I'm thinking of buying a Bluetooth gps for the car.
Does anybody know if it is possible to have the gps paired and the phone paired to the car kit?
I don't want to choose between the carkit or the gps.
(anybody knows a good GPS BT with TMC?)
thanks,
Bart

Hello,
I wonder if the i-Mate Jam can make 2 bluetooth connections at se same time. I explain myself. I want to make a BT connection with my GPS and also with my BT Handsfree Car Kit.
If this is possible I can use the TomTom soft earing the indications trought the speakers of the car.

Yes it can, I use the TomTom Bluetooth GPS and the BT Jabra 200 headset at the same time with no problems.
I use the standard magician bluetooth stack, no tools or upgrades or anything.
I can confirm this. I tried it with a TomTom Bluetooth GPS and a Jabra BT-250. It worked with the standard bluetooth stack.

Looking for a quick reply here. I'm considering getting a bluetooth car radio and need to know if my exec can be connected to it (as a hands free phone) as well as to my BT-77 GPS bluetooth reciever for my TomTom 5 sat nav application - at the same time... The car radio i'm considering is the Pioneer DEH-P55 or DEH-P70 series.
Is it possible?
Thanks in advance.
i don't know if it will work with you, but i used to connect my jasjar to my pc as AS and DUN at the same time, with my jabra bt500 connected to it simultaneously.
I use a Parrot Car kit (or Bluetooth Headset) at the same time as a BT77. So as long as your radio supports the "handsfree" profile, I don't see why it shouldn't work.
Cheers,
Steve.
Hi,
I was wondering, is it possible to use bluetooth car kit on a Wizard at the same time it is using its bluetooth connection to talk to a bluetooth GPS dongle (Holux 236)?
TIA
i use a parrot car bt car kit and the same holux gps receiver sometimes at the same time and have no problems.
I also use a Holux 236 and talk with my earpiece at the same time. I haven't had any problems yet.
Nice one, thanks for that.
This should be perfectly possible.
The Bluetooth standard v1.2 allows a device to connect to multiple devices via bluetooth at the same time.
Not sure on the exact specs, but can imagine the device time splitting data from multiple devices with certain connection types having different priorities?!?!
So, having a BT Headset and GPS at same time - headset device should be ok, but GPS data may be slower to update....
Thanks again.
Hi,
I have a sony bluetooth handsfree car kit (HCB-30) installed in my car, my UK Voda 1605 works fine with it. I was thinking of getting Tom Tom 6 and a bluetooth GPS reciever as well.
What I want to know is will I still be able to receive calls through the blutooth car kit while using Tom Tom and the bluetooth GPS receiver to navigate.
Thanks for any advice.
yes you can.
I do the same with my stereo headset or standard mono BT headset with a GlobalSat GPS and TT6
Enjoy
I have a Nike and also got a Jabra BT3030 bluetooth headset and a Freecom keychain GPS.
When the GPS is connected and I turn on the headset, the GPS drops out, is there a way to have them both running together?
Thanks
Jonny
I use a Dual too, and in my car I have:
Parrot hands-free (BT)
GPS receiver (BT)
Each time I enter my car, the parrot detects and connects to dual, and the GPS conects either.
Even when I am in call the gps continue to refresh without problems
It works with my other bluetooth head set but this jabra one is a stereo headset with hands free.
