I would agree, advance config. tools is really good.........personally, I have all 3 of them.

It doesn't matter when you installed all of them?!

Well logically speaking it wud be ideal to jus install jus one config tool and the recommeded one is "Advanced Configuration Tool" as mentioned in the previous posts but then again it depends on the user if he installs more than one... tht choice is urs anywayz each tool has the most common tweaks tht each user requires so it doesn't really matter which u take....

That is right, there is no order to them as there are separate apps. I installed all of them just to cover my basis.

Automatic SIP change

Hi
Here's a challange for all you programmers: the possibility to make the SIP change automaticly with change of programs!
(I've started this thread in the Artemis forum, that you might have a look at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=318612)
FYI - The latest beta of wisbar advance 2 could do that....
Hmm, maybe I'm a bit slow, but how? I have tried to download it, but I didn't find the function. - OK, I'll try it again.
Thanks
Søren

I hope someone can come up with this program too
I'm using the Japanese IME and would like it to change to English in certain programs.

How to disable or remove the Cube

I hope someone has found the answere by now...
I almost never use the cube..
And it only bugs me because it comes up often when i did not ask for it.
Like when typing a message,
But sometimes also when i just try'd to press one of the bottem softbuttons.
So... does anyone know a way to disable or remove the Cube..
Or maybe change the gesture to bring up the Cube.
Thank you!
did you try to install Schap's configuration tool and disable it?

The app you just installed is only for non touch devices that require FTOUCHFLO to become touch
This app will not disable your cube.
Search thisin the HTC TOUCH Forum, maybe someone will help you

Hi

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\TFLOSettings]
"EnableCube"=dword:1 <- change value to 0
Great!!!!!
Thanks!! thats perfect!

Updated 3/3/2008**GUIDE: Speed up OEM ROMS with NETCF3.5 without cooking

Posted this earlier in the Kaiser section.
Until now you could get NET CF3.5 as default only if you cooked it into a ROM. But I've found the registry setting that can disable the default net CF 2.0 and enable net CF 3.5 as default. There is a noticable increase in speed and it shows on the benchmarks as well. I used to get 1320 on mine now I'm getting 1499 with VBenchmark.
What you need to do:
1. Install NetCF3.5 on your ppc.
2. Open a registry editor, I use Reso Regsitry Editor
3. Goto HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NETCompactFramework (this is usually the first entry
4. When you open this you'll see all the .NET installed version change the DWORD value of 2.0.7045.00 from 1 to 0
5. Chang ethe DWORD value of 3.5.7283.00 from 0 to 1.
6. Reboot
7.Viola! you have a faster PPC
Any questions please post up, hope this helps the few memebrs who stick to the OEM roms.
Update, found a cab that does this work for you at Modaco. Link is located http://www.modaco.com/content/Windo...ct-Framework-3-5-WITHOUT-upgrading-your-ROM-/
and the file thanks to Paul(MVP) from Modaco
is there a link to netcf3.5?? also will this work on a mogul/titan??

I just downloaded and there are several to choose from.
I tried ppc but it said not compatible with my device so I tried this one:
NETCFV3.5.wm.armv4i.cab. It loaded but unsure if that is correct one or not.
Could you please advise.
Thanks,
That should be the correct one. If it installs its right
Did a reset and all seems to be fine. Just curious - do you know the difference between the old version and the new?
Also, where would I notice the speed increase the most?
Thanks for the reg hack - It seems to be moving faster.
I'm running a custom WM 6.1 ROM with DCD's kitchen on my Sprint Mogul. Under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NETCompactFramework, only 3.5.7283.00 is listed and it's value is 0. I haven't had any .NET issues, but should I change the value to 1?
In VBenchamark I hard an overall speed increase.
Physically I noticed an increase in speed in scrolling and opening apps.
@Jim,
When you change the value to "1" all it does is tell the OS that this is the default ROM .NET, you can try chaning it to one Make sure its the only 1 though.

Yes, this is for wm5/wm6 ppc's.
If you have an wm2003 then you have to use the NETCFv35.ppc.armv4.cab.

The only strange think I noticed is that in 'Schap's Advanced Configuration Tool', it shows that I have the previous version of .NET (2.0......)
This method works really nice, thanks a lot aksd
Iam testing it on Blueangel device with my latest custom WM 6.1 19199.1.0.0 rom
Huge performance gain!!!
OK!
It works very well on my Cruise with NTCF 3,5 installed successively.
THANKS
Definately faster on my Tilt..
Thanks
This is a hack for the frontpages......
Tnx
Dirk
thank
it's worked on my ATOM thanks for ur advice
sorry for stupid question..
this is enabling net cf 3.5 right..
and what about battery consumtion..

Icontact guys i have some questions..

So i know i could search through forum after forum but heres a simpler way how can i make icontact my default contacts manager instead of the windows manager? and change the bottom button to be icontact instead of contact the soft key ya know? thanks
It should become default once you install it. To change the bottom soft key to iContact, simply get a soft key changer (Schap's tool works great).
so just use advanced configuration tool? anychance theres a link to it that i dont have to sign up for?
