Help Please.........

I have a dopod p800w and I tried to flash it with Tom_ART_v2.00.02_CB downloaded from here and it is dead. It goes to the initial booting screen and just stays there forever. I have the original ROM from dopod asia and I tried to flash with it thru SD as guided from ur website. When I invoke the bootloader it says searching for sd card and immediatly goes to 3 color bands, then nothing happenes.
I feel like crying now. Can somebody helpme

Try to get the phone into bootloader and flash the orignal shipped rom and for gods sake and for the sake of your expensive handset read the post by our moderator meschle right at the top before even attempting to flash.Hopefully you may retreive it.

the bootloader when invoked says searching for sd card but then it goes to a tri color band display n nothing happenes

is this boot loader can be invoked from desktop using the prog (mtty.exe)mentioned in ur forums (im not IT savvy)

is ur phone cid unlocked? try t-mob. shipped rom. it helped lot of people

Hi I would like to inform very happyly My dopod p800w is alive.
Yap managed to restore it with original shipped ROM.
Actually I was trying to flash it from SD card which I couldn't with out knowing I can connect USB cable when it is in bootloader tri color band and straight away start by double clicking the EXEfile of original ROM

HTC Athena x7500 "Black Screen"

Hi guys,
This is my first post over here >>> Actully i have a problem with the athena i tried to unlouck it using X7500 Unlocker but i faced a really difficult problem. i am getting a black screen only no boot , no hard reset and no USB connection. I tried my best to breing it back up but i couldn't. Plz i need your help to solve this problem.

Same happened to one of our units here.
Needed a trip to the service. ALWAYS take out SIM card and miniSD card out when flashing, they're known to cause random f***ups.

sorry about my english i have the same problem when i press camera key +power +rest i dont have any action and i try the camera +slid volum key down and i try camera + voice key and i try all key but i dont hav any action all this whitout sim and minisd just black sacreen help me plz plz plz

I have interest problem. After step 2 of unlocking i get the black screen. After I have followed of instructions. When I try to flash the ROM, i see: "Error [302]: Update error"
I have no SIM or card inside. I tried with 3 different ROM flash my f***ed device. Nothing helps. May be anyone of u can help me?

What state is your Athena in ? Bootloader accessible, black screen, what exactly ?

i had similar problem but before any one can help you u have to tell us in what state exactly your device is and try to get it in to bootloader before we can help first thing is you want to check in bootloader is that if your device is hard spl (if yes then you can flash it with any rom)
the eiset way to do it is Rename the .NBH file to ATHEIMG.nbh and copy it to your miniSD card. Press camera+com manager+soft reset to bootloader and wait for reading ATHEIMG.nbh from SD. Remember, the miniSD card must be formatted with a FAT32 filesystem before copying the file ATHEIMG.nbh to your miniSD.
u can use any (athena rom ) as long as it is hard spl other wise if not sure or any doubt use your ship rom (nbh file)

i also got one 7500 for repair, client told me while CID unlocking communications breaks and AMEO is DEAD.
Does not go into BOOT-LOADER mode,
Computer not detects it,
No responce to charger, no ring
Battery is charged with 3.77vDC
Red ring comes for a sec only try to RESET the device with Charger connected
Red ring also visible as long as Battery is not in the Phone and Charger is connected.
IS THERE ANY HOPE TO REVIVE IT

New member needs help!!

I unlocked a Cingular 8125 and went to load TNT Professional ROM. The phone kept losing communication at 99% and when I went to reload the original ROM from HTC's site, now I have NO O/S. I DO have another one, but my wife is using it until we get her a pink BlackJackII. I really like these phones, and can't believe I crashed this one! I don't have any Mini-SD cards. Any way to rebuild this thing?

Nobody has any ideas for me? I really need to get this phone running again!

Most comm errors are due to weak or discharged battery,not having enough juice to complete the the flash,get it fully charged and try again,secondly,Yes! don't use winVista.
Download the official stock rom and flash to recover back.Get the phone in Bootloaders (RGB screen) hook up the phone and watch small usb appear at the bottom of the Bootloaders,if its there,run the rom to flash,it'll start to flash,but if small usb is not present than most probably its a comm fault.

I was using a Win2K machine. I had 2 batteries that were fully charged. I have a friend that will lend me his miniSD adapter and use my 1gig microSD card to get the info off my wife's phone and copy it to this one. He has a Sprint version of the AT&T Tilt. Might see if he wants to check out this site.

OK. I have access to a miniSD card now. Do I just take my wife's 8125, make a backup from it, then put the card in the bricked phone and load bootloader?

They are both G3's. I think they may even be from the same batch. If I unlock hers, won't I lose all her data?

YUP ! but first make a back up of all the personal data on her phone to your pc,for this use either 'PimBackup' or any similar back up application and than unlock it.Its necessary to have both phones CID unlock,otherwise,this method won't work.

OK, I used Lokiwiz 3beta and superCID unlocked the other one. When I run mtty, and use the r2sd all command, I get

I have left it sitting there for an hour and nothing else happens. Isn't it supposed to have several more lines of text scroll by? Also, I can't figure out how to get the dead one to boot to the miniSD.

ok,did you read the method carefully,the link I posted above ? you are getting it correctly.
This methods involves many steps.
Step 1.
Back up all the data on your wife's phone to your pc with 'PIMbackup',than downgrade to IPL/SPL 1.xx either through flashing 'Button's Rom 1.05 or you can even flash official stock rom Aku1 for this,when getting IPL/SPL 1.xx either way,apply lokiwiz02b and not lokiwiz 3beta to CID unlock your wife's phone,or you can use WST_4.2.2 tool also to CID unlock it,but its must to have IPL/SPL 1.xx to CID unlock in both the ways.Only after getting the phone CID unlocked,you can Backup the rom on a miniSD card.
Step 2.
After successfully back up of the rom on miniSD card,insert this card in your dead phone and get the phone into Bootloaders mode (RGB screen).
Step 3.
Run the MTTY command to back up from miniSD card.This is only possible if you already have this phone CID unlocked,otherwise it won't work.
Both the devices must be CID unlocked.
Although,I'm still not sure if it works,but there's no harm to try,may be it gets going.

YUP ! it changes during flash,but it'll become green on 100% completion and the phone reboots.

OK. I can't get this thing to take the WizardLove ROM, can't find Button's ROM, but I am trying to load the XDAMiniS ROM now. On my third try and the SPL still says 2.25. Battery is fully charged and I get an immediate connection failure trying to load WizardLove. I really wish I could find the original Cingular ROM for this phone, not the new(er) update.

I am just about ready to give up on this thing. No matter what I do, when I try to boot it up regular, it still keeps freezing up and when I try to do a hard reset, I get a format is failed error message.

Can I use WST to make a backup RUU from the working phone and flash that to the dead one? All other attempts have failed to restore this phone.

I have Vista at home, and I read where many people here say that you can't do reflashes with Vista, so I use my computer at work, which runs Win2K. I haven't unlocked the second phone, but I thought that I did the first one. That was why I went to flash it. I wonder if the unlock didn't take and that put me in this predicament.

So if it say format failed i cant imagine other thing that do the thing i post you... so if you got questions about clear DOC Chip ask everything...
when you already get everything in a XP machine tell us please oh just for a recomendation unplug the minisd and during the process the mtty working on some lines dont launch programs check your USB cable maybe with a little scratch and moving makes a false contact at all.

help - cannot succeed flashing rom

I bought a second hand X7500.
I feel sheepy , I tried follow instruction (even for nobes like me) but I can't flash anything.
I got athena x7500, It was cid lock so i tried to unlocked it ,getting no connection error...then I found out I forgot to do kaizer hardspl....and then got error 244 ....
because I complete ignorant I done hard reset and format the micro drive....
and cannot flash any new os ....
please help me

I managed to flash it yesterday. I had the same problem as you. It seems that u have succeeded to unlock your athena. The black screen also appeared on my athena, so i was worried that i bricked it. But then i found out it is quite normal, if your have followed the 3 steps olipro SPL. If I am not wrong, the black screen appeared in step 2. so now you flash with a wm 6, then restart from the begining the 3 steps olipro SPL. you can download the wm 6 from here. good luck.

by the way, i am completely disappointed with Athena. It is working extremely slow and it cannot play any videos. So it is a waste of money. I never expected such a poor pda from HTC.

wow, really? Make sure you've read as much as you can about flashing issues before you trash the hardware. It took me 8 different ROMs including 4 temporary bricks before I found the configuration that rocks this thing. My video is smooth (all formats) my camera is far better than my tilts, especially in lower light settings, and with real VGA set to 128, this screen is unmatched. Garmin gets me anywhere and I have no speed problems at all. Don't give up, people.

run the upgrade on your computer
do a hard reset , then things should be fine
you can't boot because there is no image on the athena
Almost it is always possible to recover fron the bootloader screen.

The phone should charge via usb cable , if not try a different cable.
Once the phone is charged (light shows green around the joystick nipple) another option is to flash via SD card
There is a guide to do this in the wiki

[Q] HTC Touch Problem Remedy

Hello everybody, with the risk of opening an already discussed thread, I am asking for your help regarding my HTC Elf (or Elfin?).
Initially I tried to change the language from Spanish to English, with the aid of some programs like ELF USPL. The first thing that appeared on the screen when my phone turned on was an Orange(TM) logo and it did not go further than that (it shut back off). After several tries with that program and other .nbh files, I even installed an Onyx release.
Now the phone has the same attitude as with the Orange(TM) logo, but now it appears "smart mobility" and then shuts back off. When I enter the boot screen: on the red colour it says IPL 1.14.0002 and SPL 1.14.0000 followed by green, blue and a little white on which states if the USB is connected.
Can you guide me to the solution, please?

Thank you for the directions. I've followed some of them and I am in this stage: I know my device ID: ELF010050 ORANG309, got the original ROM but the same 270 problem which pops up at 2% when the phone resets and then shuts down. My CID is locked and saw in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=320155 a program called enable-rapi but requires the phone to be on to install the files. Can you help me further, please?

To the best of my knowledge, if you really had Your original Rom it'd have successfully flashed. Any other one will meet the 270 or 2% error. Enable Rapi and the rest is valid before you flash a Rom, so my best advice is to try to find the appropriate one.

After countless tries to flash that ROM, I'm still getting the 2% error. But I've noticed that I can make the tricolor screen display RUU in the top right corner by removing the battery while 0% - 2% flashed and turning the phone back on. But it doesn't work this way either, error 270 still pops up.

Try find your cid and device using the same link first and then flash

ELF010050 and ORANG309 are the CID and device, I've downloaded two seemingly original ROMs but I still get the 2% error. They were in Spanish like the original one but still didn't work.

Thank you for the idea. Could you give me a link for a tutorial? I downloaded the Axe Box program and didn't install properly, maybe because of its version (5.0) that I got from some FTP server.
