will this work over wifi?
this works over bluetooth, by wifi it's more simple, you just have to configure the wireless and browse the network normally, you woun't need ftp
my badm, i meant for ad hoc device to device connections, (jam 2 jam)
i think not !

I suppose I'm a noob at this. I really want to get this to work, because although I like the Bluesoleil stack it doesn't support certain headphones. But PAN works great on it...
I've installed MS IIS and the ftp protocol on my PC but don't know what to do. I have 3 networked drives, namely \\ads-1\d, \\ads-1\e and \\ads-1\f.
Please explain how I set up IIS to point to these drives. Or is there a site that can walk me through it? Many thanks!
I am not sure if this is already posted elsewhere because I did a search and couldn't find that.
Does anyone know how to change the home folder for bluetooth recieved files? I need to change that to recieve files directly to my MicroSD card not in the main memory (which has not enough space most of the time).
Any help?
It looks that you cannot specify the directory for bluetooth incoming files.
MS Bluetooth stack does not have such a option.
You can solve a part of this problem by using "Dr.Yar bluetooth 1.51" software. It will add FTP bluetooth profile for your phone and it will give you a ability to choose the folder for saving files.
But!
Some sending devices use OBEX file transfer instead of using FTP bluetooth file transfer. For this cases standard MS OBEX profile will be used and files will be saved into "/My Documents" folder.
This software works great; be sure to double-click the bluetooth icon to Start the program.

I have just received my Sprint Mogul and would like to send files over bluetooth but I cant seem to do so. Is there anyway to do this without paying for a program like Resco File explorer because this is a very important feature for me.
Here is what u need
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=316107
download the KAISER BT Client with this you will be able to send and receive files over Bluetooth
so i just download the BT FTP client and install it like any other program.
I have Resco but I had problems transferring files via BT even with that. The Kaiser's BT FTP app took care of that. Since then I've no problems tranferring between my Mogul and other PDA's as well as my laptop.
I have a problem with the OBEX File Transfer. At the moment i installed CRCs 13.0 Release.
I tried to enable this OBEX feature with the advanced config tool but my notebook still does not find the OBEX gateway.
How can I enable this feature? (Beam is already enabled)
P.S Even my notebook can not find the Obex gateway, my Nokia 6320i is able to exchange data with the hermes device
Is there an app or something for WP7 on my HD2 that enables Bluetooth file transfer?
I think bluetooth FTP is not supported by WP7
So I can't even receive files?
it is
Bluetooth OBEX or File Transfer is supported: see the registry entries, but I cannot figure it out how to actually make it work because the registry entries have the service OBEX enabled.
