Open colour scheme folder on main computer. Choose either red or green folder. Open and move dat files to your device program files: spb mobile shell directory. soft reset and colour will change. Took me a while to figure it out, but working now.

I have seen various posts about changing paths and icons in the cube, but what i would like to know is . Is there a way of having it match your today screen instead of charcoal colour. Imagine having your theme Guava bubbles and your cube reflecting the same.Would be nice if someone could come up with a way
I Think you've juste to edit and chnge each color of uour *.png installed in your Windows directory or HTCHome directory
Just copy them to your Windows Desktop to view which one you have to edit
and then replace them
The only problem is that the animations themselfs (when the cube is actualy moving) are hardcoded. It shows when you have some different icons on the cube. When rotating, the old icons appear on the locations you had new ones
I think someone was trying to edit the animation as well.
The animation is actually a sort of movie thing so it uses less resources. Its hard to change it, since no one knows the format But someone is editting it so it moves different I thought.
The animation is formed of multiple ".brn" files. There is an application to transform brn to bmp but nothing to merge from bmp to brn so for the moment no color edition is posible during the animation.
thanks for all the info people. much appreciated. i guess with time this situation will change but for now will keep default. cant see no point in changing something if its gonna use defaults as soon as you rotate.

so it would be at least possible to "debrand" a branded cube when I take the .brn files of an unbranded Touch?

Try to overwrite all the *.brn files in \windows with the attached original HTC ones and your cube should be debranded - but you have the icons from HTC and the links "behind" the icons from your provider.
It is possible that they are different.
If you want to get back simply delete all those files and your original ROM files should come back instead.
But to be save backup all your*.brn files before
I think it should also be possible to overwrite the hh_launcher*.png icons.
Simply disable the HTC Home element in your today screen settings before overwriting these files. Should work in my opinion
Where are the rest of the animation BRNs

Hey, I downloaded your zip file, but it was missing several animation brns. I'm looking for the following in the same original HTC format.
A2.brn, A4.brn, B2.brn, B4.brn, C2.brn, C4.brn
Thanks!
Or,....
You just take these "clean" files and have no icons on the rotating cube .
I'm not in a mood of sorting them out for you just download and take a look wich ones you need

Grey Taskbar
Go to start -> Settings -> Today and select the "Htc black" .tsk
(if it is already selected, choose an other first [e.g.Windows-standard] and switch then back)
Note: Because I still do NOT own a Diamond PRO myself, supporting this Device isn't easy...
the background is much better, but its going to be tough getting rid of my sprint theme.
eehm... Not really the original...
or maybe htc stole my background image squares!!

Hi,
can you post here yours background image. I want it use as today background.
Thank you
sure ...
but u know that it's a manila file... not a wallpaper...
unzip and copy the manila file to windows....
Hi!
Whats your TF3D Config version number what you use with 1.93 ROM??
Thx!
Not suitable for Raphael yet.
Thanks for the good work.
I installed it over my T-Mobile (horrific Pink theme) MDA Vario IV and looks good. Exept for the landscape screen when the keyboard is slided open. Then the orginal icons are not there at all. Perhaps something for the next update. Thanks in advance.
I noticed the same thing on my Voda branded TP. But the black theme looks absolutely brilliant. I am not going back to the original red ever.
I'm trying to modify my theme on the new 1.93 Rom from the US 3G version Diamond... I'm using Total Commander to try to modify the read only permission sets of the Manilla files so I can write over them. However it doesn't seem to be working. Are there other programs available? Trying to update to use NisseDILLIGAF background
you have to disable Touch Flo first, then just copy the manila file to windows using total commander
I've installed this, but the top and bottom bars of the screen are still o2 blue...any help?

Do u have HTC black in Today themes?
I've attached a the HTC Black.tsk, just unzip, copy it to windows and try to activate it in Today...
Thanks,
Seemed all I had to do was select a different theme, then reselect the htc theme......BINGO.... phone looks fantastic. I am now going to see what other things I am incapable of doing. I know that I will have further questions, and that I am a bit of a techno-cretin, but I hope you guys will continue to help. This is a great forum by the way, very helpful indeed.
How do I Change the Background of the Enlarge Start Menu and which manila file have this background image?
Please advice
Thank you and best regards
Seems that no body knows the answer, 75 views and no posts, great
idk but i was wondering the same...anybody
AFAIK it's not a manila file, it's in the TSK theme file.
You can change this with ThemeGenCE but be warned that the program will not handle the HTC Black theme file so you will need to start from scratch.
delete this
as far as i know the enlarged start menu will always turn gray when TF3D is enabled. the background can be changed to transparent or what ever but will only be effective with TF3D disabled.
if you disable TF3D i think the default is transparent and should show your today background as its background

It is not in the theme, because when I de-activate the enlarge start menu, then the background is the theme picture.
so it must be in the TF3d, But which file contains the image or has the color?
I have also inspected the Enlarge Start Menu Package and could not find any thing to change the background color.
Regards
its a .png file
look in registry for
HKLM\Software\HTC\EnlargeMenu\ManilaCustomTexture
it contains the path to the file (should be \Windows\stBackImage.png)
just replace it with your own
mhh.. I think it is stwater.gif in windows device folder

If you disable tf3d and change the today picture then the start menu background will change to the today background.
But once Tf3d is active then the start menu background is back to grey again.

ThemeGenCE version 2.5 does not handle HTC Black theme because there is a redondant image file in the theme :
stwater.jpg
mixed with
tdywater_480_640.gif
tdywater_640_480.gif
stwater_480_640.gif
stwater_640_480.gif
I have handle this in my beta version...

That's good news! I look forward to seeing the new version.
Sorry, was it determined to be part of the .tsk file then?
the instructions above about changing the registy key to point to your own file is the proper way to do this, the one step that was left out was to reboot. A reboot is a must!. I just setup mine by changing HKLM\Software\HTC\EnlargeMenu\ManilaCustomTexture
and rebooting teh device. Now I have the same image on teh start menu even with tf3d turned on. REBOOT!
Hi everybody,
I used to change dialer skins with DesignLab XDA Skin chooser but suddenly the skin is not changing.
Everytime I try to change it, the old one remains in use. And it's not the standard skin.
Anyone has seen this problem before?
If so how do you reset to the standard skin?
Where is it saved?
Thanks for your help
I made a VGA skin in red color , and everything else also in red for icontacts and idealer.I have even the icon of diamond as phone!
I think is very beautiful as a skin.
