions the temperature is exactly the same with 5 battery widgets showing battery temperature
I think there is only 1 temperature diode or sensor available and some software say it is cpu, some say it is battery temperature

dont get what you're trying to ask, but shouldn't it be a good thing that all the widgets are showing the same temperature? it proves that its taking the data from somewhere and not just showing some random BS temperature..
Yeah, I think most people believe SetCPU is measuring the CPU temperature because it's called SetCPU not SetBattery, but the temp gauge is actually the battery temperature, which is why we get a range of around 90f/30c. I don't know of a way to have programs or settings actually respond to actual CPU temps, but I'd love to do the same if I could. I'm guessing that it's either not available or not easy because SetCPU is using the battery temp instead of the CPU temp which would be a lot more helpful. This is also the problem with setting the Temp value in SetCPU profiles because it's responding to a value away from the issue (high CPU temps).
What you will find is that if your environment is stable you will see the battery temp go up as the overall operating temp goes up, so it's not useless, just not useful.
Hi,
Do you guys know if battery icon next to the clock can show current battery level in %? I was wondering if that is possible, it was it in windows mobile.
Regards,
ncc74656
I use Battery Indicator Pro for that. Adds another icon in notification area showing %. Remember that MS will not report anything other than 10% increments.
motocharge app can show you the exact percentage
Sent from my A953 using XDA Premium App
it does not give percent in icon :?

It does. I just bought it and tested and it works.
How accurate it is I do not know.

it doesn't give the percent in the battery icon but in the status bar...
To get battery percentage in the battery icon, you have to edit the framework. I don't know how that works, but I do know it's related to the framework.
Specific themes have the percentage in the battery icon.

yes I know that, I've tried to do it with uot kitchen but after restart, I've got closing apps errors. Even with argent2stone rom
I think it's because ms2 give ranges by 10% and uot gives all percents.
sorry for my english
Motocharge is quite nice. Is it possible to disable original battery indicator?
