HTC Camera Problem...

Please, only post answers and not anything useless. I am having a problem using the new HTC Camera 6.8 from the Raphael on my Tilt. I used the OEM Package to cook it in, but when I launch it, it comes says:
Unable to initialize camera. There is not enough memory to launch the Camera. Do you want to stop running some programs?

I click "Yes" and it brings a dark screen it, and I have to end the application to press the End Key. Is there a fix for this?

have you tried cooking in the original camera oem and using the cab file from that same post?
from memory the file needed to be signed to specific devices.

I am not a rom cooker and not understand in this stuff
but I get exactly the same problem with the same message when I flashed my Cruise with a new rom has HTC camera 6.8, and after searching I found that to solve this problem I must upgrade the radio rom to latest one, I do and the camera working

are you sure you had this exact problem?
I don't think the radio has anything to do with it, but I'm just curious

sure, I get the same message and black blank screen in camera
may be same indication but with difference reason

you might try talking to Sakajati ... he has cooked this camera into several of his roms. ... hope this helps

well im getting this notion to, when you push the oke button on ur tilt u will actually get a menu that will show "memory usage files" only mine stays clear:X
im working with the new protege rom from sakajati but dang just wanted that new camera. ( 22oktversion.)

Yes but it's only tabs for calls and faforites type HD.
I only want a stock tab.

Stock tab,calls and favorites type HD but it's take +- 20mb storage. That's why i want just a cab with the stock tab.

thanks for the link; but are we required to install something else prior to it as i didnt work with me.

The Stock Tab uses some new features in the manila.exe, so you NEED the whole Manila HD package for using it!

i had guessed that.
Looks like that installing the stock tab ONLY is not a possibility

To use just Stocks Tab, might be a tad hard for some, because on some roms might not work at all,it uses HD manila engine, try Xboxmod autostart prog for manila, it´s somewhere in Diamond forum, .

Yes that one, First install stocks tab, then HD Loader.

well, i did try it out, but it didnt work touchflo just keeps on trying to launch itself.
had restarted after installation of each file. Any clue on what possibly went wrong.
EDIT: i'm using Stock 2.03 WWE-ME ROM.

It doesn´t work on some roms, i know that on AZTOR roms works fine, never tried on stock roms.
That´s the procedure, first stocks tab then hdloader.

...i think i'l go for the full version...or maybe not.

wondering if it is possible to install touchflo 3d on 3lit3vi full rom on polaris?? if it is possible,can someone link me to the cabs or something.

You need 3d drivers and those drivers are incompatible with this rom.
So it is imposible to run T3D.

TF3D you can run with 3D drivers installed, but its incompatibility with display light on/off...

Where did you hear that the power management issue had been fixed?
btw, I recommend maxnipers omnio for trouble free driver use.. I've gone back to it myself.

Remade WM 6.1 1.27.707.1 WWE

If you want a Fast , Stable, Pretty WM 6.1 rom well here it is. The taskbar icons are not included sorry. It works Excellent on my Opal, No problems.

Ok,tell me what need to be fixed.

The Taskbar is in VGA may be QVGA,
The ROM is very heavy and sometimes lock

Did you read the first post? The only patched shell i know of is for the timebomb, i don't know of any problems with the menu.

Do you remove your sim and memory card before you flash your phone? Also when you flash the phone and it boots up don't let the screen go off, i have noticed this causes problems.
I have been using this rom for a few days now with no problems!!!

Check out post #12. Sometimes it installs in one shot and sometimes it gets stuck,sadly i don't know what causes it.When it boots for the first time to the today or touchflo screen give it a little time, things are still loading so if you start using it right away it will be slow.I don't use explorer,try using Opera or Skyfire.

in order to get right menu anywhere and resolved the disable outlook enhancement in the oem packages, also something else needs to be disbaled in order to make customization run from 1st time. the arabic package and HTC Mega mailla will be uploaded to u soon man. i really thank you so much. but you may need to change the radio also, because this rom is battery eater

Yes man,i know about outlook enhancement,i left it out in the rom, i made a new rom with manila 2d update 20 and also replaced some old packages with some new ones and it booted straight to customization without any problems and seems to be working good so far but i will not upload it until i am sure it works good.I have taken all the icons from Mega manila 2d version 2 and replaced the icons and background in the ordinary manila 2d update 20 because it works better and there is a weather fix for it.
Until then i will be waiting on those files from you.

[Question] Manila 2 or 2.1 with Stock Rom

OK, to make a long story short;
I would love to have my original Stock Rom with Manila 2 or 2.1.
If you want to know why I can summarize in the following points.
1- Win 6.1 is a lot faster.
2- Stock ROm with Stock Radio and Stock SPL will not VOID warranty is the phone is unusable and not able to reflash.
3- Manila 2 and 2.1 has the HTC contact Manager which allow me to link my contacts on my phone with there FaceBook accounts which is a feature that I love.
So Now you know.
If you can Help me I would highly appreciate it.

I don't think there is any way of achieving that I'm afraid.
I use Dutty's v4.3 which is WM6.1 with Manila 2.1

If you flash with USPL, you can keep the stock SPL on the phone... unfortunately an updated radio is included in the ROM and of course, it replaces the original ROM.
If you're still against using a cooked ROM (you have valid reason for wanting to do so), try SPB Mobile Shell or another UI as I know with SPB, it has Facebook integration (the latest version 3.5 definitely does at least).

I am not against cooked Roms, I actually tried every single one of them 6.1 and 6.5 Manila and Titanium.
That is what drove me to the conclusion that all I need is Manila 2.x so I can get the face-book update of my contacts.
All I really need is a fast rom and the fastest is always the StockRom which also comes pre equipped with Arabic (my mother tongue) but with all cooked Roms I have to add Arabic manually.
So what I am searching for currently is a way to integrate Manila 2.x with my stock Rom, even if I recook my stock Rom (have to look like it was Original Though). Or maybe a way to temporary disable Manila and replace needed files in the stock rom and then re-enabling it again thus will have manila 2.x.
I don;t really know but I am trying to think of something.

There is no way to install manila as a cab. The only way to get it is by flashing a ROM containing it.

No problem. But i'm skeptical about this working on a stock ROM with Manila built in and such a low build of WM 6.1. But who knows, it might.

Wow. I didn't even think of that... I forgot what forum this question was posted in. A WVGA version would be even easier to get since it doesn't have to be ported much.... I just don't know where to look. I'll see if I can find one.
