RLToday on the X1 - XPERIA X1 General

Hi,
I installed RL Today on the X1 today but when I select the theme i want to use for the today screen it only appears as a tiny section under the messaging part part of the today screen. I would like to know how to get it full screen.

The default screen is QVGA. You need to find a VGA theme for RLToday. Just a word of warning; uncheck RLToday in the Today screen control panel before installing additional themes. I forgot causing the Today screen to hang. Had to carry out a hard reset to fix he problem (I lost interest in it after that).

for example use this diamond skin
extract diamond folder and copy to rltoday folder in programs folder

move today items around screen?

is there any software that i can use to move the icons or writing on my today screen so i can see my theme picture better? ive seen it online but cant find it now
Search for Scarybear if you want a spacer.
Otherwise, wisbar? PPX? Today Plus?

Scarybear no longer has the spacer plugin on their site. I looked for it several months ago, and again the other day.
I DID find a cab file called Today Empty that I use on my Today Screen. You can set the pixel height for the plugin to see your screen image.
You will need to install to the phone itself -- it will NOT work from the storage card. Once installed, go to Start>Settings>Personal>Today>Items and move the app up or down on the list to where you want it and then tap "Options" to set the pixel height.

MACrosoft Mobile 6.1

Made a skin for the hybrid (dual OS) user. For fun only.
Things used: WA3, HTC home, skins and icons from different authors, some new skinning knowledge. I dont have softkeys visible at the bottom (I use only the hard buttons) so I get more screen space. The black one below is my replacement for the green 6.1 screen.
Having Schap's Advanced Config and KaiserTweak helps in addition to the above programs user menus, and Wisbar skins by Juni are sweet. I personally photoshopped the magnifying glass in the bottom left for the popups for the new tasks, as well as the "A" for apps, and moved the settings from another HTC home customizer icon set. dThis is a fast layout that is really simple looking but everything is accessible by hardbutton maps and touchscreen UI.
I was going to call it something playing off the Parallels idea, but the Titan doesn't have enough ram to make that believable
I will give you the skins and icon folders if you like any of this.

Maybe if some people want it, I will post links to the programs and the skin files I made but I would like to learn how to skin mortplayer a bit better. I have to put together the slices so I can skin it with the same background (notice it is a mix of the default desktop backgrounds for the two OS).
dude i want it
Here is what you will need. You will need the following:
Wisbar Advanced: This is where you will use the skin from inside Macrosoft WA toolbar.zip. Install skin file while in wisbar then make sure the windows/apple icon is there in the folder. If not overwrite with the one from the archive.
HTC Home and HHC Customizer 1.0: First you will need to load the most current HTC Home and then open HHC Customizer. Download the following skins: 1. Background = Transparent 2. Clock = Segoe shaded transparent 3. Mac Leopard. I turned off weather and music. You can do what you want. You will need to put those icons in the HTC Home folder into the one on the phone in the HTC Home folder.
Macrosoft background can be opened in pictures and videos to set as background with 0% transparency.
You will need to overwrite the welcomehead.96.png file. Cut from this archive and paste to \Windows.
Next, run the macrosoft.cab for a replacement background on the phone skin.
Lastly, you will need mortplayer and then unzip vista.zip and extract vista.mpz to mortplayer's folder in \Program Files\Mortplayer then select that from the menu.
That's it. Let me know if you have problems or if I forget something.

Questions about Touchflo 3D on X1

If I was to install the touchflo 3d onto my X1, what exactly happens? Does a new panel get created specifically for Touchflo 3d? Does the X1's today panel get replaced with it? Or does the X1's entire panel interface get replaced with it? Also, what are those other Blackstone .cab's for that I see floating around?
I am new to this world, but here are my findings:
TF3D is set up as a single big element of the first today screen, and upong installing the Full Cabs of TF3D (or putting a TF3D ROM) you get it setup like this by default.
but you can easily go to setting and reconfigure your Today screen with the default elements like the Owner info and the rest of the stuff.
but there is also a TF3D as panel, that you install after having TF3D already running which creates a panel for TF3D, this my my current situation, i use the Touch-It 3.0 ROM by itje but TF3D disabled from first Today Menu and installed as Panel..
so if I want TF3D as a panel, what do I do? with some many threads and files about this, it gets a little confusing. Could you point me to the correct thread that gives the files and directions on how to get it running as a panel?

Can't change background and clock going haywire

Hi guys
Ok, first of all - this is my first post. Woohooo. K now that that's out the way, lets get down to business.
Had a new slider and clock etc and then I saw XenRed (http://www.archy.net/2008/11/15/xen-theme/) ... Decided to install it (using Diamond TF3D Config) and it works. But can't change the wallpaper. Tried using mUn BackGround4AllPages v.02 and then my clock just started ficking through numbers and sticks at 12:59. I Used Diamond TF3D Config to reset to defaults and I just can't get the wallpaper to work (I tried in Settings - Wallpaper and Start - Settings - Today - Use the Picture as the background).
I'm not a developer so I can't exactly go write my own manilla files or whatever. Does anyone have any ideas?
P.S. If possible, I wanna have a different today wallpaper to every other one but wanna customise both. I came across this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=508799
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=419799&page=53
But I don't know how to edit Manilla files. Is there a CAB that will work that I don't know about? Thanks everybody
that background for all pages has some nasy effects on some versions of the tf3d especially modded versions, theres not much you can do apart from either unistall everything to do with the tf3d and re install tf3d or hard reset and start again

Iolite M2DC Problems

Hi All,
Firstly, please go easy on me, I'm new to windows mobile.
I am having issues with my O2 Touch Cruise, I have M2D installed and M2DC and have tried a number of backgrounds but all I ever see is the blue background to the home screen. Has anyone got any ideas? Everything else changes and the background to all other tabs changes, just not the home screen.
Any ideas, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. I've looked at hh_fw_background.png in the windows directory and this image is the correct wallpaper.
Many thanks.
Mark
You should be able to change this under "Settings", "Personal", "Today". There you can select and click a picture as background. Try to use it!
Another solution would be to use M2DC for changing the order of your applications, fonts and styles.
In M2DC go to Background tab clear the path first and then use the three dot button to go to the location where your new background 'png' is located and use it as the new background.(The background photo must be in png format).
Thanks,
I now have a nice looking home screen
Mark
