By accident installed an updated theme cab and now my touchflo interface is looking just like the DIAMOND.
i did a full back up last night and have restored it, my icons have returned but the the touch flo is sized for the diamond screen.
What's required to reset to factory settings ? so i can restore my back up again to a full size manilla. any ideas ?
many thanks in advance.
EDIT : found the restore to default in the touch flo config. hope this restores the screen size so i can just install the theme icons again.
EDIT : Fixed. restored back up and everything is now back to normal.
bit of nightmare that experience but worth doing to check the backup/restore functionality works.

OMG, I so pissed.
Here it is in a nutshell.
I upgraded my ROM to dutty's 1.9b EXTREME ROM. It works perfect. I spent 3 or 4 hours last night getting everything setup.
I decided to try the blue theme made for dutty's extreme. It didn't work for me. It left the screen half-done. I got the analog clock, etc, etc.
I thought it was stupid of me to forget to back the phone up before I tried the theme so I had to reinstall the ROM at least 3-4 times. (Each time I'd get something wierd)
So, I got it all setup tonight, reinstalled all my software, etc, etc.
I backed up the phone using sprite and tried again to reinstall the blue theme for dutty's EXTREME 1.9b.
Again, I got it half on the screen and it simply won't work.
I'm cool with that but there is no way to uninstall it. So I restored my backup.
Unfortunately, it left the half installed theme on the screen.
I read that you should install TF3D configurator from the Diamond and you can restore it back to it's default.
Apparently TF3D configurator is not compatible with 1.9b EXTREME.
I keep getting "An unexpected error has occurred in Diamond TF3D config.exe"
Point is, can anyone tell me how to remove a theme without reinstalling my ROM again. I really don't want to do it AGAIN!!!
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Mark
delete all the .manila files in your windows directory I think, can't delete the ones in ROM so will revert to original. None of the TF3D edits work with the new version.
Thanks, I already reflashed it. I figured since I did a backup this time, I could install the new ROM, do a hard reset and do a backup.
Took me all of 5-10 minutes.
Much easier with a backup.
Thanks,
Mark
EDIT: Mods, feel free to delete this. Sorry for the wasted space. Thanks.
1-what is ROM ?
2-if it put tf3d rom or another it will delete all files in the system ( like hard reset ) ?
3-is tf3d is like a panel ( spb mobile shell ) or will delete windows mobile system?
4-what is GeoTagging in camera ?
thanks
From what ive gathered by using roms my self... i have found the following:
1. What is a rom?
it is basically the thing that make the user interface look the way it looks. The default windows today panel is the default rom which the phone comes with. TF3D rom will replace that and make it look like a HTC Touch HD. you can install it as a panel by following this link-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=441439&highlight=tf3d+panel
Download TouchFlo3D on Xperia X1 cab and TouchFlo3D as Panel Installer Installer.
Install TF3d first, softreset, then go to settings, today, items and untick every thing. then soft reset.
Now install TF3d panel installer. soft reset. then just choose the panelas younormally would.
2. A rom will edit certain windows files to make it look and behave in a different way, but it would still be the windows interface. if you install another rom, it will erase all files on phone. and replace certain windows files.
3. see q 1
4. Dont know what geo tagging is??
thanks alot
but when i install the tochflo 3d beta 3 and made everything then when i press on the panel it writes to me loading in a white screen and notheing occure ??
UPDATE: 26/10/2009 Firstly I would like to apologise for the lack of updates but I have had a very busy last few weeks both personally anred professionally.
I have now completely rewritten the .cpr file to be better suited to our phones and although you may not find it exactly the same as the original Titanium, I think its a good effort and a good match. Again this is a BETA release, so everything may not be perfect. I am also working on being able to change between Titanium and Sliding Panels, but I don't when I can complete that. Thank you to all those who have already downloaded.

After having downloaded ALEUT's new 6.5 rom last nite, I started to work on a few things. So far I have made Titanium work for 176x220 screens, but please remember this is a very early alpha and has been ported from a 240x320 .cpr file, and I am continuing to work to make it work properly.
The second thing is that ALEUT's 6.5 Menu Style was a bit green for my liking, so I decided to make a blue one instead and thought it would be nice to share it.
I've been a long time reader and user of XDA, but rarely have posted my works. Hope someone might find them useful.
Dear neodoughnut
its really nice theme but there is a problem in this theme after fresh installation when i install it it works fine but when i install something eles any app then after restart there is no more that themes remain in my Spv c500 i tried again and again but same problem?
Luckylips: I'm sorry to hear that you are encountering this problem. I've installed most of my regular apps since having installed the MenuStyle but haven't had any problems so far. Is there any app in particular that causes this or is just anything that install?
Well i don't think there is any particular app ! whatever i install and after that when i reboot my cell theme is no more!!
Is there any plugins that can be used for this titanium? I mean, weather, launcher, or etc?

No more Homescreen available... :-(
Hello,
I seem to have the same problem with the Titanium theme. I installed it and once I reboot, no more Home Screen can be found.
About the new files from the fix? Where do I have to put them? \Application\Home ? Is there a way i can edit a file to get back to the normal homescreen? I really do not want to reset my phone to defaults.
I hope somebody can help me out here.
Thanks
@oolinger
u should copy them in \aplication data\home.
then select titanum home screen in setting>homescreen
but the main problem of this cab is cpr file u shold use this cpr
With the new .cpr you gave on desktop appears the message:
"The layout you have selected cannot be loaded...please use...."

Hard reset will fix it
finally gave in and did the hard reset...thought I would check to see if it were fixable otherwise..Thanks
Always look to see if things are compatible! There are many different Manila mods out there, and they have to be compatible with your ROM Manila.
recently, i havent been able to install themes downloaded from this forum successfully.
One of the theme i tried is anastasia and dinik theme. My whole clock is missing! icons missing on my home page. My slider( home page) cant moved. The only thing on my home page now is the weather. Now there is 'Title' word on the middle of my home page permanently too. somehow bits of my old theme is on my home page as well. Which weird because i deleted the old theme thru Device>Windows>Appmgr.
This happened before when i used another theme.clock, icon missing.
And now my phone doesnt go to lock screen anymore. I didnt change the settings at all.
My rom version is 1.48.
Pls help i've been having this prob for weeks alrdy. Thanks!
back up and hard reset would be my suggestion.
Oh no! Would u tell what caused this prob ? so that i wont repeat the same mistake again.
And hard reset-> my phone contacts gone too? how do i back up?
sorry for the trouble thanks.
you have probably installed a theme/tweak or mod that is incompatible with the version of either manila or windows that your device is running.
tons of methods to back up.personally all I do is sync my contacts with outlook.thats all I back up.
PHP:
But why doesnt my phone theme not return to the original theme even if i delete the downloaded theme?
Why is that even if i deleted a downloaded icon file or theme, it still remains in the display on my phone page?
sry asking so many qns.
When you install new mods and themes it quite often overwrites the existing files that you would consider the "original theme". So uninstalling does not bring the old files back - it just deletes the new ones.
As samsamuel says, a hard reset is probably your best bet.
Incidentally, whenever your lockscreen doesn't appear when you lock the phone, or when you can't open emails by clicking the preview in the email tab, go to start and then lock (bottom left menu option). That fixes that problem temporarily. The only permanent fix I know for that is a ROM upgrade, as 1.48 is oooooooooold now!
Kill 2 birds with 1 stone and just flash a new ROM.
it could be that the theme is badly written and just overwrites files that then cannot be restored, or the theme wasn't for your system so it's messed the registry, who knows? not me!
Oh. Thanks alot guys!
your help is greatly appreciated!
