Is there any way of adding languages to the T9 list?
I have an English phone which supports French, Italian, German & Spanish in the T9 drop down list, but I'd like to use Dutch word-suggestion every now and then if possible..

Did you install the cab-file on the device itself or on the SD-card? When you have installed it on the SD-card, it won't work (I tried it myself earlier on ). Install it on the device, and it will work.
this cab file did not give me the choice to install on internal mem or storage card like most cab files do. so i assume it is installed to internal mem.
i just tried it again to verify this. maybe it does not work on all touch hd's?
anyway thank you for your reply.
btw does it show at your "settings" remove programs? when it did not work i wanted to remove the data but it does not show overthere either.
when i installed it it said "installed succsesfully"
One thing I noticed was that the language item 'Dutch' DOES appear in the touchflo keyboard choice (triangle next to the square icon at the bottom when typing text) even tho the T9 language OPTION remains blank.

Same here, the cab from the-equinoxe did not ask anything just installs, no DUTCH option. (when reinstalling it says it will remove the existing installation but then says it cannot)
The one from Molski asked so I installed on the device.
But it did not give me a DUTCH option in the languages either.
It did show up in Add/Remove and could be removed.
try the T9 Input 14 Languages Update.cab first and otherwise the Dutch T9 Dictionary Enable.cab
The Molski Dutch T9 link I posted in the first place was the last one I installed on my machine and therefore assumed that that was the right one, but perhaps it's a combination of these three..?
Wonderful!
That first one worked.
Thanks a bunch!!!!
Rhtizzy, thank you for your help, the "T9 Input 14 Languages Update.cab" did the trick for me.
(i did not try all the other languages but english & dutch are the only important ones to me.

I don't see the fuss about the rotate icon. You could write your own in 5 minutes or less.

Thanks V - i dont know about 5 mins - maybe for you being a wizzo programmer and all! But for the rest of us 5 days more like
kool neat although there isnt too much need for the button, seeing as however you use the device it auto rotates the screen and it gets it right

Doesn't work for me
I tried this screen rotate fix on my TyTn (HTC Rom 1.35), and it doesn't work.
I looked at this, but quite frankly there are so many apps that include this as an included feature...
It does't work on my TyTN (ROM 2.11.258.1) ... Neiter the xelashiu's solution, nor vijay555's registry keys...
Is there a solution?!
Dear Friends,
After Installing "Slide to Answer/Ignore" on my HTC Diamond with stock(1.93) ROM my dialer has changed, i mean when a key is pressed the buttons have changed to what you can see in the picture.
Would you provide me the images or a .cab file to restore my dialer while keeping the "Slide to answer/ignore" application?

Try uninstalling the slide-to-answer cab and then soft reset.
If that fixes the images, try a different cab to reinstall the slide-to-answer. This one is good: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=466519

Dear mate,
i did uninstalled it but it didn't make my dialer back,still the problem remains.now i'm going to test the V3 version but i'm not optimistic on solving this issue,i'm trying to find a way to make the dialer back while keeping the "Slide to..." application.
Installing the other dialer that I recommended will only help after you have managed to fix your button problems because that version does not alter any button images.
A hard reset will fix your problems but there are some other less-severe options.
You need to delete all of the dialer images so that your ROM copies become visible again. You could do this yourself in Total Commander or Resco Explorer, or do it another way. One way would be to uninstall all dialers then install a full-dialer cab, before uninstalling it again.
Hope this makes sense.
Edit: You could try this one, then unistall it:

Thanks mate,that solved my problem
Hi aminsamizadeh,
I'm having the same problem you did with the dialer and it's due to the same installation of the Slider.
I did try uninstalling the slider but the corruption with the keypad was still present.
I presume you resolved your issue by hard reset or did you try what was previously suggested? If so could you explain in detail which files need removing?
Or if anyone does have cab or have original dialer files that I can install, I would be grateful.
Thanks in advance.
Solved problem located copy of original bmp for pressed buttons and replaced, everything back to normal
Dear Xavier,
I solved that problem by installing the the cab file in the 2nd or 3rd post in this thread then uninstalling it,dialer reverted to the priginal state,anyway glad to know you got rid of shared problem.
Hey folks,
i have had some requests for my program icons so i decided to post them

NOTES
=====
1. This cab will install the following
icon.dll (required for the icons to your windows directory)
Folders with my icons to your start->programs menu
2. The folders that will be installed have been given an ENGLISH name. If you have your default folders in another language, you will end up with your original ones PLUS my own folders.
===================
CUSTOMIZE YOUR FOLDERS
===================
1. Using a file explorer navigate to /windows/start menu/programs
2. Every folder (from my skin, has its own icon.lnk file. You can copy that to any folder you like to give it the same icon
3. Put that mess in a nice organized order!!!

Thanks, they are cool. looks great with the new rhodium icons.
Thanks
Excellent. These might end up in my ROM, if I can get evrything else working. Seems like nobody wants to share the Rhodium commanager, which is all I need to make more progress. Thumbs up
Here's some I put together. Not quite as nice, but effective.
Same install instuctions as Gianni86's folder icons.

Hi Giannis86,
Could you please list the Folder namesyou have created........
its the same names as in the screenshot (1st post)
Very nice, Thanks It definetly cleans everything up. You sure have been busy, I also love your FingerKeyBoard!
Kindle Fire interface (stock launcher) and programs in Romanian (or any other available language)!
Actually, Amazon did not delete the Android localization as it would seem at first sight. It was just hidden. And it can be unhidden back! Here I describe how I did it.
Code:
[COLOR="Red"]Careful though!
!!!Making it in the wrong sequence or not doing it correctly might BRICK your KF!!!!
(So you do it on your own responsibility)[/COLOR]
1. Have a Rooted KF device (best done with Kindle Fire Utility - search this forum)
2. Just to be sure you don't mess things around, install TWRP and create a backup of your KF. (best done with Kindle Fire Utility - search this forum)
You can ignore this step if you are 100% sure you will not make mistakes
3. Because these 6 stock system fonts are not Unicode, and though, will not show (at all) the non Latin (non Western European) characters, you will need to replace the following fonts from KF with Unicode fonts first:
/system/fonts
LTe50259.ttf
LTe50260.ttf
LTe50261.ttf
LTe50262.ttf
LTe50872.ttf
LTe50922.ttf
The best font replacement I found is the good old Arial from Win7. It has almost all Unicode glyphs needed to show well on the screen (Greek, Cyrillic, Central European, Arabic, Hebrew...).
Just copy the 6 replacement fonts in a folder of your PC and rename them accordingly to the names of KF. Android is case sensitive, so be sure the names are EXACTLY the same. After that, copy the files on SD card of KF, and then, with Root Explorer , option Mount R/W, in the system fonts directory of KF.
7. To every of the 6 replaced files, you need to restore default R/W options and Owner, with Root Explorer, as follows:
Code:
[B]READ:[/B]
[COLOR="DarkOrange"]Owner, Group, Others[/COLOR]
[B]WRITE:[/B]
[COLOR="darkorange"]Owner[/COLOR]
--------------------
[B]OWNER:[/B]
[COLOR="darkorange"]Owner: 0 - root
Group: 0 - root[/COLOR]
[COLOR="Red"]ANY mistake at this step might brick the KF after restarting,
so please check these options twice for every file! [/COLOR]
8. Install and change the interface language to Romanian with the app from this page:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1404966
Thanks go to mtorres!
9. Restart KF
10. The apps that have a localization in the language you choose for the system will automatically change the interface language when you launch them.
11. Enjoy!
Images:
http://imgur.com/a/OdKa0
_____
PS: a) as the hidden localizations were not adapted for KF, some stock words might remain in English
b) a drawback is that KF Keyboard options are force closing when accessed. You can only access them when in English US/UK language. No need to restart KF when doing this though. Hope someone will find a workaround in the near future? SOLVED: you need to install ICS Keyboard (by VLLWP) from market -- the ics keyboard itself will not be accessible, but the KF menu and keyboard will be accessible instead.

My Samsung Keyboard has disappeared. Whatever application I'm in I cannot type any word. Not with letters and not with handwriting. There is an empty rectangle at the bottom where the keyboard should be (see picture). It does not show keys and also it does nothing when I tap onto the empty space. Google voice typing does work.

More information about my phone and what I have done, trying to be complete:
Device type: Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 (GT-S7710) (no separate subforum for this one yet). I had been flashing a custom system.img to it using linux heimdall. After flashing the system.img it did not boot, so I re-flashed images from the stock rom (GT-S7710/PHN/S7710XXAMB5.html). That made the device boot again. But as said: it did not have the samsung keyboard or it crashes every time. Not sure.
This is what I already tried to get it back, but to no avail:
clear cache and force stop for Samsung Keyboard, Google Services and Media Storage
restore to factory default from system menu
wipe cache and wipe data/restore to factory from recovery
reflash with S7710XXAMB6_OXEAMB3.zip (a full service ROM with images for more partitions)
see if samsung would update the system (samsung wouldn't: it was up-to-date)
download languages for input methods and selected English(UK) for all
disable bloatware
rebooted after all things I tried
Hoping for advise or pointers into a direction to search further. Anyway thanks for reading.
The keyboard re-appeared and I would like to understand why. This is what I had done in the meantime:
installed Swiftkey Trial
had an update for Samsung Push Service
did a restore in Helium backup app
rooted by flashing system image with su binary
Thanks for any thoughts about the crashing Samsung Keyboard (and the mysterious revival )

What to do?
