can someone help me with replacing the boot image for the wallaby device through the pnewbmp.exe command as i keep getting the message error reading file bla.bmp, so someone please help if possible

Where did you find pnewbmp.exe?
I'm sorry, but I don't have an answer. Perhaps the BMP is in the wrong format. When using mkrom the bootimage.bmp needs to be saved as 16-bit, R5G6B5 and Flip row order. The only progam I've heard of that can do it is Photoshop 7.

search in xda developers page for Rapi tool, thanks anyways i'll try that, otherwise if anybody has more answers please do share

Does anybody have the compiled version of pnewbmp.exe. I tried to get it through the link here http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=4875&highlight=rapi but the link for the compiled verion appears stale.

BTW I found this util worked great with a BMP that I had formated with Photoshop.

worked like charm !!!! the whole secret was in the picture it self, it has to be dead accurate

pnewbmp -3 or -4 for Windows Mobile SE ? Himalaya?

I want to mount on my imate sp3 the wm5. Before doing this I Know that it is necessary to update the SPL to version 1.01.109 but using spv-service I realize that the website http://www.spv-developers.com not working. Indeed is offline. How can I do as an alternative? Thanks

Softer boot-up sound

I've edited the sound that we hear at boot-up to make it softer (I have an automatic restart in the night and I don't want to wake me up hearing my phone booting)
HOW TO USE:
Download it
Make a backup of \windows\BootUpHTC.wav if you want to restore the original file
Copy my file it in the \windows directory (overwrite original)

Other person have downloaded the file, so it's not a problem related to my rapidshare account, I think.
What's the error message you have when you try to download?

The download simply doesn't start :-( like all others I've made with rapidshare !

Uh! Different situation, but we return to the main problem: I see 6 downloads of the file (from other users, I think), and I'm able to download myself the file... I don't know how to help you.
