Well.. It doesn't look as if anyone has answered your question, so just in case you still need help:
There are two popular programs that you can use, these would be Gyrator and gSen. If the links don't work both can be found on these forums.
Personally I like gSen better since it seems to be a little bit less "buggy". To each his own, though.

You could always just map the long-press Talk button to screen rotation. However, I find it much more difficult to use the QWERTY layout in landscape. The buttons are actually smaller b/c they try to keep in on 3 rows.

ya, but it ain't free :S
Just switch your screen to landscape and your keyboards will be in landscape as well.
Silly question, only had my phone a couple of days but how do you change to landscape mode, so far I only have managed to flip the screen in opera but nothing else?

Well, i just basicly want to text easier, if i flip my phone sideways, it remains the same while texting, i dont understand what you mean, i cant switch it to landscape, can i? how?
you need GSen for screen rotation in virtually all windows except TF3D.
look it up in the forum stickies
Well i cant get gsen to work for me, or even the newer thing
install gsen, tap gsen toggle, you should get a message "Gsen is already working. Turn it off?" or smth like that. like i said, it works in all windows except TF3D.
if that doesn't work for you, flash another rom that has gsen incorporated.
if you still have problems, re-calibrate your gsensor.
worked for me.

Decimal point and comma reversed on landscape keuboard

Hello there,
Just noticed that whenever I'm typing a SMS/MMS in landscape mode using the full QWERTY keyboard, the decimal point and comma are reversed, meaning when I press the decimal point I get a comma and vice versa. Typing in portrait mode is fine, no problems at all. Also, the shifted values and are fine in both landscape and portrait mode.
Any thoughts out there?
Regards, Jack
Are your regional settings set right?
Same problem on mine and regional settings are correct.
Seems like a bug.
Same here. I'd just incorrectly assumed it was a side effect of Gyrator
It happens to me as well, whenever I use the landscape keyboard when I'm "not supposed to" with gsen. When the landscape keyboard is used in Opera this doesn't happen. Should be easy to fix.

It's not confined to gsen or Gyrator either - using AEButton to map "rotate screen" and the keyboard does the same comma/fullstop switch-round.
It is rather annoying that Opera doesn't do the same thing actually - otherwise you can just mentally swap them in your mind and it's fine!
This has nothing to do with Opera, the bug shows in landscape keyboard in any application including Opera, when T9 is on. Turn it off, and the layout goes back to normal.

Gyrator 2 - But keyboard doesn't get bigger?

All:
I have been using Gyrator 2. So far so good. But if the keyboard doesn't increase in size when you rotate the screen I don't see a huge advantage other than reading text or email on wider screen.
With the iPhone, yes I said the bad word, when you rotate the screen your keyboard changes making it easier to type on. That's what I'm really looking for. Something that will change the keyboard to a more finger friendly keyboard when rotated to landscape. Anything out there that can do that?
Also, any way to shrink those huge black bars when you rotate the screen at the top and bottom? I was noticing the top title bar (black bar 1) and the bottom soft menu bar (black bar 2) are HUGE in landscape mode and take up way too much real estate. It would be nice if those screen disolved and only appeared if you tapped the header/footer in a screen. I hope that made sense. Anythign apps than can do that? Or am I wishing on star.
Make sure you're using the default HTC keyboard, not the WM original one. The HTC keyboard (called full QWERTY in the input picker) does change and fill the entire screen widthwise when the screen is rotated.
shueflie, I am. And you're right. It does fit the entire screen but for some reason it sure doesn't seem bigger. Maybe it's just me. I guess it has to be getting bigger...but for some reason it still seems like too many keys squeezed in.
Are there any replacement keyboards, say something like a standard letter only keyboard, and then you press something for numbers only, and then something for special characters only? My fingers are too big.
Try the phone keypad in portrait mode (either with or without T9) and see if that suits you better. There are other keyboards available but I haven't tired any of them
Will give it a shot. If you can direct me to a link with more keyboards I'd appreciate it, in the meantime I'll use the almighty search and see what I can dig up.

Plenty of keyboards out there. Do a quick search in Themes, Applications and Software and you'll find what your looking for!!!
EDIT:
May also want to check Wiki to ensure keyboard software works ok, Programs/Utilites & Games working on the Touch HD (1 - M) & Programs/Utilites working on the Touch HD (N - Z)
Wow an entire wiki, that's what I'm talkin' about. Thanks!

Not all software is shown on these lists. Best option is to do a search for keyboard in Themes, Applications and Software.
If your unsure about anything, refer to this and it should answer most questions you have!

Accelerometer Home Screen Rotation

I've searched the xda-developers > T-Mobile USA HTC HD2 > T-Mobile USA HD2 General forum threads for an answer and also popped into Google for a few rounds of "Guess your real search terms", but haven't found anything yet.
I would like to see a true Accelerometer-based rotation for our phones, especially the Home Screen.
Yes, I am aware that many of the programs like the camera, SMS, Opera, etc. have this availability, but I was thinking of something more like what the iPod Touch / iPhone can do.
Does anyone know if this is in the works by htc?
Is this something that could possibly be done in a kitchen?
BsB Tweaks will work, however it will break the nice cover flow of the pictures and music Tabs.

Yeah, not so much.
If you're using several modified versions of Manila files, it will not "break" the scrolling or screens at all.
Sense 2.5 supports landscape orientation, just NOT for devices without hardware keyboards.
Anyway, yeah... I've used "BsB Tweaks v1.6" to support landscape orientation for all of the Manila home screens. The only screen that has issues is within PEEP. Nowhere else have I come across issues while using landscape mode.
I've used the "Rotate Screen" program to change between Landscape and Portrait, but that's not what I was looking for.
I want to be able to switch between Portrait (0) to Landscape (270) to Portrait (180) to Landscape (90), back to Portrait (0 or 360) just by turning the phone.
If you've ever played with the Album on an iPod Touch, you'll know what I mean.
Basically, if I turn my phone sideways, the screen should shift to match as Landscape (270), then if I turn it so that the speaker is down and the mic is up (90), the screen should be upside down, portrait style, all the way around until I return my phone to the usual mic-down, speaker up portrait style, effectively making a 360-degree turn, with the screen following all the way.
I realize this is probably complicated to read, it was certainly hard to write
search for a cab file here on xda called "total landscape".

I was under the impression that "total landscape" only worked for 0 and 270 and had to be done manually. Am I mistaken?
If you have NOT seen this yet, then I'm sure you'll be able to appreciate it.
It's pretty sweet...
ChangeScreen v2.78
I wish they were still developing it.. but unfortunately as is it doesnt work too well for my TMOUS HD2...
shame that..

Landscape keyboard?

Is there any way to calibrate the landscape keyboard?
Every time i try to press o, i get ip. each letter either side of o.
Its a bit mad and very annoying.
I have tried to mash the keypad for a dialing wand but this does not have good success either
I've not had the problem you mention in landscape, I just tried it there while sending a rude text message to a friend (she'll appreciate it). If anything I'm having issues on the other side of the keyboard in landscape but I hardly ever type in landscape.
Hmm, yeah a friend has now also confirmed that he has no issue but he doesn't use landscape much either.
When you say you are having issues in the other side? Do you mean you have other keys with same issue?
Maybe there is just an issue with our screens? No calibration option for the landscape keyboard?

I mean the other side of the keyboard, QW etc side. I think it's down to the way I hold it and calibration helped a little but this is all in portrait mode. I find it difficult to hold in landscape and type one handed accurately so I use the two thumbs method.
