Turn off navigation icons in text entry? - Touch HD General

Hi,
Does anyone know if its possible to turn off the navigation icons (bottom row on 'Full Qwerty')? Most of my typing errors are due to hitting these by mistake and entering text in the middle of other words!
Is there a keyboard that's identical in look to the 'Full Qwerty' one but without these buttons?
Cheers.

SIP/Input Selector Shortcut Possible?

Hi everyone,
You know, if we wanted to change the type of input in the middle of entering text to another input method, we have to tap that small little arrow that appears beside the SIP/Input Panel icon (bottom, middle of the screen) which is the SIP/Input Selector? Well with all rage for finger only input, is there any way at all to have some sort of shortcut to this little arrow/input selector? Maybe have it mapped to a hardware button or have an icon appearing in the task bar or something that is big enough to be tapped with a finger.
At the moment, I either have to pull the stylus out just the change the input method or do some gymnastics with my finger and nail to tap that tiny little arrow which sits very close the to the input panel (which is another problem).
ftSwitchSip?
Here you go, install the cab and map it to a hardware button.

Late answer: Slide leftwards
I know this is a very late answer, but other might find it useful.
With the sip popped up. Press sip-icon and SLIDE leftwards, this will pop-up the sip selector, and can be done with any finger, even a thumb.
(Sliding downwards will close the sip, think of it as 'pulling' the keyboard down, a dubblet of just tapping the icon)

Soft Keyboard in Contacts screen

I am new to the TP2 and TF3d. in Contacts there is no soft keyboard to pop and I want to be able to use this one handed.
I have seen screen shots where there is a soft keyboard but have never found a way to do this.
Anyone know?
Tap the search icon on the top right. A text field should appear. Now you can display the soft keyboard by tapping the icon in the bottom center of your screen.
If you're in the default winmo contact app, it's similar. You have to tap the search bar on top before you can deploy the soft keyboard.
So simple and yet i missed it. WOW - thanks a lot!

Any way to hide/disable menu buttons when typing in landscape?

I'm a pretty sloppy typist and I find that when I'm typing in landscape mode I'm constantly hitting the soft menu buttons underneath the space bar (home, keyboard hide, and app switcher). As you might imagine, this is pretty annoying as I'm constantly losing the page I'm working on. Does anyone know of an app or setting that will either hide or disable the three soft keys when I'm typing?

Despite Halo Keyboard active, onscreen keyboard keeps popping up. How to suppress?

Hi,
since a couple of days, I have this problem with my Yoga book:
- Halo (= hardware) keyboard is active and lit up
- when I enter a text input field in any app (Firefox...), the onscreen keyboard will pop up.
- as soon as I start typing on the Halo keyboard, the onscreen keyboard will disappear
- but the first typed letter will - most of the time - be missing in my text
Expected behaviour: no onscreen keyboard will pop up if I have hw keyboard activated.
How can I fix this?
What are the proper settings in the keyboard settings menu?
Is there any other setting I might have missed?

hey, i'm not familiar with the settings in English...but let's try...
try to uncheck 'show input method' at the bottom of the menu where you can switch between the keybords.
if i have it checked, the onscreen keyboard pops up. if not, nothing comes.
unfortunately, i have the same annoying 'bug' that quite often the first keystroke on the halo keyboard isn't recognized.
This did solve my problem!

Keyboard changing button in Navigation bar

Does anyone know how to remove the keyboard button on the navigation bar? It's in the bottom right and only appears when the keyboard is in use. I've checked keyboard settings, and navigation bar settings and neither have a disable option. I've read that a way to remove it is to freeze the stock keyboard app, but i'd rather not resort to that. I know it used to just be an ongoing notification while the keyboard was up, but now it's just in the bottom right. I've tried "Navbar apps" but it doesn't have the option to disable that. Is there any other way?
