Hey, do you guys know any HTC Touch HD sellers that ship from the USA so i dont have to deal with USA customs? It would be great if you can recommend the lowest price/best service. Ty!
Just got mine from Overseas Electronics (http://www.welectronics.com/contact.shtml) - they were same price as the other US guys, and it come overnight for $ 25. No Customs issues or anything - they were terrific. Called yesterday and ordered, and it was here by Noon today.
I got mine from Smart Mobile Gadgets, they based in California.
$750 total (including free shipping).
I ordered mine last Friday and received it yesterday Monday.
I cannot say anything but... excellent service!
(They even put in a British to US adapter, though this makes the charger bulky, but without it, the charger cannot be used here as it has British plug).

I wanted to order from Clove (UK) but not very confident as I can never be sure how much actually the cost will be, and how long before it come it, plus the possibility of custom issue.
Got mine from Expansys. Got here in 2 days.

I am looking to buy one sim free but will return it for a complete refund if there are any dead pixels or other faults etc. So which vendors have people have good experiences with, particularly on the no quibles refund department?
Play.com (currently one of the cheapest inc 4% quidco discount)
Devicewire
Clove
Handtec
Expansys (though they are Expansive at the moment)
any others?
well, clove.co.uk is a good choice. but as you see. there is completely no vendors could guarantee no dead pixels. they only guarantee 0-3.

I know that, but they are bound by law (long distance selling, I believe) to offer a full refund, without the buyer needing to have a reason as long as it is within the first 7 days. So I was thinking I would return it and say I didnt like the device if it did happen to have any dead pixels.
I wanted to know which vendors people have had good experience with in getting full refund and any to avoid.
I have had excellent experience more than once with Clove Tech.
Before I got the excellent HTC HD I bought a Samsung Omnia (rubbish) and Clove took it back no questions asked.
Their service is v. fast and prices are OK.
Got mine from Play, arrived next day, no dead pixels. Expansys' price for the sim free HD is an insult.
Edit: actually just checked their price it has dropped down to £549.99 it was £604 a couple of days ago, still play is £50 cheaper.

Hi there, did you get an 8GB micro SD card in the box from Play.com, their website doesn't mention it, but Clove's does.
according to the other topic on this subject(lists places where you in get sim free, in order of price), carphone warehouse are doing it on O2 PAYG for £450(instore not online).
Is there any vendor out there that has a HD for under 700 bucks? I want one but its expensive and heck. . .
Will have to check out the Carphone warehouse deal, have a feeling it will be all sold out though. Anyone have any experience of Devicewire as a company, they seem to have reasonable terms and conditions regarding non faulty returns, and they price match too.
My advice is just dont buy one..in saying this Im only thinking of you and the fact that if after the seven days you had a dead pixel from where im standing I could just see you cutting your wrists
I know it might sound amazing but the truth of the fact is that in todays lcd technology there is still a chance not matter what that you might endup with dead pixels and that just a fact that you will have to live up to
Mine actually aparently came with a couple of dead pixels at from day one and tbh they where neglegible but now after about three weeks they seem to have resurected!! ALELUIAH!!
like the first guy said espansys or mobileplanet which are one in the same... it may look higher in price but u get everything but a hoslter and or case for it, most sites ive seen will say there adding the 8gig sd card for extra money or for free but mobileplanet will protect u if anything happens as far as the phone lockin up on u from a master rest
Bought one
Ended up buying one from Handtec in the end, delivered next day and no dead pixels thankfully. The Carphone warehouse didn't have one in any of their branches nor did they know when they will be getting any more (so pretty useless).
Got mine from ebay...
If you are experienced with ebay, then due to the currently low value of the british pound, it is the cheapest to get it from ebay.co.uk.
I got mine (including shipping) for ~595 USD.
That is in Europe with VAT.
Also, I wouldn't care that much about "simfree".
You can unlock it @ htccode.com for 18 euro...

That's a really good idea! It dramatically reduced the cost that I was expecting for the HD, now I would have paid $720 now its like $603.
Goto Carphone Warehouse.. Then ask to buy the phone with an O2 Pay as you Go Sim.
They will sell it to you for £440 + a £10 top up for the O2 sim.
Got mine just before christmas with this deal and no waiting for delivery from anywhere
The phone comes unlocked and I have a spare unused payg sim card now.
Thats if they have stock. In the first store I went into they didnt even know this deal was available but then they had no stock, but they did a search for other nearby stores with phones available for me and it was only a short drive away.
As I mentioned in post no 12 not a single branch of carphone warehouse had any in stock, when the guy checked from the branch I went to, and they didn't know when they would be getting any more. Obviously due to it being such a good deal. You are one of the lucky ones to have got in there early.

Not with this phone they can't. That's what I was told by the 2 branches I went to anyway.
Simple question and I'm lost on it:
Where can I find a Touch HD for the lowest price in the US? The lack of US 3G doesn't matter to me (I live in an EDGE area) and I'd like something nice to replace this half-baked RAZR.
Try mobilecityonline.com or j&R.com
both are located in NY and have good rep
got mine at cellhut for 695
there are pleanty of usa sellers on EBAY.

I would suggest mobilecityonline, as J&R will NOT let you return a phone unless it is seriously defective. Mobilecityonline takes returns within 14 days and a 10% restock fee. they also tend to have much lower prices than J&R and just about everyone else.
I bought mine from this seller on e-bay
http://stores.ebay.com/x1387_Panasonic-LG-Other-Brands_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZQ2d1QQfsubZ3QQftidZ2QQtZkm
came with a 8GB card / screen protector / desk pad / etc.
I also got free next day shipping from Hong Kong. First class service.
I'm interested in this phone, but any good reliable online store??
Superetrader is only £379.99, which is very good price, but have not used them.
Amazon was selling it £379.99 too, but i missed it, now they are selling it £408
Mine was delivered today. Got it from Expansys for £399 + free next day delivery. I was oing to buy from Amazon but they increased their price to £408 and u would still need to pay like £6 for next day delivery. Expansys is quite reliable. I would rate them second to Amazon.
I once bought a phone (TyTN II) from a company called Handtec and they sold me a grey import so I have learnt to stay clear of those small traders when spending a lot of money on a phone.
By the way the Desire Z is a fantastic phone and I am still in awe!
Got mine from SuperEtrader, excellent service and they were actually the first to ship any stock in the UK I think. Their aftersales was very good when I had a hinge query too.
Andre
mine is from carphonewarehouse, i got it for free as i am just extended my orange contract, and the bonus, phone is unlocked
since use have t-mobile in england do yous get the G2 or the desire z?
i heard that expansys stock level is not correct on their website, and the order often delay because of this.
Superetrader sound pretty good! Did you get it straight from their website or their ebay store?
Handtec
me and my friend both brought from Handtec. There is a thread with almost 2000+ regarding the desire HD alot of people brought theirs from them.

We have the DZ,... But it is not officialy supported by T-mobile, nor is it available from them direct. I have it on T-mobile but ordered from an online retailer, they apparently buy the handsets unlocked in bulk to be able to offer almost any available handset on any network and tariff,...
I'll be getting this phone with in the next month, but I was curious what outlets you guys are aware of that are selling the phone.
I saw it on amazon 2 weeks ago for $900.00. Today its around $700, but I wanted to know if you guys knew of anywhere with even better deals.
It's a long shot I know, but I figure it is worth asking. Thanks
I would like to know this too. Seems the 'Hands Down Cheapest Place to Buy' thread is dead
Every day I scour XDA, Google, Ebay, etc looking for prices. I'm in Canada. With taxes, etc I think I'm looking at about $800 more or less (can anyone confirm that?). I think after Christmas I may go for this price but ideally I'm looking to pay about $700 more or less total. Then I'm worried about screen issues or a dead pixel which happened with the Nexus One I ordered from the States so I don't really want to ship it back overseas if this happens which it may judging by other threads...
So I'm looking for it to come down about another $100 but dont know if/when this will happen.
And ideally would like it to be released in Canada or even the US so I don't have to get it shipped which may lower that cost? But don't know if or when that will happen.
Then there is the fear that Samsung will discontinue it and I'll never get one or the prices will shoot up or something?
http://www.handtec.co.uk/product.php/5504/samsung-galaxy-note--16gb--sim-free-unlocked-
About $670 without VAT. From what I've seen in other threads, it doesn't apply if you're outside the EU. I think that might take the cake as the cheapest?
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galax...RDX6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1322262246&sr=8-1
Also Amazon has a couple different sellers with the SGN in stock. Around low 700-750s. Most of these are in the US which would be better in case of a defect.

I ordered mine from HandTec when they had it listed briefly for £418.99 plus £14.99 shipping, for a total of £433.98, (which PayPal converted to $697.46), but HandTec has put the price back to £434.90 + shipping since I ordered. May still be the best price, however.
OTOH, Amazon now has a Prime 2-day shipping seller for $739. I'd pay the extra $40 or so bucks to have Amazon peace of mind if I had seen a price that good 4 days ago.

The new issue with handtec is that fedex will charge you 30 $ 1-2weeks after u get the phone
So because I'm in Canada I'm looking at around $800
But if I was in the US or UK I'd be looking at around $700
Same thread and a few tips in here.. UK, US, CA, India, HK..... sources...

Hands Down Cheapest...
Well I still think Clove.co.uk is the best place to buy at this time simply because they're including a matching Samsung OEM Flip Case free! Also, being a commodity and having the price fluxuate by the hour (literally) keep checking MobileCityOnline.com too!
These two places at one point during the day can hit anywhere from $699 - $729 at the absolute lowest. But keep in mind Clove.co.uk INCLUDES the free Samsung OEM Flip Case. For some that's a deal maker plus most other outlets are selling this same flip case for $65 on average.
That is why if you catch Clove on the lower end of price fluxuation it's such a good deal. You won't go wrong choosing either one of these retailers that's the good news. The only possible bad news is at what price you'll end up paying for your Note.
Anyway you do it - your going to LOVE THIS PHABLET!
Abso - ****ing - lutly love it... quote me on that too.
Happy Hunting boys and girls.

Charge $30 for what? FedEx hasn't charged me anything in the States for ordering from Handtec.
By far cheapest place to buy this phone is from India.
You get this phone for about US$ 615-620 range which includes official Samsung flip cover in the package.
If there is significant interest from people in states or UK, some of you guys can get in touch with some ebay.in sellers with good reputation and request him for shipping quote and get him to create a special thread for you guys.
Last time around with SGS2 couple of my mates from US requested a seller from ebay india this way and got him to create a private listing for them and got their SGS2.
Or if you guys trust someone from India around here in these forums, get him to purchase phones and paypal the funds to him.
Note is significantly cheaper here than anywhere else from what I have seen online.
DWI have the Note for $635 Australian this weekend and if you use the code LIKEDWI you get free priority shipping.

These are shipped from Hong Kong, no idea if they are actually in stock or sourced once the order has gone through.
I ordered one on Friday, seeing $635 was my crumbling point and i couldnt resist anymore.
expansys USa $100 off GNote for net delivered $695
Use code BFNOTE during checkout and the price of the black GNote drops from $794.99 to $694.99 with free shippiong to USA address.
Hope that helps

that is a very expensive contract.
Especially taking into account the low amount of minutes and data you get.
Also paying £200 for the phone on top of the £720 is a big slap in the face...
return it and get a 'bigger' contract for less and also only pay a max. of £50 for handset

Darn! Can only select New Zealand or Australia for shipping.
Waiting, waiting, waiting for the price to come down a bit as I'm willing to pay a bit over $700 here in Canada total with shipping, tax, etc. but not willing to pay a over $800!! Just seems like too much...
I had a dream last night I was using my GNote & loving it... maybe the universe is trying to tell me to just order the darn thing
What is with Samsung's delays on being able to supply their OEM car docks and other items for new model phones?
It was months before I could track down a genuine car dock for my SGS2, and it's still nigh impossible to find one for the Note.
Does anyone know somewere that'll ship internationally that has these in stock (eBay doesn't count - people insist on outrageously expensive shipping method).
Is there a good reason for these huge delays? The Samsung MHL adaptor took a good couple of months before it was available anywhere after the SGS2 release too.
I know you said you don't like ebay (New Zealand?) - but can you buy through ebay Australia? I bought mine for $53 AUD through ebay Australia with free shipping worldwide from this guy about 1 month ago:
ebay.com.au/itm/Genuine-Samsung-Galaxy-Note-Car-Mount-Vehicle-Dock-Kit-Charger-Holder-Navigation-/260946619201?pt=AU_MobilePhoneAccessories&hash=item3cc1a16b41#shId
I just went to the site to check and was able to change the post to New Zealand.
It shouldn't be much more when converted to NZ dollars. It took about 2 weeks though to ship though!
I got my official samsung car dock in January from
Amazon UK, just had a quick look, stocks seem fine...
www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Vehicle-Do...D3FW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1334440833&sr=8-1
Where are you based? I'd be happy to help order one and forward it on, guess you'd still have long shipping times... It might be worth contacting some of the sellers on amazon UK, I'm certain they'd offer international postage.
It's a damn good dock by the way. Guess the only drawback is can't have case on, and getting it out is sometimes a bit fiddly. Sturdy as he'll though, absolutely no shake whatsoever, and suction is very strong.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
I hadn't even thought of looking on Amazon UK, Amazon USA generally don't ship that sort of thing to NZ, UK appears to be happy to though.
I'll check out that bloke on eBay, free shipping makes it a bit of a no-brainer as that's half the price of ordering it from Clove. Given that I've waited for over 2 months for it to ship from them so far, another 2 weeks won't hurt.
Cheers guys!
