Hi Guys,
i've been using 612c for a while... it's quite slow compared to Microsoft Voice command which i've been using since my last ipaq 6515, i want to ask how to replace Cyberon Voice commander (since it installed inside rom) with Microsoft Voice Command 1.6?
thx..

Maybe it's a good idea to post a request to some of the rom cookers see previous threads. You can just install the microsoft voice command and assign the button for voice command but it didn't work for me properly. Maybe it needs some more tweaking i don't know - assigned the "hold record button"
for starting the program but it didn't work. I don't really use voice command so i just uninstalled it and didn't try to make it work at all. Guess that the idea of talking to the phone while in office seems odd to me. Maybe it's useful while driving but i usually only take calls while in the car.
Vito Voice Dialer
There is an application by VITO - voice dialer, if voice dialing is what you need. Give it a go and post comments if you want to

Hi, anyone tryed this software with the XDA II?
I tried to install, but can´t record voice.
Helio
I tried it with exactly the same effect. It also made my XDA II lock up and I had to reboot twice so I junked it. Try the stuff from Fonix it seems to work reasonably well buy like the MS offering, I don't think it works via Bluetooth.
I have tried both, but I m a non English speaking, I m not satisfaity with the result. I have tried the vito voice dialer on a ipaq . It works 100% The problem was it have no phone.
Helio
Hi, I have done the same . On the ipaq it works :?
JoseF
I have a Samsung Omnia 8G. I instaled SPB Mobile Shell 2.1.2 + SPB MObile Shell Skin 3.1.1. I want to use Vito Voice Dialer, but after instal I have an error: "Setting skin not found or it is incompatible with this version of Voice Dialer". Can someoane help me ??
Hi!
Anyone has tried the above voicedial programs? Which is the best in terms of name recognition accuracy?
Lets talk about the LATEST version, MSVC v1.5 vs Fonix VoiceDial v2.0 Vito VoiceDialer v3.5, ok?
Thanks
You should also include Cyberon Voice Commander. Its a great program since you train it to recognize your own voice along with your unique accents or intonations. And it also opens programs.

I would definately reccomend staying AWAY from MSVC v1.5..
I purchased retail CD and install on my device. While the software itself seems to work as advertised- I have problems with MS Voice Command DISABLING other features on my device:
I have made multiple calls to Microsoft Tech Support- and they acknowladge my problems are due to the voice command software- but have no fix available...
Specifically, If I have MSVC installed on my device, My bluetooth radio CANNOT turn on, due to a bug/software glitch in MSVC.
I have tried the FONIX software free trial and worked freat- AND my bluetooth radio was not affected!!
Microsoft refuses to refund my defective software and of course the retail store will not accept open software for refund...
So do to Microsoft Software Bug, I am out nearly $50.00 US.
Good luck 2 all!!

babj615,
MSVC v1.5 has no problem working on my O2 XDA II and has no conflict with any of my programs so far.
On the contrary, Fonix's name recognition is worse than MSVC. Also, you've to shout rather loud into the mic for Fonix to recognize a name. I say you should stay from Fonix instead.
Microsoft voice command 1.5 works
Good experience with MS Voice Command so far.
No problems interfering with other apps; pretty good voice recognition.
Only one problem VC does not seem to work when some other apps are opened.

It's fine for me - so long as you turn on AGC in the settings... else it can't hear you (bless it).
Hello All,
MDApro & BT800 Headset
I installed MS Voice Command 1.5 and it runs very well without any training. So I want to changed the stupid standard installed Cyberon Voice Speed Dial Software with the MS Voice Command 1.5 Version.
But no possibility to activate the new Software from the headset. So I changed
HKEY_LOCAL_MASCHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\Path
\Windows\sddialer.exe (program is loaded in ROM)
to
HKEY_LOCAL_MASCHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\Path
\Windows\VoiceCommand.exe
now MS Voice Command 1.5 starts, but no recognition/communication with the headset and after a while program ends normaly.
What's going on? Any hints?
best regrads,
Udo

Hi all,
I have loaded the XDA Live rom on my i-Mate Jasjam and all is great until I loaded the program "Vito Audio Notes". I have used the program for months on WM5 and it always worked with out fail. Now it will not record phone calls, all other aspects of the programs work and thats great but the only reason I used it was to record phone calls, I couldn't here the other person very well but it would always record me very clearly so I would just repeat there instructions so as to have a record of the call. The program will not start recording when a call is in progress.
Please if anyone has had this issue or had it working could you let me know.
Any other programs that do or do not work with WM6 would be interesting to know about.
I hope this is the write place to post this...

Yes it does. I have 6.03 running with a TOMTOM GPS receiver.
Newsbreak works, and so does the smartphone version of Weatherbug.

I just said it wasn't working for me, but it does appear to be BT related. Having said that I have succesfully paired it with my Socket GPS receiver.
Seems not to like my Globalsat receiver,
Anyone know if Good Mobile Messaging is working on WM6? I'm reluctant to try this unless I know for sure that Good mesaging works. Otherwise, I'll have to wait.
This is my one Can't-do-without app.

Pocketweather
SPB Time
SKTools
MemMaid

Its not working, i get error not compatible with your device.... Back to Cingular rom for me....
The ROM i am using has MVC (MS Voice Command) built into it, and MVC works well for voice dialing if your contacts have English names, which I don't have. so, i went ahead and installed Cyberon Speed Dial which allows me to use my own voice tags to the calling. the only problem is that i can't find away to start cyberon by pressing the BT headset button. all solutions i found were for the other way around.
thanks for reading and will really appreciate your help
Hmmmm...
Two programs using the same resources (BT)...
If you can, just deactivated MVC (or uninstall).
I haven't use MVC, and Cyberion work well on my device for speed dialing.

It is already deactivated, and I don't think I can uninstall it because it was built into the ROM.
